The purpose of this study is to develop a cultural program model and to provide a cultural program manual for public library. The various program models and manuals were analyzed from the literature, and program expert interviews were conducted. The results show that the culture program model includes inner factors and outer factors. Inner factors include program objective and resources as a program framework. The outer factors include program subject and format, and are what to show and how to show. A cultural program manual is developed for individual public library. The manual has 12 levels and each level has several actions which focus on important role.

The purpose of this study is to improve awareness of cultural diversity and respect different culture, value and lifestyle by providing children from multi cultural family and children from non multi cultural family who are from third to sixth year in elementary school with education on cultural diversity. This study developed cultural diversity education program in public library and applied it to analyze a difference in awareness of cultural diversity education program, a difference in awareness of cultural diversity education program between experimental group and comparative group, library service, use of library service and influence of expansion of service. As a results, it was found that cultural diversity education program helped children understand, accept, consider and respect cultural diversity better.

This study centred around the development of a parenting training program for improving parent-child relationships in multi-cultural families and to examine the effects of the program. The goal of this program was to improve parent-child relationships in multi-cultural families. The program consists of 8 sessions and each session employs a variety of activities and teaching methods to help multi-cultural mothers to become more involved in the a program. The participants were 12 mothers of multi-cultural backgrounds in Seoul and Asan city. There 12 mothers were assigned to the experimental group participated in this program for a total of 8 sessions. Data were analyzed according to frequencies, percentiles, means, standard deviations, and paired t-test. The results of this study indicated that this parenting training program for improving parent-child relationships was effective in improving multi-cultural mother's parenting efficacy and reducing their parenting stress.

The purpose of this study is proposing a method of developing experience program for organizing continuous 'Recreating Cultural and Traditional Village'. Therefore, with having purpose of developing experience program which is deeply related with residents organization and architecture in the village, the researcher has participated in '2005 An-dong Gunjamaul Recreating Cultural and Traditional Village', accomplished developing experience program which can continuously manageable by residents and space and facilities which are accompanied with program. The results of this research are as follows. The developing process of experience program has four phases, selecting program, planning program, growing and changing program, and practicing and firmly establishing program. Moreover, the relationships between space planning and setting up a resident's organization and the experience program need to be considered. The things that experts have to consider are come up with three subjects. First, planning experience program with citizen participation. Second, designing experience program with spaces which will contain the programs. Third, developing programs which are accompanied with rediscover village's resources through continuous feedback.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate the effect of a cultural competency promotion program for nurses in obstetrics-gynecology and pediatrics. Methods: The cultural competency promotion program was developed through the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) steps. In this quasi-experimental study, 30 nurses in obstetrics-gynecology and pediatrics were assigned to the experimental group and 34 nurses were assigned to the control group. The experimental group received this program once a week for four weeks and each class lasted one hour. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ${\chi}^2$-test and Fisher's exact test with the IBM SPSS Statistics version 21.0 program. Results: After attending the program, cultural competency (t=8.30, p<.001) increased significantly in the experimental group compared to the control group. There were also significant differences between two groups in cultural awareness (t=7.53, p<.001), cultural attitude (t=6.41, p<.001), and cultural knowledge & skills (t=7.79, p<.001) as components of cultural competency. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that this cultural competency program is effective and efficient for nurses in obstetrics-gynecology and pediatrics and can help nurses provide appropriate multicultural nursing care in multicultural society.

Supporting strategies of national level are required as the cultural programs in Korean public libraries are becoming one of key tasks which takes more than 30% of total library duties. This study proposed 6 categories of supporting strategies as national and local libraries based on analysis of 88 public libraries's cultural programs and their requirements. The study's research methods mainly include literature investigation, case study and expert panel group discussions. The 6 supporting categories that this study proposes are: (1) Advisory committee working, (2) Development and distribution of the cultural program models (3) Development of cultural program packages, (4) Development and execution of educational programs for cultural program librarians. (5) Financial support policies, (6) Human Resources and networks for local level programs.

The Aim of this study lead to facilitating schemes of cultural program in public libraries. In order to present schemes, We analyzed status of operating cultural programs in domestic and outside the country. Research methods are literature investigation, survey and case analysis. As a result of this research, facilitating for cultural programs in public libraries is presented five schemes. We would like to use the result of this research as basic data for supporting policy of cultural program in public libraries.

This article aims to improve the cultural program for the resident writers in libraries by identifying the current status of the resident writer support project, examining users' perceptions and preferences, and investigating librarians' perceptions of the program. The research methods included an investigation (survey) of the program operation status, user perception and preference surveys, and interviews with librarians about their perceptions of the program. Data were collected from libraries with the cultural program for resident writers between May and November 2021. Findings showed there were challenges in operating the library cultural program due to the lack of resident writers' quality, frequent changes in the program formats (online or offline), and library closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. For the program improvement, suggestions were made, including inviting good-quality resident writers and writers from other fields to the program, training resident writers, advertising the programs using online and offline media, training staff, and developing programs considering user ages and preferences and diversity in local communities.

This study developed and evaluated a school adjustment program for children from multi-cultural families. The program was developed to enhance Korean language ability and adjustment to school for children from multi-cultural backgrounds. 14 preschool children (5 boys and 9 girls) participated in this program. The effect of this program was assessed through a preschool-children's receptive and expressive vocabulary test as well as through a reading ability test. Results showed there was a significant experimental effect (p<.05) in receptive and expressive vocabulary test scores. After the experiment, children showed higher scores in the receptive and expressive vocabulary test than before. Results of the program evaluation revealed this program was helpful for promoting Korean language ability in children and assisted their adjustment to school for children from multi-cultural backgrounds.

Increased multi-cultural families over the recent decade have led to more studies on the current situations and problems they face. Fathers in multi-cultural families are supporters who can help their migrant wives adapt their new surroundings; however, it is difficult to find studies on them as their roles as fathers in multi-cultural families have been overlooked. This study develops educational programs for fathers in multi-cultural families and analyzes the effect of the educational programs. The educational program development for fathers in multi-cultural families was based on consideration of related articles, studies, and reports. The effect analysis for the educational program for fathers in multi-cultural families was performed through the investigation of 'self-esteem' and 'parent self-confidence' about educated fathers in multi-cultural families. The educational program for fathers in multi-cultural families was composed of 5 themes which can improve their self-esteem, understand the father's role and function, learn the skills of playing and conversation with their children and express the father's thoughts for his own family using positive methods. We educated 12 fathers in multi-cultural families through the development of the program over 5 weeks to verify the effect of educational programs for fathers in multi-cultural families. The results showed the following : The level of father's self-esteem in multi-cultural family increased 124% and the level of parent self-confidence increased 141%. In conclusion, the educational effect for fathers in multi-cultural family exists and their desire for a successful multi-cultural family increased through the educational programs.
