Culture forms an integral aspect of environmental factors which influences disease presentation and clinical outcomes in functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs). In this review, the role of culture in FGIDs in the East is briefly explored with regards to symptom presentation and diagnostic issues, lifestyle and cultural habits, epidemiology, and healthcare seeking behavior. In both functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome, symptom presentation and disease sub-typing in Asians are known to differ from their Western counterparts, possibly relating to cultural dietary practices and from cultural perception of symptoms. Dietary patterns, together with defecating practices are explored as factors contributing to a lower prevalence of constipation in the East. An urban-rural difference in the prevalence of FGIDs in Asia is attributed to a change in dietary patterns in rapidly developing urban communities, together with an increased level of psychological morbidity. Lastly, cultural attitudes towards traditional/local remedies, variation in healthcare systems, anxiety regarding organic disease, and religious practices have been shown to influence healthcare seeking behavior among FGID patients in the East.

This study proposed a novel model to investigate influential factors affecting the intention to continue using increasingly popular food delivery apps (FDAs). The proposed theoretical model is developed and validated to extend traditional technology acceptance and adoption theories by identifying several determinant factors that capture the unique context of FDAs continuous usage. Hypotheses were tested using a partial least square structural equation modeling approach (PLS-SEM) on data collected from 331 actual FDAs users during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results reveal that convenience, perceived compatibility, delivery experience, and online reviews significantly influence the continuous usage of FDAs. The findings also confirm the importance of continuous intention on the actual use of FDAs. The research model of this study explains 65% of variance in continuous intention and 47% in actual use. The insights provided by this study suggest fruitful directions for future research. They can also help FDAs companies, developers and marketers with strategies and tips for further development and growth by ensuring users' continuous usage of these platforms.

An overview of 30 feet sailing yacht design is presented. with an emphasis on the factors contributing to start-up Popularization . After prescribing the configurations of the purposed yacht. the design of the hull form with a rudder and a keel, are schematically described. Also the determinations of the dimensions of the sail and rig are performed.

For the accident prevention, it is necessary to identify common factors and characteristics contributing to the industrial accidents. This study concerned with the accident characteristics by age of injured person in the manufacturing industries. To make the statistical comparisons for the accident characteristics by age group, we derived the distributions of occupational injuries in terms of accident time, accident type, activity at time of accident, injury type, injured part of body, agency of accident, and workday losses. The results show that the characteristics of the occupational injuries by age group are not significantly different in a31 characteristics investigated in this study.

This study investigated human error characteristics of the 42 fatal industrial accidents reported by staff members of Korea Industrial Safety Corporation. Various types of human error were judged to be primary contributing factors in about 74 percent of the cases. Most of human error made by involved industrial operators resulted from two types of mistakes: (1) mistake in judgement of work situation, and (2) omission in daily check. It was concluded that preparation/observance for work procedure manuals, danger predication training and enforcement/Education of daily check routine would be effective preventive tools for these types of human error attributable to fatal industrial accidents.

Recently, twinning rate increases in Korea since the early 1990s by delayed marriage and prevailing of assisted reproductive technology. But twin and higher-order multiples are at increased risk for perinatal and neonatal mortality over 5 fold despite of dramatic improvement of perinatal and neonatal care. Because twins are born more prematurely and have lower birth weights than singleton. In addition, twins are at increased risk for cerebral palsy mainly in monochorionic twins due to co-twin fetal death, twin to twin transfusion and congenital anomaly. So, this article reviews the factors contributing to the mortality and morbidity of the twins and the efforts to decrease the neonatal mortality of twins.

Molecular characteristics and improving methods for thermal stability of enzyme have been considered. Intrinsic and extrinsic stabilizing mechanisms are two governing principles for enhanced thermal stability of enzyme in molecular basis. Factors contributing to the former and the latter mechanisms may be involved in the enhanced thermal stability of enzyme complementarily. Also, the methods for improving thermal stability of enzyme which comprise reaction in organic solvent system, chemical modification, immobilization, sequential unfolding and refolding, gene manipulation techniques and enzyme-antibody complexing are reviewed.

In this paper, based on the survey or 60 telecommuiucations service cases in Korea, determinants or telecommunications service performance are identified and managerial implications are derived Understanding factors contributing to the performance would provide meaningful insights into how to improve the new telecommunications service development.

The achievement of high density at reasonable cost is one of the major challenges of the P/M industry. One of the key factors contributing to the compressibility of a mix is the lubricant. New experimental lubricants enabling higher green density by conventional compaction or temperature-controlled die compaction were identified. The compaction and ejection characteristics of these new lubricants as measured with a fully instrumented lab press are presented and compared to that of conventional lubricants.
