창의성 증진을 위한 유추의 활용방법 (2) - 주거공간 디자인 과제를 중심으로 한 실험연구 - (A Study on Using Method of Analogy for Creativity Enhancement(2) - Experimental Study Focused on the Design Task of Residential Space -)

  • The objective of this study is to find an educational method that is able to increase creativity using both left and right directed thinking with complementary cooperation. The premise of experimental study is that analogical inference is a great help to produce a creative design, and the design tasks of residential space are given to 20 students, voluntary participants in four experimental tests. The first test is conducted with fundamental conditions such as site or location, users and their design requirements. Other three tests make a clear distinction with three cases using verbal analogy from many keywords, using visual analogy from many images and using verbal visual analogy from keywords and visual images. Consequently, when students use both verbal and visual analogy in solving design tasks their creative ability qualitatively as well as quantitatively is higher than in using only verbal analogy or visual analogy. Further study will be progressed with the design tasks of residential space in order to have an effective verification by comparing students' design results classified into two groups. One is a control group that consists of sophomore students in a college and another is a comparison group that consists of sophomore students in an university.

  • 창의성은 문제인식과 해결방법으로 상상력을 통한 새로운 이미지의 사고능력과 표현이다. 이 연구는 신체움직임의 창의성이론을 탐구하고 창의성 요인을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 신체움직임의 창의성은 첫째, 움직임 자각 둘째, 신체움직임 디자인 셋째, 움직임의 발견, 넷째, 움직임활용이라는 단계가 필요하다. 자기지각과 자아개념을 통한 새로운 이미지의 활용은 문제인식과 해결기능에 대한 창의적인 향상을 가져온다. 결론적으로 신체움직임의 창의성은 상호작용에 의한 '제3의 힘'과 '흐름의 유연성'으로 신체움직임의 무한성을 의미한다.

Teaching English Literature and Critical Thinking, beyond just Language Acquisition

  • This study suggests that English literature educators need to be eclectic and flexible in applying theories and methods, not simply adhering to one or two for all situations and occasions. They need to be available to go with the flow and particularly employ whatever is needed at any given moment of class time. There is a current trend emphasizing English literature as merely a language resource rather than the study of English literature as an end in itself. Without much attention given to literary analysis and criticism, students tend to lack creative and critical thinking abilities. Given the current imbalance, it would seem important to address the issue, and create English class programs that maintain a balance between teaching the study of English literature to improve students' critical thinking abilities, and its use as a language resource. To fulfill this goal, thorough preparation is required. Indeed, we can direct our intelligence more effectively when we are well prepared and we are familiar with the basic methods and mechanics of teaching our subject. The greatest achievement of the English literature class I taught was that the students showed unexpectedly remarkable creative and critical appreciation of the novel we studied, in addition to improving their English language skills.

전통문양을 활용한 Symmetry 디자인 전개 (A Study of Symmetry Design Process Using the Traditional Patterns)

  • This research aims to recognize necessity of modern expression of traditional pattern, understand the matter which is expressed when developing design using traditional pattern, and find the solutions. As the solutions, this research presents design of traditional pattern using symmetry concept and works on the possibility of symmetry as the pattern design. So this research carried out in-depth interview to textile designer working at Gyeongsangnam-do, analyzed the substances. The main results are as follows. First, the presented problems of developing common pattern design and designing using traditional pattern show the necessities for adequate harmony among conception of creative idea, traditional pattern and present pattern. As the solution, the efficient design principles are required. Second, the seven traditional figures can present design applying symmetry, also draw the 8 mapping models for the visuality and utilization. Third, the symmetry-applied traditional pattern design makes it possible for the traditional figure to be represented with the creative and modern sense and provides easier way to the design development by complementing the pattern design formation. As the result, symmetry-utilized traditional pattern design improvement shows the expectation that it will increase the design development ability and ease the figure drawing. In addition, the pattern development which can be applied to any figure presents the time efficiency as well as possibility of the high added value textile industry.

융합인재교육(STEAM) 프로그램이 중학생의 논리적 사고력에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of STEAM Program on the Logical Thinking Ability of Middle School Students)

  • 이 연구는 융합인재교육(STEAM)프로그램을 중학생들에게 적용하였을 때 논리적사고력에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위한 것이다. 따라서, 융합인재교육(STEAM) 프로그램의 준거 틀인 상황제시, 창의적 설계, 감성적 체험의 수업절차에 따라, 융합인재교육(STEAM) 선행연구를 통해 프로그램을 개발하였다. 융합인재교육(STEAM)프로그램이 전체적으로 논리적사고력 향상을 확인하기 위해 중학생 2학년 47명을 무선표집하여 4주 동안 6차시의 수업을 실시하였다. 융합인재교육(STEAM)프로그램 실시 후 인지단계에서는 변화가 거의 없었으나 논리적 사고력이 향상되었고 특히 보존논리, 조합논리에서 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.(p<0.5)

  • On considering the mathematical creativity of the gifted in mathematics, some points should be reflected such as the characteristics of leaners, the gifted and of domain-special facts in mathematics. And the clear view of mathematical creativity of the gifted in mathematics makes a way to define the meanings of creative-productive ability and of creative products. Therefore to explicate the concept of mathematical creativity of the gifted in mathematics, researcher reviewed literacies of the concept of creativity in general fields, classical mathematicians, and school mathematics. In conclusion, first, mathematical creativity of the gifted in mathematics should be considered on the aspects of subject-mathematics, object-the gifted, and performing-gifted education. Second, it contains advanced problem solving matters on the school mathematics curriculum but reflect the process of recovery and reinvent and it is suggested in [fig.1] and [fig.2].

공학설계수업에서의 PBL 모형 개발 및 효과 분석 (Development of a PBL model and Analysis of its Effect in Engineering Design Instruction)

  • 지식정보화 사회로의 진전이 가속화 되는 21세기에 공학도들에게 창의적 문제해결능력이 무엇보다 강조되고 있는데, 이러한 능력 개발을 위한 접근방식은 다양할 것이다. 본 연구는, 문제중심학습(PBL)이 그러한 접근방식에 있어 하나의 효과적인 대안으로 인식하고, 기존의 PBL모형에 기초하지만 대학 공학설계수업에 적합하도록 독자적으로 개발하고 그 효과를 수업현장에서 검증해 본 'JPBL' 모형을 소개하는 것을 주목적으로 하였다. 효과분석 결과, JPBL 수업을 받기 전과 후의 수업만족도와 조직몰입도는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 이러한 양적인 결과는 질적자료 분석에서도 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과에 터해 JPBL 모형 개발의 의미와 한계에 대해 논의하였다.

비판적 사고를 적용한 공학설계 보고서 쓰기 교육 연구 (A Study on Engineering Design Report Writing Education Using Critical Thinking)

  • Critical thinking ability based on a sound sense of logic is essential for analyzing a given engineering design problem and assessing it to arrive at the most plausible conclusion. Engineering design classes require students to organize their engineering design experiences through reports, and engineering design reports require detailed specifications of their tasks at each stage. Given the nature of these curriculums, design classes provide writing courses focusing on science and engineering within specialized fields, but there still lies many obstacles for communication education that embraces both general education and major subjects. This study proposes a specified step-by-step writing model for engineering design reports that encompasses critical thinking for the objective of systemizing design experiences from engineering design report writing. For the purpose of the study, the concepts and relationship between critical thinking and creative problem solving have been examined, followed by a proposal of application methods for critical thinking criteria and elements from a case example on engineering design. Furthermore, the study proposes a critical thinking-based assessment rubric for logical decision making at each stage of engineering design as well as a resulting model for engineering design report writing.

럭셔리 패션브랜드에 나타난 하위문화 양상의 의미 분석 (Analysis of the Meaning of Subculture Aspects in Luxury Fashion Brands)

  • This study identified the characteristics of the subculture aspects that led to the success of luxury brands and analyzed the implications of those aspects. For this, semantic analysis in a socio-cultural context was performed. Additionally, this study took the theoretical background, the change in subculture and post-subculture, the digital youth generation, and the change in the meaning of subculture style into consideration. The subculture style aspect and its meaning in luxury fashion brands were analyzed as follows: First, there are challenges that betray the legitimacy or values of luxury brands. Through this, the brand gained recognition and increased sales, and the designer gained a reputation as an innovative creative director. It can be seen that more successful branding was promoted by securing a more subcultured fandom. Second, by combining subculture image fragments, these brands cater to the diverse tastes of a myriad of subcultures. This maximizes commercial profits. Third, most promotional marketing activities are collaborative and done digitally, which allows for a wider customer base, but the difference is in digital capabilities. Limited editions or application use on social networks can act as another driver. It is said that the distinction in high-priced luxury brands is not only driven by economic power but also by sub-cultural capital and digital ability.

소프트웨어 교육에서 학습자 주도 평가의 효과성 고찰 (A Study on the Effectiveness of Learner-led Assessment in Software Education)

  • 미래교육을 준비하면서 소프트웨어 교육은 그 필요성이 점점 증대되고 있다. 소프트웨어 교육에서 운영의 내용과 더불어 평가 부분도 중요한 영역으로 대두되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 문헌 연구를 통해 소프트웨어 교육에서 학습자 주도 평가의 효과성을 살펴보고, 이것이 교육 현장에 시사하는 점에 대해 고찰해 보고자 하였다. 초등학생 대상으로 학습자 주도 평가 모형을 적용한 소프트웨어 교육을 실시한 연구에 따르면 학습자 주도 평가는 학생들의 창의력, 문제해결력, 정보 활용력 등의 향상에 유의미한 효과를 보였으며, 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 흥미 또한 높아지게 하였다. 앞으로 관련 연구를 통해 학교 현장이 학생주도의 소프트웨어 교육을 통해 미래교육을 준비해 나가는 데 도움이 될 수 있기를 기대한다.
