설계기반 연구를 통한 의학교육 Continuous Quality Improvement 운영 경험 (Implementing Medical Education Continuous Quality Improvement Using Design-Based Research)

  • The goal of this study is to present efficient measures to improve the quality of medical education through using a developed and applied continuous quality improvement (CQI) model suitable for medical education. To achieve this purpose, we developed a theoretical CQI model through a review of the literature according to the design-based research method. Through repetitive productive cyclical processes and professional reviews, we finally deduced an appropriate CQI model for medical education. The most important results of this study are as follows: First, the CQI model for medical education is defined as a quality management system with a cyclical course of planning, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of medical education. Second, the CQI model for medical education is composed of quality management activities of educational design, work, and evaluation. In addition, each activity has the implementation strategies of planning, doing, checking, and improving based on the PDCA model (Plan-Do-Check-Act model). Third, the CQI model for medical school education is composed of committees related to medical education doing improvement activities, as well as planning, implementing and evaluating it with CQI. As a result, we can improve teaching by using the CQI model for medical education. It is more meaningful because this gives us organized and practical measures of quality management and improvement in medical education as well as in the educational process.

MBNQA상에 내포된 지속적 개선, 혁신과 학습 개념 (The Continuous Improvement, Innovation and Learning Concept Embedded in MBNQA Award)

  • The learning, which is a view extended from and replaces the concept of continuous improvement, has become the very core concept in Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The most potent one among 11 core values in MBNQA Model is 'organizational and personal learning'. Learning also plays a critical role to get the good scores for 6 categories except results category among 7 categories of MBNQA Model. But the concept of learning often has been overlooked by the people who are interested in the MB award or TQM. This paper reviews and analyzes the concept of learning in the MB criteria since it first appears in 1993 to enlighten the importance of learning.

  • 6시그마는 지난 20여 년간 제조 및 서비스 등의 산업에서 프로세스 개선을 위하여 꾸준히 적용되어왔다. 그럼에도 불구하고 6시그마는 Define 단계에서 의미있는 프로젝트를 계속 발굴하기 힘들고 Control 단계에서 지속적인 측정 및 통제가 쉽지 않다는 문제가 지적되었다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 개선 프로세스의 지속적인 통제와 관리를 원활히 할 수 있는 체계가 요구되며, 비즈니스 프로세스 관리(BPM) 시스템이 효과적 대안이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 프로세스 운영 및 분석에서 누적된 데이터를 중심으로 지속적 프로세스 개선을 실현하기 위한 목적으로 6시그마와 BPM의 통합 모형을 제시하고, 프로젝트 수행을 위하여 상호 데이터기반으로 프로세스를 분석, 개선, 모니터링하는 과정을 설명한다. 이를 통하여 6시그마와 BPM의 장점을 결합하여, 지속적으로 업무를 개선하고 관리함으로써 전사적인 경영성과를 극대화할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

The Effect of Perceived Benefits and Obstacles on the Continuous Internet Adoption Intention in Fashion Companies

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how the perceived benefits and obstacles of fashion companies, which utilizes the internet as a marketing or commercial transaction tool, have effect on the continuous internet adoption intention, and to analyze the differences between the companies that have introduced the internet commercial transaction and those that have not. A survey was conducted from January $15^{th}$ to February $20^{th}$ in 2009, among the employees of fashion companies carrying out internet business. A total of 314 respondents used in the data analysis, the statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test and multiple regression analysis. The results show that the elevation of the business results, improvement in customer relationship and raise in market reactivity of the perceived benefits has effect on the continuous internet adoption intention of fashion companies. There are differences in the elevation of the business results, improvement in consumer relationship, miscellaneous expenses and the continuous internet adoption intention between companies that introduced a internet commercial transaction system and those that have not.

  • 본 논문에서는, 지속적 학습 환경에서 효율적 경로 선택에 의한 LwF방법의 성능향상을 제안한다. 이를 위해 콘볼루션 레이어를 분리하는 방법을 사용하여 기존의 LwF와 성능 및 구조를 비교한다. 비교를 위해 복잡도가 다른 구성을 가진 MNIST, EMNIST, Fashion MNIST, CIFAR10 데이터를 사용하여 성능을 실험하였다. 실험결과, 각 태스크 별 정확도가 최대 20% 향상되었으며, LwF 기반의 지속적 학습 환경에서 치명적 망각 현상이 개선되었다.

Proposal for an Evaluation Method for the Performance of Work Procedures

  • Background: Noncompliance of operators with work procedures is a recurrent problem. This human behavior has been said to be situational and studied by many different approaches (ergonomic and others), which consider the noncompliance with work procedures to be obvious and seek to analyze its causes as well as consequences. Methods: The object of the proposed method is to solve this problem by focusing on the performance of work procedures and ensuring improved performance on a continuous basis. Results: This study has multiple results: (1) assessment of the work procedures' performance by a multicriteria approach; (2) the use of a continuous improvement approach as a framework for the sustainability of the assessment method of work procedures' performance; and (3) adaptation of the Stop-Card as a facilitator support for continuous improvement of work procedures. Conclusion: The proposed method emphasizes to put in value the inputs of continuous improvement of the work procedures in relation with the conventional approaches which adopt the obvious evidence of the noncompliance to the working procedures and seek to analyze the cause-effect relationships related to this unacceptable phenomenon, especially in strategic industry.

방산 중소기업의 지속적 개선활동이 공급망 품질경영활동과 기업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Impact of Continuous Improvement Activities of Defense SMEs on the SCQM and Business Performance)

  • Purpose: This study analyzes the characteristics of the Quality Management performed by SMEs in the Defense Industry in supply chains and analyzes the effect of the continuous improvement activities based on cooperation. Especially, for Military Supplies, the suitability of products is usually decided by judging their conformity to the specification, and from this structural characteristic, this study would analyze the structural relationship of systematic improvement activities with Supply Chain Quality Management(SCQM) and Business Performance(BP). Methods: Continuous improvement activities(CI) have significance as the driver force for the promotion of Quality Management. Thus, this study analyzed the causal relationships from the perspective of the process among CI, SCQM and BP. For an analysis of the structural characteristics and causal relationships among the constituents, AMOS was used, and 297 companies in the Defense Industry were utilized as samples. Results: It turned out that CI had significant impacts on Management Infra(MGT_Infra), Process Management(PM), Human Resources Management(HRM) and Communication(COMU) and had an indirect impact on the enterprises' financial performance through the parameters of HRM and Communication. Meanwhile, it turned out that between CI and non-financial performance, there was a direct effect, and there was also an indirect effect through the variables of the Management Infra and Communication. Conclusion: It turned out that CI had a positive effect on SCQM as a proactive driver and that they had significant relationships with BP(financial, Non-financial), both financial performance and non-financial performance. However, PM did not have a significant relationship of effect with BP because of the character appearing by the evaluation method of military supplies for the conformity to the specifications.

  • Intelligent investment in setup cost reduction and process reliability improvement is crucial to an emerging integrated lean six sigma practice today. This study examines a cost-minimizing problem of jointly determining production lot size, setup cost reduction, and process reliability improvement decisions for a manufacturer with an imperfect production process. We develop models for previously untapped discrete shipping in a supply chain context as well as continuous shipping and solve them optimally using differential calculus and nonlinear programming. We also conduct analytic and numerical sensitivity analyses to provide various important managerial insights into practices.

B2B 소프트웨어 유통 중소기업을 위한 고객과의 지속거래 유지 전략: 사례 연구 (Strategies for Continuous Transactions with Customers for B2B Software Retailers: Case Study)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study was to propose a specific and empirical continuous transaction strategy through service quality of improvement to small and medium Korean companies whose main business is B2B distribution and sale of general-purpose SW. Research design, data, and methodology - The research procedure is largely divided into two phases. In the first phase, the service quality, the customer satisfaction, and the continuous transaction research hypothesis and the verification are carried out. Experimental data were collected from 450 companies, CEO companies of SMEs innovation institutes, and 510 companies from medium and large enterprises. From September 15 to October 5, 2015, 215 questionnaires were used. And research hypothesis and test were conducted by SPSS SW Ver. 20. Results - The results of the study confirm that service quality has a positive effect on customer satisfaction and continuous transaction: as the detailed items for improving the service quality, 'responsiveness', 'assurance' and 'empathy' have been adopted. Therefore, there are critical factors of a company's survival through continuous transaction. Conclusions - Through this study, we confirmed that the survival of small businesses require continuous improvement in service quality. Among the factors improving service quality, empathy means service satisfaction of customers; so, it is necessary to continuously improve it by evaluating customer satisfaction. Responsiveness means rapid response to customer needs and reliability; it is necessary to enhance customer responsiveness by continuous job training and service training. Finally, assurance is the same as sales product or after service. This means that it is necessary to not only issue the "supply contract," but also improve the reliability of the sales product by securing the competence of the consulting professional. However, because the service quality measurement factors selected in this study are the measurement factors that are mainly applied to large companies or those in the service industries, it is important to consider the type of sales of software distribution companies.
