접합유리와 반응된 Fe-Hf-N 박막의 연자기 특성 (Soft Magnetic Properties of Fe-Hf-N Films Reacted with Bonding Glass)

  • 열처리 온도에 따라 접합유리와의 화학적 반응이 Fe-Hf-N/SiO$_2$, 및 Fe-Hf-N/Cr/SiO$_2$ 박막의 물리적, 자기적 특성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 접합유리와 반응된 Fe-Hf-N/SiO$_2$ 박막의 연자기 특설은 온도가 증가함에 따라 크게 떨어졌으며, $600^{\circ}C$에서 포화자화값은 1 kG, 보자력이 27 Oe, 10MHz에서의 유효투자율이 70로 자기적 특성이 급격히 열화되었다. 이는 접합유리와의 화학적 반응에 의해 Fe-Hf-N 박막이 H$_{f}$ O$_2$, Fe$_3$O$_4$ 등으로 산화되기 때문인 것으로 나타났다. Fe-Hf-N/Cr/SiO$_2$ 박막의 경우, $600^{\circ}C$에서 포화자화값 13.5kG, 보자력은 4Oe, 10 MHz에서의 유효 투자율이 700으로 Fe-Hf-N/SiO$_2$ 박막보다 연자기 특성 열화가 덜 일어났다. 이는 Fe-Hf-N/Cr/SiO$_2$ 박막의 Cr 층이 Fe-Hf-N 박막의 산화를 억제하여. 일부에서만 HfO$_2$가 생성되고 나머지는 원래의 $\alpha$-Fe상을 유지하기 때문인 것으로 나타났다.

  • Ni기 초합금은 Co, Cr, Mo, W등의 고용 강화 원소와 AI, Ti, Nb, Ta 등의 $\gamma '$ 석출 강화 원소로 구성되어 있다. 초합금의 기계적 성질과 내산화성을 개선하기 위하여 희토류 원소를 재료 내부에 첨가하거나, 코팅 재료로써 사용하고 있다. 이들 희토류 원소는 $Al_2O_3, Cr_2O_3$등의 산화물의 종류에 따라 산화물의 성장 속도와 밀착성에 영향을 미친다. Hf함유 Ni기 초합금 AF115와 $AI_2O_3$ 함유 MA6000초합금 2종을 이온 코터를 이용, Yttrium 표면개질후, 온도 1273K-1473K에서 고온 산화 수 산호 피막의 성장 속도, 결정립, 내부 구조 및 내박리성에 미치는 Yttrium 의 영향을 조사하였다. AF115와 MA6000 초합금에 Yttrium코팅을 한 결과 내부 산화물의 성장에 현저한 변화가 있었다. Yttrium의 표면 개질에 의하여, AF115의 경우는 $AI_2O_3$ 주성분의 입계 집중과 Hf의 우선 산확 억제되고, 삼각 형태의 내부 산화물이 plate형으로 변화되었다. MA6000의 경우 $AI_2O_3$ 주성분의 산화층이$Cr_2O_3$주성분의 외부 산화층과$AI_2O_3$ 주성분의 내부층으로 변화되었다.

$CoCr_{16.2}Pt_{10.8}Ta_4$ 합금박막의 Ti 우선증착에 따른 자기적 특성과 자구형상변화 (Magnetic properties and the shapes of magnetic domain for $CoCr_{16.2}Pt_{10.8}Ta_4$ alloy films with the prior deposition of Ti layer)

  • 수직보자력이 크고 CoCrPt에 비하여 noise 저감 효과가 큰 것으로 알려진 CoCrPtTa계 합금박막의 수직이방성을 더욱 개선하기 위해 Ti를 우선 증착하였다. 본 연구에서는 Ti 두께 변화에 따른 비교적 높은 수직보자력치를 보였던 $CoCr_{16.2}Pt_{10.8}Ta_4$Ti/glass 시편에서 자기적 특성과 자구형상의 변화를 살펴보았다. 또한 VSM(Vibrating Sample Magnetometer)을 이용하여 M-H loop를 측정하였으며 자구형상은 MFM(Magnetic Force Microscopy)로 관찰하였다. 육방정 Ti가 하지층으로서 우선증착되면 bare glass 직접 증착되는 경우보다 CoCrPtTa 자성층의 수직이방성에 현저한 향상을 가져왔으며 Ti의 두께가 두꺼울수록 c-축 배향성도 개선되었다. MFM 결과에 의하면 Ti두레가 20 nm에서 90 nm로 증가함에 따라 자구형상이 연속적인 stripe type에서 mass type으로 분절된 형태로 변하였다. 이는 Ti의 증착이 비자성 Cr 편석 거동에 영향을 미쳐 자화반전시 인접 columnar grain의 자화벡터들간의 상호교환작용을 억제하는 자기적 분리 효과에 기여했음을 의미한다. 아울러 이와 같은 거동은 Ti가 CoCr계 자성층의 수직이방성을 개선하는데 있어서 형상자기이방성적인 측면에서의 기여가 현저함을 의미하기도 한다.

  • 20wt%NiCr이 크래드된 크롬카바이드 분말과 7wt%NiCr이 기계적으로 혼합된 크롬카바이드 분말을 이용하여 HVOF 용사된 용사층의 특성(미세조직, 결정상, 경도값 그리고 erosion rate)을 비교하였다. 용사상태의 미세조직강의 특성은 크래드분말의 경우에 primary $\textrm{Cr}_{3}\textrm{C}_{2}$상이 용사층에는 남아 있었으나 혼합분말의 경우에는 primary $\textrm{Cr}_{3}\textrm{C}_{2}$ 상은 용사층에 거의존재하지 않았다. 또한 XRD 분석결과 두 분말 모두 용사과정에서 크롬카바이드의 분해는 일어났으나 분해율은 크래드분말의 경우가 혼합분말보다 낮았다. 용사상태에서 경도값은 혼합분말의 경우가 높았으며 $1000^{\circ}C$까지 열처리 후 혼합분말의 경도값은 1665까지 증가하였으나 크래드분말은 $600^{\circ}C$를 정점으로 감소하는 경향을 보였다.

An Experimental Implementation of a Cross-Layer Approach for Improving TCP Performance over Cognitive Radio Networks

  • In cognitive radio networks (CRNs), the performance of the transmission control protocol (TCP) at the secondary user (SU) severely drops due to the mistrigger of congestion control. A long disruption is caused by the transmission of primary user, leading to the mistrigger. In this paper, we propose a cross-layer approach, called a CR-aware scheme that enhances TCP performance at the SU. The scheme is a sender side addition to the standard TCP (i.e., TCP-NewReno), and utilizes an explicit cross-layer signal delivered from a physical (or link) layer and the signal gives an indication of detecting the primary transmission (i.e., transmission of the primary user). We evaluated our scheme by implementing it onto a software radio platform, the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP), where many parts of lower layer operations (i.e., operations in a link or physical layer) run as user processes. In our implementation, we ran our CR-aware scheme over IEEE 802.15.4. Furthermore, for the purpose of comparison, we implemented a selective ACK-based local recovery scheme that helps TCP isolate congestive loss from a random loss in a wireless section.

Micro-scale Observation of Corrosion of Hot-Dip Aluminized 11% Cr Stainless Steel

  • Hot-dip aluminized coating has been widely used to protect steel substrate against corrosion. In this study, the corrosion behavior of hot-dip aluminized type 409L (11% Cr) stainless steel (SS) was investigated using macro- and micro-scale polarization tests. An Al-Fe-Si alloy layer that was formed due to inter-diffusion of alloying elements between Al coating and SS substrate was observed between Al coating and 409L SS substrate. In both macro- and micro-scale polarization tests, the corrosion potential ($E_{corr}$) of the 409L SS substrate was much nobler than that of the Al coating and alloy layer. $E_{corr}$ of the alloy layer was between that of Al coating and 409L SS substrate. This indicates that the alloy layer can act as a buffer between the more active Al coating and the nobler SS substrate for pit growth in aluminized SS. The presence of the alloy layer appears to be helpful in hindering pitting corrosion of aluminized SS.

Fitting accuracy of ceramic veneered Co-Cr crowns produced by different manufacturing processes

  • PURPOSE. The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the fitting accuracy of single crowns made from a novel presintered Co-Cr alloy prepared with a computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technique, as compared with crowns manufactured by other digital and the conventional casting technique. Additionally, the influence of oxide layer on the fitting accuracy of specimens was tested. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A total of 40 test specimens made from Co-Cr alloy were investigated according to the fitting accuracy using a replica technique. Four different methods processing different materials were used for the manufacture of the crown copings (milling of presintered (Ceramill Sintron-group_cer_sin) or rigid alloy (Tizian NEM-group_ti_nem), selective laser melting (Ceramill NPL-group_cer_npl), and casting (Girobond NB-group_gir_nb)). The specimens were adapted to a resin model and the outer surfaces were airborne-particle abraded with aluminum oxide. After the veneering process, the fitting accuracy (absolute marginal discrepancy and internal gap) was evaluated by the replica technique in 2 steps, before removing the oxide layer from the intaglio surface of the crowns, and after removing the layer with aluminum oxide airborne-particle abrasion. Statistical analysis was performed by multifactorial analysis of variance (ANOVA) (α=.05). RESULTS. Mean absolute marginal discrepancy ranged between 20 ㎛ (group_cer_npl for specimens of Ceramill NPL) and 43 ㎛ (group_cer_sin for crowns of Ceramill Sintron) with the oxide layer and between 19 ㎛ and 28 ㎛ without the oxide layer. The internal gap varied between 33 ㎛ (group_ti_nem for test samples of Tizian NEM) and 75 ㎛ (group_gir_nb for the base material Girobond NB) with the oxide layer and between 30 ㎛ and 76 ㎛ without the oxide layer. The absolute marginal discrepancy and the internal gap were significantly influenced by the fabrication method used (P<.05). CONCLUSION. Different manufacturing techniques had a significant influence on the fitting accuracy of single crowns made from Co-Cr alloys. However, all tested crowns showed a clinically acceptable absolute marginal discrepancy and internal gap with and without oxide layer and could be recommended under clinical considerations. Especially, the new system Ceramill Sintron showed acceptable values of fitting accuracy so it can be suggested in routine clinical work.

Ni 기지 초내열합금의 고온산화 저항성에 미치는 Ti의 영향 (Effects of Ti on High Temperature Oxidation of Ni-Based Superalloys)

  • The effects of Ti on the high temperature oxidation of Ni-based superalloys were investigated by cyclic oxidation at $850^{\circ}C$ and $1000^{\circ}C$. The oxide scale formed at $850^{\circ}C$ consists of $Cr_2O_3$, $Al_2O_3$, and $NiCr_2O_4$ layers, while a continuous $Al_2O_3$ layer was formed at $1000^{\circ}C$. The oxidation rate of the alloy with higher Ti content was higher than the alloy with less Ti content at $850^{\circ}C$, possibly due to the increase in the metal vacancy concentration in the $Cr_2O_3$ layer involved by incorporation of $Ti^{4+}$. However, Ti improved the oxidation resistance of the superalloy at $1000^{\circ}C$ by reducing oxygen vacancy concentration in $Al_2O_3$ layer.

Continuous and discontinuous contact problem for a layered composite resting on simple supports

  • The frictionless contact problem for a layered composite which consists of two elastic layers having different elastic constants and heights resting on two simple supports is considered. The external load is applied to the layered composite through a rigid stamp. For values of the resultant compressive force P acting on the stamp vertically which are less than a critical value $P_{cr}$ and for small flexibility of the layered composite, the continuous contact along the layer - the layer and the stamp - the layered composite is maintained. However, if the flexibility of the layered composite increases and if tensile tractions are not allowed on the interface, for P > $P_{cr}$, a separation may be occurred between the stamp and the layered composite or two elastic layers interface along a certain finite region. The problem is formulated and solved for both cases by using Theory of Elasticity and Integral Transform Technique. Numerical results for $P_{cr}$, separation initiation distance, contact stresses, distances determining the separation area, and the vertical displacement in the separation zone between two elastic layers are given.

고온 리튬용융염에서 Ni 200 및 Ni-base 합금의 부식거동 (Corrosion Behavior of Ni 200 and Ni-base Alloys in Hot Lithium Molten salt)

  • In the development of the advanced spent fuel management process based on the molten salt technology, it is essential to choose the optimum material for the process equipment handling molten salt. Corrosion behavior of Ni 200 and Ni-base alloys in molten salt of LiCl-$Li_2$O under oxidation atmosphere was investigated in the temperature range of $650~800^{\circ}C$ for 24~312 hrs. The order of corrosion rate was Ni 200 > Inconel 690 > Inconel 601 > Inconel 600. Inconel 600 alloy showed the highest corrosion resistance among the examined alloys, but Ni 200 exhibited the highest corrosion rate. Corrosion products of Inconel 600 and Inconel 601 were $Cr_2$$O_3$ and $NiFe_2$$O_4$. In case of Inconel 690, a single layer of $CrO_2$$O_3$ was formed in the early stage of corrosion and an outer layer of $NiFe_2$O$_4$ and inner layer of $Cr_2$$O_3$ were formed with increase of corrosion time. Inconel 600 showed local corrosion behavior and Inconel 601, 690 showed uniform corrosion behavior.
