  • The purpose of this study was identifying the essential concept of home of middle class and aged housewives by using a critical incident methodology. All 30 subjects participated in structured interviews designed to elicit statements describing the attributes of home and non-home environment. The qualities of comfort, place-attachment, self-expression, fundamental values and personal identity, social relationships, economic value, and a suitable physical structure were associated with home environments, and were absent in residences which were not regarded as homes.

  • This paper presents a conceptual mode of the clothing complaining behavior process following dissatisfaction in a retail environment and influence of relevant variables. The data were collected 250 male and 358 female consumers by questionnaire employing critical incident technique. Given dissatisfaction with clothing the complaining behavior undertaken will be largely dependent on product importance the likelihood of success one's attitude toward complaining and demorgraphic variables. Through empirical research the clothing complaining behavior was dependent on the likelihood of success sex, dimension of complaining cost and product importance, Brand satisfaction was affected by only perceived justice. And repurchasing behavior was dependent upon brand satisfaction education product importance and income.

A Far Field Solution of the Slowly Varying Drift Force on an Offshore Structure in Bichromatic Waves - Two Dimensional Problems

  • A far field solution of the slowly varying force on an offshore structure by gravity ocean waves was shown as a function of the reflection and transmission of the body disturbed waves. The solution was obtained from the conservation of the momentum flux, which simply describes various wave forces, while making it unnecessary to compute complicated integration over a control surface. The solution was based on the assumption that the frequency difference of the bichromatic incident waves is small and its second order term is negligible. The final solution is expressed in term of the reflection and transmission waves, i.e. their amplitudes and phase angles. Consequently, it shows that not only the amplitudes but also the phase differences make critical contributions to the slowly varying force. In a limiting case, the slowly varying force solution gives the one of the mean drift force, which is only dependent on the reflection wave amplitude. An approximation is also suggested in a case where only the mean drift force information is available.

Recurrence of Minimal Change Disease Following a Motor Vehicle Trauma: An Atypical Cause and Review of Literature

  • Minimal change disease (MCD) in children has a favorable long-term prognosis, and development of end-stage renal disease is very uncommon; less than 5%. In the first case of its kind, we report a 21-year-old female with a history of MCD at the age of 6, who had late relapse subsequent to a motorcycle accident resulting in a de-gloving skin injury and intensive care unit admission. MCD was confirmed by normal light microscopy, podocyte effacement on electron microscopy and absence of any deposits on immunofluorescence 3 weeks after the incident due to critical illness. It is postulated that the skin injury is what caused the relapse of MCD.

The Moderating Role of Attribution in Penalty Judgment: An Empirical Study in the Financial Service Industry

  • Many financial service organizations use various types of penalties (e.g., late payment fee, overdraft fee), often inflicting customer complaints and, in extreme cases, attrition. This study examines how customers evaluate penalties using concepts from attribution theory and literatures of social justice and customer satisfaction/dissatisfaction. The study hypothesizes that both cognitive (i.e., attribution, perceived fairness, disconfirmation) and affective (i.e., emotion) responses influence customer's penalty judgment and tests the effect of moderation between attribution and perceived fairness on penalty judgment. The study uses a cross sectional survey design and collects data using the critical incident technique. The results show that attributions have significant moderating effects on the relationship between perceived fairness and dissatisfaction with the penalty and that perceived fairness, emotion, and attribution have a significant influence on penalty evaluation. The study provides discussion of the findings and managerial implications.

CIT를 이용한 서비스실패와 복구에 관한 연구 (A Study on Service Failure and Recovery Using CIT)

  • 본 연구는 Critical Incident Technique(CIT)를 이용하여 음식점에서 서비스 실패를 야기하는 결정적인 사건과 서비스 실패/복구수준과의 관계를 고찰해 보았다. 이와 더불어 불만족한 고객을 만족한 고객으로 전환시키는 데에 중요한 역할을 하는 고객이 바라는 복구와 점포 개선사항을 추가로 제시함으로써 실용적인 마케팅 접근을 시도하였다. 본 연구에서는 고객 불만족 원인이 서비스상품의 결함에 대부분 기인한다는 Hoffman et al. (1995)과 Tax et al. (1998)의 결과와는 달리 서비스 실패를 일으키는 주원인은 서비스제공자에게 있다는 흥미로운 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 그 동안 국내의 많은 서비스관련 연구들이 서비스 만족과 불만족에 대해 양적 (quantitative)으로 접근한 것과는 달리 본 연구는 질적(qualitative) 접근을 시도하였다. 또한 본 연구는 CIT를 이용한 최초의 서비스 복구에 대한 연구이며, 기존의 연구들이 단순히 서비스 실패의 유형을 범주화하고 복구의 종류를 알아보는 것에 그치고 있는 데 반해 본 연구에서는 고객이 바라는 복구종류와 서비스 제공자의 개선 사항, 서비스 실패를 경험한 고객들의 구전활동에 관한 조사결과와 전략적 시사점도 함께 제시함으로써, 일선 관리자들이 본 연구의 결과를 기업의 마케팅전략 수립에 효과적으로 활용이 가능하다는 점에서 그 의의가 크다고 할 수 있다.

복사열을 이용한 샌드위치 패널 심재의 연소특성 분석 (A Combustion Characteristic Analysis of Sandwich Panel Core Using Radiation Heat Flux)

  • 본 연구에서는 샌드위치 패널 심재에 대한 연소열과 일정한 외부 복사열에 의한 연소특성을 분석하였다. 일정한 외부 복사열원에 노출된 샌드위치 패널 심재의 착화시간, 임계열유속, 착화온도, 시료 표면 온도의 변화를 측정하기 위해 3가지 Type의 시료를 사용하였으며, 연소열을 측정하기 위해 Oxygen bomb calorimeter를, 연소특성을 측정하기 위해 Mass loss calorimeter를 사용하였다. 연소특성을 측정하기 위해 $100\;mm{\times}100\;mm{\times}50\;mm$ 크기의 시료를 사용하였다. 연구결과, 연소열과 착화온도에 있어서 가장 좋은 특성을 갖는 것은 Type B인 반면 임계열유속과 시료 표면온도 변화에 있어서는 Type C에서 가장 좋은 특성을 나타내었다. 모든 연구 데이터를 종합한 결과 Type C가 가장 좋은 화재안정성을 나타낸다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 향후, 샌드위치 패널 심재에 대한 열방출률 특성과 질량감소속도에 대한 실험연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 기업의 내부 정보 유출 감사 및 침해사고 사건에서 파일 처리 이력을 확보할 수 있다면 사용자의 행위를 좀 더 명확하게 추적하여 사건을 입증하는데 많은 도움이 될 수 있다. 윈도우에서는 파일 접근 이력을 확보할 수 있는 아티팩트들이 여럿 존재하나 부분적인 정보만 존재하거나 아티팩트의 특성상 오래 보존되어 있지 않아 사건 입증이 어려운 경우들이 많이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 윈도우에서 제공하는 파일 감사 기능인 SACL(System Access Control List)을 활용하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 외부 솔루션을 도입할 수 없는 소규모 조직이라 하더라도 윈도우 설정을 강화하여 사고 발생 시 사건을 좀 더 명확히 입증할 수 있는 환경을 만들 수 있을 것이다.

고출력 저에너지 이온빔을 이용한 InP(100) 표면의 나노 패턴형성 (Fabrication of Nanostructures on InP(100) Surface with Irradiation of Low Energy and High Flux Ion Beams)

  • InP(100) crystal surface was irradiated by ion beams with low energy $(180\~225\;eV)$ and high flux $(\~10^{15}/cm^2/s)$, Self-organization process induced by ion beam was investigated by examining nano structures formed during ion beam sputtering. As an ion source, an electrostatic closed electron Hall drift thruster with a broad beam size was used. While the incident angle $(\theta)$, ion flux (J), and ion fluence $(\phi)$ were changed and InP crystal was rotated, cone-like, ripple, and anistropic nanostrucuture formed on the surface were analyzed by an atomic force microscope. The wavelength of the ripple is about 40 nm smaller than ever reported values and depends on the ion flux as $\lambda{\propto}J^{-1/2}$, which is coincident with the B-H model. As the incident angle is varied, the root mean square of the surface roughness slightly increases up to the critical angle but suddenly decreases due to the decrease of sputtering yield. By the rotation of the sample, the formation of nano dots with the size of $95\~260\;nm$ is clearly observed.

  • Corporation's valuable intelligent asset is being threatened from the skills of threatening subject that has been evolved along with the growth of the information system and the amount of the information asset. Domestically, attempts of various private information attacks, important information extortion, and information damage have been detected, and some of them have abused the vulnerability of security of information system, and have become a severe social problem that generates security incident. When accessing to the security, most of companies used to establish a strategy with a consistent manner and a solution plan. However, this is not a proper way. The order of priorities vary depending on the types of business. Also, the scale of damage varies significantly depending on the types of security incidents. And method of reaction and critical control point vary depending on the types of business and security incidents. In this study, I will define the security incidents by their types and preponderantly examine how one should react to those security incidents. In this study, analyzed many types of security accidents that can occur within a corporation and an organization considering various factors. Through this analysis, thought about factors that has to be considered by corporations and organizations when they intend to access to the information security. This study focuses on the response methodology based on the analysis of the case analysis of the leakage of industrial secret and private secret other than the conceptual response methodology that examines the way to prevent the leakage of the industry security systems and the industry information activities. And based on these factors, want to be of help for corporations to apply a reasonable approach when they establish a strategy to information security.
