The social venture start-up phenomenon is found from the perspectives of social enterprise and for-profit enterprise. This study aims to fundamentally explore the start-up phenomenon of social ventures from these two perspectives. Considering the lack of prior research that researched both social and commercial perspectives at the same time, this paper analyzed using grounded theory approach of Strauss & Corbin(1998), an inductive research method that analyzes based on prior research and interview data. In order to collect data for this study, eight corporate representatives currently operating social ventures were interviewed and data and phenomena were analyzed. This progressed to a theoretical saturation where no additional information was derived. The analysis results of this study using the grounded theory approach are as follows. As a result of open coding and axial coding, 147 concepts and 70 subcategories were derived, and 18 categories were derived through the final abstraction process. In the selective coding, 'expansion of social venture entry in the social domain' and 'expansion of social function of for-profit companies' were selected as key categories, and a story line was formed around this. In this study, we saw that it is necessary to conduct academic research and analysis on the competitive factors required for companies that pursue the values of two conflicting relationships, such as social ventures, to survive with competitiveness. In practice, concepts such as collaboration with for-profit companies, value combination, entrepreneurship competency and performance improvement, social value execution competency reinforcement, communication strategy, for-profit enterprise value investment, and entrepreneur management competency were derived. This study explains the social venture phenomenon for social enterprises, commercial enterprises, and entrepreneurs who want to enter the social venture field. It is expected to provide the implications necessary for successful social venture startups.

Among many factors, especially meteorological conditions can impact agricultural productivities. This study was conducted to analyze the relationships between crop yield and meteorological factors. We collected meteorological data (i.e., temperature and precipitation) from the Automated Weather System (AWS) of Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) and the yield data of Chinese cabbage and Radish from local Nonghyup (NCAF:National Agricultural Cooperative Federation) and Farmers' Corporate Association. The agricultural data were classified into two groups. These groups are comprised of the farmers who produced a crop under 30 kg per $3.3m^2$ and over 30k g per $3.3m^2$ respectively. The daily meteorological data were calculated from the average value for ten days. Based on the regression analysis, we concluded that the yield of Chinese cabbage (Haenam) was related to average temperature, minimum temperature, precipitation, and number of days with precipitation, whereas that of Radish (Jeju) was related to average temperature, maximum temperature, and minimum temperature. The result suggests that these meteorological data can be used more effectively for the prediction of crop yield.
The purpose of this study was to confirm the influence of the types of organizational culture perceived by members of Korean network companies on customer orientation and service orientation. Therefore, the results of the valid survey for the final 165 among the results of 204 applicants for about two weeks from September 7th to 25th, 2020 using the SSP 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 statistical package programs showed the following results. First, as a result of the analysis of the impact of organizational culture on customer orientation, the sub-factors of the organizational culture, such as relationship-oriented culture, innovation-oriented culture, hierarchical-oriented culture, and task-oriented culture types, all had a positive (+) effect on customer-oriented. It was analyzed as crazy. In other words, it can be seen that the organizational culture has a statistically significant impact on customer orientation in that it gives positive meaning through a comprehensive operation rather than a single substructure. Second, as a result of analyzing the effect of organizational culture on service orientation, organizational culture showed positive (+) influence on service orientation. In other words, it was analyzed that relational orientation, innovation orientation, hierarchical orientation, and task orientation, which are sub-constituent factors of organizational culture, act as positive factors for service orientation.
The purpose of this study was to confirm the effect of the marital satisfaction, depression, and self-esteem on the quality of life. 131 workers in K area were used for the final analysis. The data collection was conducted from March 15nd, 2017 to April 10th, 2017. The quality of life was measured by means of Korean version of life scale abbreviated version, WHOQOL-BREF. Descriptive statics, t-test, two-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and step wise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 18.0 were used to analyze the data. As a result of study, it was confirmed that regular workers were higher than irregular workers in the quality of life, marital satisfaction, depression, and self-esteem all. The quality of life was explained by the martial satisfaction, depression, averagely monthly pay, and spouse relationship as 34.3%. It is necessary to essentially implement the government's support and the corporate cooperation for the improvement of working condition in order to enhance the life quality of workers. Also, workers need to give value to themselves leading their life and form a positive relationship with people around them not to let their family life be negatively affected due to the employment stress.
Increased appetite for art and design due to improving the economic standard of living and industrial community recognized the value of art in the profitable aspect currently demands various exhibitions in various environments. These social needs and changes in corporate culture to meet the rapidly expanding opportunities for artistic exhibitions, and this modern exhibition outside of the conventional gallery requires more for designers to work with various exhibition spaces, and the opportunities are increasing further. Various types of exhibition space in the exhibition planning an unspecified environment best suited to each exhibit space has been designed to require. This comprehensive study of an environmental poster exhibition held in the Seoul Institute of the Arts, MA-block lobby during 2009.06.10-06.19 was a part of the international exchange projects between Seoul Institute of the Arts and California State University, Northridge. Planning and designing throughout the exhibition in an unspecified space for exhibition requires more creativity and flexible approaches than in the general exhibition gallery.
After the callapse of the 80's bubble economy. consumers tend to consider the fundamental values of a product such as price, usage, and quality more significantly than ever before. Due to this change in attitude. the most important factor in a consumer's decision for choosing a product becomes the quality of a product that safisfies consumer's practical values whith convincing features and logical differentiations devoted to fundamental values. Under the circumstances. Factor Oriented Process and Multi-Sequential Process are proposede not just as merely defining concept through study of consumers' needs. but as methods of gaining competitive edge and eatablishing corporate identity in market, competition by bringing out consumers' various wants and needs to lead them to a specific product. Factor Oriented Process emphasizes the analysis of factors within the process itself, especially the synthesis of factors which would bring about new solutions as its special feature and acts as a logical element for further design development. Thus, the synthesis process consists of re-organizing analyzed factors, andduring this process, analyzing correlation between the restrictions of factors would lead to discovery of 'dominant factors'. Afterward, design basis may be formed with design concepts proposed by several concept codes made up of one dominant factor and other associate factors. Multi-Sequential Process is an extensive approach to discover differentiated design proposals through careful examination of dominant factors within the product, and furthermor, to discount 'anterior factor' (directional factors that decide design directions based on multi-value criteria) for self-determined decision of design directions.
As current business environment is experiencing radical changes, interest in brands has increased theoretically and practically. The growing interest in brands creates the need for brand equity measurement and management models that help companies manage and fortify brands continuously. Given the situation, this study analyzes effects of brand equity on purchasing behavior of consumers. Outcomes of this study can be employed as integrated brand management system in order to satisfy corporate needs for systematic brand management. This model has been developed in an effort to transcend varied limitations of other previous studies and existing models. Consequently, the practical value of this model is highly expected. Beyond the mere concept of brand for establishing differentiated position against competitors, contents of the study cover extended forms of brand equity and brand performance. This model has been tested through practical applications of fifteen brands from three product categories. Despite several disparities among the categories, the study has revealed that the overall market performance of the brands is correlated with the brand power and other factors in the model. As the importance of brands is growing, brand management is an essential step for power branding. And brand management requires extensive brand diagnosis. The practical results of this study indicate that companies should put an emphasis on brand-oriented management as core strategy of their business.

Although market orientation as the implementation of the marketing concept has long been a major subject in marketing, firms with market orientation do not necessarily come with high performance, showing mixed results in literature. There have been attempts to link market orientation-firm performance until recently with different mediators, but the appreciation on market orientation has been faded in practice. This study focuses on two possibilities for the causes of these problems. 1) Previous studies have overlooked the qualitative aspects of market orientation, 2) have focused on the performance at corporate level. To provide a generalized performance-generation framework, this study demonstrates the market information quality as a moderating variable and introduces the task performance of employees as a universal mediator between market orientation and the firm performance. As the result of this study, we confirmed the positive role of the market information quality and employees' task performance in market orientation-Firm Performance. The relationship between market orientation and employee's task performance becomes stronger when market information quality is high in value. We highlighted the performance generating mechanism of market orientation, regardless of context. This research provides new insights for marketing scholars and managers with regard to both activities and quality of market information and how market orientation affects individual and firm level performance.
In 1990, the City of Bucheon, Geonggi Province, became the first local government to create its own C.I Soon afterwards, this idea of having one's own C.I spread to the rest of the localities in Korea. Now, in 2003, 218 local governments have created their on Corporate Identities. It was an effort on the part or each local government to give a sense of belonging to the local community by creating a C.I which embodies, symbolizes and represents what is most unique about the locality and its community. It is something that each member of that community can identify himself or herself with. It is also something with which people from other localities can readily recognize that local community as this or that, thus increasing the brand-name-value of the locality. A friendly and easily recognizable C.I has an indirect effect of making the local government more accessible to the ordinary people, at least psychologically, overcoming the traditional image of overbearing officialdom of the bureaucracy. In this article, we propose to investigate whether the 218 local government C.Is, which have been created since 1990, have actually effected the above kinds of possible changes in the local governance or not. To that end, we will examine all 218 local government C.Is if they are successfully symbolizations of the local characters and identities. We will also try to point out sly problems, if there are any, and propose some alternative approaches to the designing of Local Government C.Is, by analyzing the mutual similarities in the very shapes and colors among all the 218 local government C.Is. It is our hope that this analyses will be of some use in the future formulations of the local policies for a more responsive local governance.
Since Modigliani and Miller developed their theory of capital structure in 1958, it has become one of the most debated issues in corporate management. This is because the capital structure decision necessarily affects financial risk and the firm's value. Throughout the research, one of the most concerning problems is determining what factors influence the firm's capital structure. Since Korean shipping firms have been suffering from a long term economic recession, an optimal capital structure has become increasingly critical to survive in the shipping industry. This paper studies panel data on 46 Korean shipping companies since 2000 to find the factors that affect capital structure. The results suggest that a negative relationship arises between firm size, tangible assets, profitability and non-debt tax shields against leverage. Otherwise, it proved that growth opportunity has a positive relationship with the firm's leverage. In the research model during a booming shipping economy, growth opportunity and non-debt tax shield are not associated with firm's capital structure.
