기존 오피스건물 에너지성능지표에 따른 설계기법 연구 (A Study on the Design Technique for Energy Performance Indicators of Existing Office Buildings)

  • 세계 각국에서는 환경오염이나 에너지절감을 위한 방안으로 건축물에 대한 가이드라인과 제도적 지원이 활성화되고 있다. 우리나라에서도 2013.09.01. 개정된 "건축물의 에너지절약 설계기준"에 따라 기준들이 마련되고 신축 건축물에 대한 제로에너지빌딩화가 권장사항에서 의무화과정으로 가고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 소형건물에 대한 정부의 구속력은 미비한 실정이다. 이에 최근에 시공한 오피스건물(외단열기법 적용)에 대해 에너지 절감효과를 분석하였고 추가적으로 에너지 절감을 위한 이중외피기법을 제안하였다.

경주석빙고 구성석재에 형성된 표면오염물의 특징과 그 제거방안 (Characteristics of surface pollutants on stone materials and its cleaning measures in Gyeongju Soekbinggo)

  • 경주석빙고 내부암석의 표면에는 갈색오염층이 생물체와 함께 두텁게 형성되어 있다. 이 부분에서 소량의 시료를 채취하여 화학성분, 광물성분, 염성분 및 미세조직분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 오염층은 연질로서 제거가 용이한 것으로 파악되었다. 그러나 암석의 표면도 오랜 시간이 오염물질과 수분으로 인해 풍화가 많이 진행된 상태이므로 제거시 암석층도 함께 제거될 수 있다. 이 표면오염물질은 상부 봉분의 토양이 수분과 함께 석빙고 내부로 흘러내려 암석표면에 흡착된 것과 경주석빙고 입구에 깔려진 조립사질토양에서 부유되는 먼지의 흡착으로 생성된 것으로 추정된다. 경주석빙고를 보존하기 위해서는 표면오염물의 제거에 앞서 형성의 원인인 상부에서 흘러내리는 수분의 방수와 주변에 조성된 조립사질토양을 부유되지 않는 다른 것으로 대체하는 작업이 우선시된다. 이후에 표면오염물을 제거하고, 내부를 습하지 않게 유지해주어야 한다.

작부체계를 고려한 새만금유역의 토양유실량 추정 (Estimating Soil Losses from Saemangeum Watershed based on Cropping Systems)

  • A Geographic Information System (GIS) was developed to estimate basin-wide soil losses using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE). It was applied to estimate the annual average soil losses from the Saemangeum watershed. The USLE factors for each subarea of uniform land use and treatments were estimated from the GIS routines from digital topographic maps, land cover and detailed soil maps. A routine was developed to estimate the averaged cropping management factors (C) of USLE for multi-cropping farmlands, based on cropping system records from the district offices. The resulting C factors ranged from 0.28 to 0.35 for multi-cropping areas. The estimated annual average soil loss was approximately 2.9 million tonnes. Typical soil losses from different land uses were 0.8 t/ha at paddies, 33.7 t/ha at uplands and 1.1 t/ha from forested mountains. It was also found that 6.0% of the arable land of the watershed possessed high risks of soil losses, and conservation measures were needed to reduce soil losses.

광양제철소와 인근주변의 관속식물 현황과 분포 (Vascular Plants of Status and Distribution of the Site around and Kwangyang Manufacture)

  • The vascular plants of this site was listed 360 taxa; 86 families, 229 genera, 311 species, 42 varieties and 7 forms. Specific plant species by floral region were total 40 taxa; 2 taxa(Crypsinus hastatus, Prunus yedoensis) in class V, Patrinia rupestris in class IV, 6 taxa(Elymus mollis, Carex laticeps, Poncirus trifoliata, Melia azedarach var. japonica, Koelreuteria paniculata, Crepiastrum lanceolatum) in class III, Cirsium schantarense in class II, 30 taxa(Lygodium japonicum, Pteris multifida, Phacelurus latifolius, Asparagus cochinchinensis, Ficus erecta, Machilus thunbergii, Zanthoxylum planispinum, Euphorbia esula, Mallotus japonicus, Cayratia japonica, Camellia japonica, Glehnia littoralis, Lysimachia fortunei, Messerschmidia sibirica, Ixeris repens etc.) in class I. The naturalized plants in this site were 14 families, 34 genera, 41 species, 1 varieties, 42 taxa and naturalization rate was 20.3% of all 207 taxa vascular plants. Based on the list of the rare plants by the Forest Research Institute, 2 taxa were recorded in the studied areas; Phacelurus latifolius, Crypsinus hastatus and based on the list of Korean endemic plants, 7 taxa were recorded; Populus tomentiglandulosa, Filipendula glaberrima, Prunus yedoensis, Forsythia koreana, Paulownia coreana, Weigela subsessilis, Carpinus coreana. So, wild plants disturbing ecosystem like Solanum carolinense and Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior have been increasing, it needs continuing control and conservation measures on the plant ecosystem.

Monitoring of Moisture Content and Sediment Fineness as Predictors of Shoal Breaching in an Estuary

  • Namdae-cheon in Gangwon-do Province, Korea, is a valuable well-preserved lagoon. The estuary of Namdae-cheon Stream is closed because of the surrounding natural sand shoal. Thus, during the dry season, river water cannot easily flow to the ocean and therefore stagnates. River water congestion causes environmental deterioration of estuaries, often by eutrophication. In this study, we examined wall disintegration in the estuary area and used it to determine appropriate measures for the conservation of estuary water quality in the future. A total of 24 sites were selected, with 13 sites on the west side and 11 sites on the east side of the estuary study area. Samples were collected and analyzed for particle size and moisture content both vertically and horizontally. Sedimentary deposition rate was measured, and subsidence analysis was performed. Particle size, water content, sedimentary deposition, and subsidence analyses indicated that flow shifted to the west during the study period. In conjunction with other variables that may affect changes in flow, these parameters can be used in future research to predict shoal breaches and associated changes in water flow direction.

Identification of isotropic and orthotropic constitutive parameters by FEA-free energy-based inverse characterization method

  • In this paper, identification of isotropic and orthotropic linear elastic material constitutive parameters has been demonstrated by a FEA-free energy-based inverse analysis method. An important feature of the proposed method is that it requires no finite element (FE) simulation of the tested material. Full-field displacements calculated using digital image correlation (DIC) are used to compute DIC stress fields enforcing the equilibrium condition and DIC strain fields using interpolation functions. Boundary tractions and displacements are implicitly recast into an objective function that measures the energy residual of external work and internal elastic strain energy. The energy conservation principle states that the residual should be zero, and so minimizing this objective function inversely identifies the constitutive parameters. Synthetic data from simulated testing of isotropic materials and orthotropic composite materials under 2D plane stress conditions are used for verification of the proposed method. When identifying the constitutive parameters, it is beneficial to apply loadings in multiple directions, and in ways that create non-uniform stress distributions. The sensitivity of the parameter identification method to noise in both the measured full-field DIC displacements and loadings has been investigated.

청주시 상당산성의 보전 및 활용방안 (Conservation and Utilization of Sang-dang Mountain Fortress, Cheong-Ju City)

  • This study is to propose development direction of sang-dang mountain fortress toward the utilization of historical and cultural heritage as tourist attraction through the consideration of problems on sang-dang mountain fortress development. First of all, the historical significance, development project and status of Sang-dang mountain fortress was figured out. Furthermore, using pattern and general user's view was understood through the questionnaire survey then research on the actual condition of traditional korean village was performed. The ongoing development project focusing on restoration of cultural properties to its original state through an archaeological excavation investigation turned out to be lack of consideration on the utilization of sang-dang mountain fortress such as tourists inducement. Furthermore, the measures on traditional korean village which has been a problem by forming commercial area recklessly have been left off. Therefore, additional development plan is required on convenient and amenity facilities and rest places for visitors including environment improvement of traditional korean village based on the development for the restoration of cultural properties to its original state.

시스템즈 엔지니어링 기법을 이용한 원자력발전소 부지 선정 방법에 대한 연구 (NPP Site Selection : A Systems Engineering Approach)

  • Nuclear power plant site selection is a complex process and its successful completion is a critical milestone in the NPP development cycle. Proper siting of NPP will ensure public health and safety, environmental conservation, reduced project failure risks and a smooth NPP development process among other benefits. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate the application of systems engineering to the problem of NPP siting in Kenya. The siting process demonstrated in this paper includes stakeholder need analysis where stakeholders are identified and their needs concerning NPP site are elicited and converted into system functional requirements. A value model is then developed and potential sites iteratively subjected to three types of criteria i.e. exclusionary criteria, avoidance criteria and suitability criteria. This process is used to identify the candidate sites. An additive value model; multiple objectives Decision Analysis (MODA) is then used to calculate candidate solutions values. The site with the highest solution value score is selected. Sensitivity studies using different criterion weight sets (thereby reflecting different viewpoints) can be conducted to assess their effect on the selection of a preferred site and thereby lend additional credibility to the decision process.

차량용 공조시스템의 현황 및 고속버스의 실내 공기 환경 측정 (The Assessing the HVAC system and Measurements of Indoor Air Quality of Highway Bus)

  • The current focus of domestic car industry is moving from technological development to reducing greenhouse gas. This study investigates and measures the HVAC system and indoor air condition of highway buses, which is conducted to develop a HVAC system using natural energy in the future. The measurements show that thermal balance is not fulfilled because heating sources are randomly placed, and relative humidity is in the 20 percent range both in HVAC and non-HVAC systems, which is far below 40%, or the highest thermal comfort level. CO2 concentration was found to be an average of 1500 ppm, but not more than 2522 ppm with 15 persons on board, and with 29 persons on board, an average of 2053 ppm, but not more than 3066 ppm, both of which far exceed allowed CO2 concentration level, or 1000 ppm. Generally, highway buses drop by rest stops and open doors for 15 to 20 minutes for getting in fresh air. But its air improvement effect is temporary, and it exacerbates indoor air condition.

국내 공공하수도 시설의 에너지 사용 및 자원화실태 조사연구 (A Study on Current Energy Consumption and Recycling at Public Wastewater Treatment Plants in Korea)

  • To establish effective and prompt measures for energy conservation in public wastewater treatment plants in Korea, energy consumption rates in 233 utilities in 9 provinces and 7 metropolitan cities are investigated and compared to the rest of the world. Mean load factor for wastewater treatment utilities is 74.9% and those for influent pumps and aeration blowers are 56.2% and 61.0%, respectively. Mean electrical energy usages as the key performance indicators are $0.243kWh/m^3$ for overall sewage treatments and 2.07 kWh per unit kg BOD removal. Digester gas as one of major byproducts in the process amounts to $382,000m^3/day$ nationwide. While major part of the digester gas is used for sludge heating, only 7.3% of the gas is utilized for electricity generation. Both efficiencies for BOD removal and digestion gas generation are considerably lower than those in USA and EU utilities due to low concentration of organic material in influent wastewater. Such low energy regeneration, in turn, results in significantly higher energy consumption in Korean plants, compared to that in USA and EU ones.
