To achieve these aims we carried out a survey amongst 1,600 citizens and visitors. The Daejeon representative foods were determined to be Gujeuk Dotorimuk (Gu-jeuk acorn jelly), Hanbat Seolleongtang, Dolsotbap (stone pot mixed rice), Sutgol naengmyeon (Sutgol Cold Noodles), Daecheongho Minmulmaeuntang (Daecheong lake freshwater spicy fish soup) and Samgyetang (casserole of spatchcock with ginseng). These six dishes were designated as representative foods in 2001. Findings from the survey indicated the lowest level of brand! dish awareness was 11.6% generally and the top two preferences for the representative foods were ranked as, Samgyetang (24.8%) and Dolsotbap (23.6%). According to an awareness survey age differences played a significant role. Adults displayed a much higher awareness than younger generations. The survey also found that Daejeon city was strongly associated with images of science and technology, particularly areas such as Expo and the Daedeok Valley. This study's results suggests that developing a menu and marketing strategy based upon associated regional images may increase awareness for local foods among young consumers.

  • This study was focused on analyzing the impacts of e-commerce on the farmer's management behavior and suggesting alternatives for the development of e-commerce in agricultural industry. For this study, survey was conducted for 24 farmers who sell agricultural products through e-commerce in Chungnam province. The results of study are as follows; First, farmers have changed their management practices in terms of production, marketing and processing by using the information of consumers' preferences while doing e-commerce business. Second, farmers have attempted to differentiate their product through product brand and customer relationship marketing, because they recognized the importance of developing marketing techniques adapted to e-commerce system for more revenues. Third, if quality certification system of agricultural products is introduced under e-commerce, farmers would use it for their environmentally sounded farming because they expect to increase their income. Fourth, 75% of the farmers sold their product at retail price. It means that e-commerce farmers act as a price maker rather than price taker at e-commerce market, who will be encouraged to have larger business size resulting in more added value. Based on the results of study, we suggest that there should be reduction of service charge for credit card, and encouragement of B2B transaction for the economy of scale and introduction of quality certification system so as to establish e-commerce system of agricultural industry as soon as possible.

  • Coffee, which has spread from Ethiopia to Arabia, Europe and then to Korea, has become the most beloved beverage among today's Korean people. After liberation, instant coffee was first introduced to Korea through the U.S. military, and coffee became popular in earnest. In the 1970s, Dongsuh Foods led localization of coffee by mass-producing instant and regular coffee, and in the 1990s, coffee shops replaced teahouses. After the 1997 financial crisis, office workers made coffee on their own as companies downsized on secretarial staff, leading to a further growth in instant coffee mix market. In 1999, the first foreign brand Starbucks was introduced to Korea and the culture of takeout espresso coffee took off. As consumers' preferences of coffee constantly evolve, the demand for high-quality specialty coffee has emerged, individual roasters have grown in order to meet the demand, and a viral marketing through SNS has been used as a growth engine. In 2020, the spread of coronavirus(COVID-19) is affecting the global coffee market. As many offices, coffee shops, and restaurants practice social distancing, out-of-home sales such as coffee shops have decreased, whereas sales for a takeout coffee and home-café products have increased.

  • Tourism and hospitality have encountered significant changes in recent years as a result of the rapid development of information technology (IT). Customers now expect more expedient services and customized travel experiences, which has intensified competition among service providers. To meet these demands, businesses have adopted sophisticated IT applications such as ChatGPT, which enables real-time interaction with consumers and provides recommendations based on their preferences. This paper focuses on the AI support-prompt middleware system, which functions as a mediator between generative AI and human users, and discusses two operational rules associated with it. The first rule is the Information Processing Rule, which requires the middleware system to determine appropriate responses based on the context of the conversation using techniques for natural language processing. The second rule is the Information Presentation Rule, which requires the middleware system to choose an appropriate language style and conversational attitude based on the gravity of the topic or the conversational context. These rules are essential for guaranteeing that the middleware system can fathom user intent and respond appropriately in various conversational contexts. This study contributes to the planning and analysis of service design by deriving design rules for middleware systems to incorporate artificial intelligence into tourism services. By comprehending the operation of AI support-prompt middleware systems, service providers can design more effective and efficient AI-driven tourism services, thereby improving the customer experience and obtaining a market advantage.
