탄소혼합물 접지전극의 접지임피던스의 특성 (Characteristics of Grounding Impedances of Carbon Compound Grounding Electrodes)

  • This paper presents characteristics of frequency-dependent grounding impedance and transient grounding impedance for the carbon compound grounding electrode used in the installation of computerized electronic equipment and lightning protection system. The frequency-dependent grounding impedances were measured by applying sinusoidal currents in the frequency range from 100 [Hz] to 10[MHz], and the transient grounding impedances were examined by subjecting the impulse current with the front-time between 1~80[${\mu}s$]. As a result, the ground resistance of the carbon compound grounding electrode is less than that of another type grounding electrodes. The transient grounding impedance is relatively low and the conventional grounding impedance is rather lower than the ground resistance. The frequency-dependent grounding impedance of the carbon compound grounding electrode is capacitive and the grounding impedance is decreased with increasing the frequency of injected currents. Therefore in the case that the carbon compound grounding electrode is jointly used with large-scaled grounding electrodes, it is possible to reduce the high frequency grounding impedance of the integrated grounding electrode system.

  • When the lightning currents flow through the ground electrode, the grounding system should be evaluated by the grounding impedance rather than the ground resistance because a grounding system shows the transient impedance characteristic by the inductance of the ground electrode and the capacitance of the soil. The ratio of the peak values of electric potential and currents is the conventional impedance that shows the transient characteristic about impulse currents of the grounding system in a roundabout way. The grounding system having low conventional impedance is a fine grounding system with low electric potential when the lightning currents flow. In this paper the conventional impedance of the counterpoise is calculated by using the distributed parameter circuit model and embodied the distributed parameter circuit model by using the EMTP program The adequacy of the distributed parameter model is examined by comparing the simulated and the measured results. The conventional impedance of the counterpoise is analyzed for first short stroke and subsequent short stroke currents.

Critical Length Estimation of Counterpoise Subjected to Lightning Stroke Currents

  • The conventional grounding impedance of a counterpoise is calculated as a function of the length of the counterpoise by use of the distributed parameter circuit model with an application of the EMTP(Electromagnetic Transient Program). The adequacy of the distributed parameter circuit model is examined and verified by comparison of the simulated and the measured results. The conventional grounding impedance of the counterpoise is analyzed for the first short stroke and subsequent short stroke currents. As a result, the simulated results show that the minimum conventional grounding impedance gives at a specified length of the counterpoise. The shorter the time taken to reach the peak of injected currents, the shorter the length of the counterpoise having the minimum conventional grounding impedance. We also present the critical lengths of the counterpoise for short stroke currents as a function of soil resistivity. Based on these results, it is necessary to compute the length of the counterpoise in a specified soil resistivity which satisfies both the low conventional grounding impedance requirement whilst also providing a suitable ground resistance in order to obtain an economical design and installation of the counterpoise.

  • Grounding system insures a reference potential point for electric devices and also provides a low impedance path for fault currents or transient currents in the earth. The ground impedance as function of frequency is necessary for determining its performance since fault currents could contain a wide range of frequencies. In this paper, the grounding resistance, grounding impedance and transient grounding impedance are measured by using 3-point fall-of-potential method in order to analyse grounding characteristics of the copper and concrete rod grounding electrodes. An equivalent transfer function model of the ground impedance and transient grounding impedance are identified from the measured values by using ARMA method and evaluated by comparing the conventional grounding impedance.

  • 본 논문은 임펄스전류가 인가된 매설지선의 과도접지임피던스특성에 관한 것으로 길이가 10, 30, 50 [m]인 3개의 매설지선에 대하여 입 펄스전류의 인가점을 파라미터로 하여 과도접지임피던스와 규약접지임피던스를 측정하고 분석하였다. 임펄스전류의 상승시간에 대한 규약접지임피던스는 과도접지임피던스와 비슷한 경향이었다. 과도접지임피던스는 임 펄스전류의 인가위치에 영향을 크게 밭으며, 짧은 시간영역에서 과도접지임피던스는 매설지선의 길이에 매우 의존적이다. 임펄스전류가 인가된 10[m]의 매설지선은 용량성 특성이었으나 30[m]와 50[m]의 매설지선은 유도성 특성을 나타내었다. 접지도선은 매설지선의 중앙점에 접속하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 밝혀졌다.

  • 본 논문은 임펄스전류의 인가위치에 따른 심매설 봉상 접지전극의 과도접지임피던스와 규약접지임피던스 특성에 관하여 기술하였다. 과도접지임피던스는 심매설 접지전극의 길이 및 임펄스전류의 상승시간과 인가위치에 강하게 의존하며, 접지전극의 자체 인덕턴스는 짧은 시간 영역에서 점지시스템의 과도접지임피던스에 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 심매설 봉상 접지전극의 자체 인덕턴스의 저감은 과도접지임피던스 특성의 개선에 결정적인 역할을 한다. 접지도선의 길이는 최대한 짧게 하여 접지전극의 상단에 접속하는 것이 효과적이다.

  • This paper presents the transient and conventional grounding impedance behaviors of large grid grounding system associated with the injection point of impulse current The measurement methods consider two possible errors in the grounding-system impedances: (1) ground mutual resistance due to current flow through ground from the ground electrode to be measured to the current auxiliary, (2) ac mutual coupling between the current test lead and the potential test lead The test circuit was set to reduce the error factors. The transient grounding impedance depends on the rise time and injection point of impulse current It is effective that grounding conductor is connected to the center of the large grid grounding system.

  • 접지시스템은 전기설비의 기준 전위점을 확보할뿐만 아니라 낮은 대지저항으로 고장전류나 과도 전류를 흐르게 한다. 접지임피던스는 주파수에 대한 함수로 고장이나 과도전류가 넓은 범위의 주파수 성분을 포함하기 때문에 접지성능을 평가하는데 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 스테인리스강판 접지전극의 접지특성을 파악하기 위하여 3점 전위강하법으로 접지저항, 접지임피던스와 과도접지임피던스를 측정하였다. 측정된 데이터를 이용하여 접지임피던스와 과도접지임피던스의 등가 전달함수 모델은 ARMA 기법으로 모델링 되었고, 규약접지임피던스로 비교하여 평가하였다.

  • 비록 접지저항은 접지전극의 접지성능을 좌우하는 지수이기는 하지만, 과도상태에서는 접지 성능을 반영하지 못한다. 동봉은 배전계통에서 가장 많이 쓰이는 접지전극이다. 본 논문에서는 동봉의 접지 임피던스를 주파수 60[Hz]에서 100[kHz] 범위까지 측정하여 등가 접지임피던스 모델을 구하였다. 뇌격서지가 유입되었을 때 MATLAB 프로그램으로 과도접지임피던스의 수치와 파형을 시뮬레이션하였다.

  • A ground electrode subjected to lightning surge current shows the transient impedance behaviors. The ground electrode for protection against lightning should be evaluated in view of the transient grounding impedance and conventional grounding impedance, not ground resistance. The transient impedance characteristics of ground electrodes are influenced by the shape of ground electrode and the soil characteristics, as well as the waveform of lightning surge current. In order to propose a simulation method of analyzing the transient impedance characteristics of the grounding system in practical use, this paper suggests a theoretical analysis method of distributed parameter circuit model to simulate the transient impedance characteristics of counterpoise subjected to lightning surge current. EMTP and Matlab programs were employed to compute the transient grounding impedances of three counterpoises with different lengths. As a consequence, the simulated results using the proposed distributed parameter circuit model are in good agreement with the measured results.
