Recently, as the supply of smart phone is spreading and the exhibition industries are rapidly growing, future exhibitions are evolving toward active, customized, interactive, tangible services, which can give more satisfaction to visitors. To realize this services, the indoor localization in the exhibition of visitors is very important and according to the accuracy of localization the quality of services for exhibition are also different. In this paper, state-of-the art indoor localization techniques are investigated and new localization method are proposed. To achieve this goal, future exhibition service types are proposed, which are connected with IT technology. And also, BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy) technology including comparison of specifications and representative localization technologies are analysed. Furthermore we performed comparison study and simulation between RF and VLC channels. Finally based on this, we proposed converged VLC and RF(Wi-Fi and BLE) localization technique for exhibition.

The competition among companies in converged market of broadcasting and telecommunications has become severe. Companies in this market have vertically integrated critical resources by acquiring or strategically allying with relevant companies. However, the expansion of business territory accompanies financial, organizational, and technological risks. As such, it is important to identify critical success factors that highly affect the company's competency. This study is aimed at delivering strategic implications for firms playing in the converged market of broadcasting and telecommunications by drawing the priorities of competitive resources to acquire. To do this, we selected four teen specific core resources on CPNT (content- platform - network - terminal) value chain. Then, we conducted an Analytic Hierarchical Process (AHP) using data from experts in this industry. As a result, the priority for acquisition of competitive resources is presented as follows: broadcasting programs, implementation of TV application store, multi-platform, investment on wireless network, and diffusion of mobile devices. In addition, the result shows that the platform-centric vertical integration is the most promising strategy for competition.

This study attempted to identify multi-dimensional influencing factors of working condition, job stress and supervision affecting care service personnel's job satisfaction by using structural equation model. From the results of this study, first, working condition (B=.247), job stress (B=-.610) and supervision (B=.635) were analyzed to have statistically significant effects upon job satisfaction as a dependent variable. Approximately 34.9% of job satisfaction was found to be explained through variables put into research models. Second, supervision affecting job satisfaction was found to have mediation effects on job stress. It will be necessary to apply the method to effective manpower management plan through supervision in the manager education course to improve job satisfaction for social service delivery manpower as well as care service in the future.

Recently, there has been much interest in the e-Navigation that applies a variety of digital devices to shipboard thanks to the high interest to maritime safety and the rapid development of ICT technologies. The e-Navigation proposes a new ICT paradigm in maritime information service and maritime safety. This study proposes the shore-based maritime information service platform that enables the converged services of various kinds of maritime data and the standard ENC based on IHO S-100. The proposed maritime information service platform enables the harmonized integration, presentation and web services of ENC, sensed data such as AIS, ocean weather and currents, and geospatial data. Also, the platform enables the mobile maritime information service through WebApp or App software operating in mobile devices of smart phone or web pad. Finally, the proposed platform accommodates the standard ENC of the existing S-57 and the new S-101, and the standard web services of WMS and WMTS of ISO 19100 and OGC.

IPTV(Internet Protocol Television) is an innovation technology to lead the new media age. Internet protocol television (IPTV) is a next generation television converged with the Internet which are delivered portal services such as information search, games, movies, home shopping and banking. Generally, service quality affects to adopt or use these technologies. Quality of experience (QoE) is more issue to be considered than service quality because of the technological restriction and limitation that IPTV is accessed by the Internet. The QoE is defined as the cognitive and experienced quality measured with users through an experiment and is conceptually related to service quality. The objective of this paper is to suggest a methodology to measure the QoE of IPTV using a user testing. We find significant factors affecting QoE of IPTV through an exploratory study and measure QoE scores. We found the nine factors of graphics, picture, accuracy, access method, quality of contents, usability, security, and performance important for QoE. The QoE scores of picture, graphics, and quality of contents gained over the average score, but the overall score for IPTV service providers was not high and the QoE needs to be improved.

We are living in the era of globalization, convergence of multi technologies and dual service system especially in the cultural, social, political, economical and technical aspects. These waves are making us go beyond Information Society and urge to enter the Smart Society. In the past, we have focused only on creating, proceeding and accumulating vast amount of information. Where as today, we are hoping to be provided with more intellectual, cheep, and converged form with the help of stored information without any space and time constraints. In this thesis, with consideration of the knowledge based society service integration paradigm, we will first look at the concept of Smart Service with various case studies, proposition strategy implementation on Smart Platform by analysing the service the implementing aspect, looking at the roles of each related divisions, and measuring the secure elements etc.

As the high-speed internet access market steadily nears its maturity phase, growth is quickly tapering off and competition, intensifying. As a result telecommunications companies are at present faced with the urgent need to evolve away from a growth model based on continuous acquisition of new subscribers. The recent convergence of telecommunication and broadcasting has come about precisely at this transitional period in the telecommunications market, and is perceived by the industry both as a new business opportunity and as a threat. TV-based VOD(Video on Demand), for one, is able to attract new customers desiring multimedia services of superior quality and to lock-in existing customers. Meanwhile, the latest evolution in network development is brightening the market prospect for TV-based VOD. The service has now hit the market, deployed over VDSL networks - a next-generation high-speed internet - and advanced cable modem networks, delivering high-definition DVD-quality videos. TV-based VOD is a service whose deployment is closely linked to the evolution of subscriber networks. According to the forecast produced by the present study, based on the forecast on the post-ADSL market and a survey conducted on VOD, as post-ADSL subscribers increase from 1.53 million in 2003 to 4.44 million in 2004, and 9.87 million in 2006, the percentage of post-ADSL subscribers with intention to also subscribe to a VOD service is expected to rise from 16% to 34% in 2006. Accordingly, VOD subscribers are estimated to increase from 0.24 million in 2003 to 0.98 million in 2004 and to 3.35 million in 2006.

There is a growing interest in convergence. National R & D is also providing various policies and institutional support to promote convergence research. Convergence research, however, does not clearly specify its characteristics at the academic and government levels. This research proceeds with the process of collecting, refining, analyzing, modeling, verifying and visualizing national R & D data through the National Science and Technology Information Service (NTIS). The method is to derive the convergence research characteristics and to derive through text mining, focusing on the unstructured information of national R & D project data. The study confirmed that there was a difference in perception between the definition of converged research and the research site. In order to improve this, the research suggested that convergence among research subjects, collaboration among research topics reflecting various backgrounds and characteristics of researchers, and analysis of characteristics of convergence research using information were suggested in the process of establishing convergence policy.

As the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution evolves, not only private companies but also government agencies and institutions in public sector are adopting cloud computing services converged by new information technologies such as IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence to strengthen competitiveness and create new business values. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between innovation characteristics, innovation resistance, and acceptance of innovative technologies from the perspective of cloud computing services in the public sector. In this study, we collected the survey data from 190 employees of IT division in the public sector, and analyzed the causal relationship between innovation characteristics, technostress, innovation resistance, and intention to adopt the cloud computing service that they perceived. As a result of the analysis, we demonstrated that innovation characteristics, technostress have significant effect on innovation resistance and acceptance intention, and that top executive commitment and innovation resistance also have significant effect on acceptance intention. This study provides meaningful practical implications for the staffs preparing for adoption of cloud computing services and the executives who make the final decision in public sector.

This study proposes a smart city service revitalization policy based on communication facility infrastructure in 5G CPS - the core of the 4th industrial revolution, R&D, and related legislations. The 5G CPS is a converged form of ICT technologies, communications facilities, and physical systems. In this study, we propose methods of creating new services for the smart city domain based on communication facilities and the cloud platform in 5G CPS - first, by improving the communication methods classification system based on the facility scale; second, by establishing the national telecommunication facility infrastructure and making long-term investment; third, by reorganizing the Smart City Act aimed at activating new services; and lastly, by expanding the national data analytics R&D and policy support.
