Dissipative Replaceable Bracing Connections (DRBrC) for earthquake protection of steel and composite structures

  • The article describes the development of a novel dissipative bracing connection device (identified by the acronym DRBrC) for concentrically braced frames in steel and composite structures. The origins of the device trace back to the seminal work of Kelly, Skinner and Heine (1972), and, more directly related, to the PIN-INERD device, overcoming some of its limitations and greatly improving the replaceability characteristics. The connection device is composed of a rigid housing, connected to both the brace and the beam-column connection (or just the column), in which the axial force transfer is achieved by four-point bending of a dissipative pin. The experimental validation stages, presented in detail, consisted of a preliminary testing campaign, resulting in successive improvements of the original device design, followed by a systematic parametric testing campaign. That final campaign was devised to study the influence of the constituent materials (S235 and Stainless Steel, for the pin, and S355 and High Strength Steel, for the housing), of the geometry (four-point bending intermediate spans) and of the loading history (constant amplitude or increasing cyclic alternate). The main conclusions point to the most promising DRBrC device configurations, also presenting some suggestions in terms of the replaceability requirements.

  • This study is purpose to analyze and adjust structure and composition methodology for Loft of korean traditional houses and than studying correlation about housing plan, according to middle-story structure like Loft form housing architecture. The Loft is composited to level by condition of location, using a rise of stair by expanding of span by function. We can divide to condition of location flatland and slant. In the flatland case, Loft is so heating that the kitchen floor make a lowly and in the slant case, Loft is composited a part of wing using height attitude of floor when the house build type and ㅁ type. Through this study. the Loft is various form of this structural forming then is affect the house facade. The composite of wall is come with the existence of Loft and the wall divided by the lintel and wall line.

  • Composite hollow insulator consist of an insulating tube bearing the mechanical load protected by an elastomer housing the loads being transmitted to the tube by metal fittings. The core processes are comprised briefly and the electrical and mechanical performance were examined according to the IEC standards. In this study, we have manufactured the composite hollow insulator, and carry out the insulator and busing type test according to the IEC standards. Comprehensive approach followed by the test results would give feasible hollow composite insulator compliable to the IEC standards.

  • 본 논문에서는 주차시설 등에 적용할 수 있는 시설물 맞춤형 에너지 하베스팅 블록 구조에 대하여 구조적 거동 및 발전 성능 평가를 수행하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 개선된 에너지 블록은 수치해석 및 실험적 모델을 통하여 구현되었다. 특히, 복합소재-PZT 하이브리드 에너지 블록은 향상된 구조적 내구성 및 발전 성능 효과를 위하여 제안되었다. 복합소재로 구성된 에너지 블록의 다양한 정적 및 동적 특성을 분석하기 ABAQUS를 통해 구현한 복합소재-PZT 유한요소 모델이 적용되었다. 또한, 실험실 규모 및 현장 실험 결과는 제안한 에너지 블록 구조의 다양한 발전 성능 효과를 보여준다.

가계재무종합지수(HFCI)를 활용한 가계특성별 재무상태 평가 (A Study on Financial Status of Households Using the Household Financial Composite Index (HFCI))

  • This study evaluates the financial status of Korean households using Household Financial Composite Index (HFCI) proposed in the preceding study. We analyzed 1,566 households with four persons aged 30-59 using raw data from the Korea Labor Panel Survey in 2016. The analysis results are as follows. First, HFCI was found to be 57.0 out of 100. Growth Index as one of three subindices was 11.1, which was significantly lower with 65.0 points for Status Index and 61.1 points for the Stability Index. Second, for households with male household owners, the overall financial score was 57.0, while that with female owners was almost similar with 57.2. HFCI was similar for the owner's age groups, but for Status Index, 58.5 for 30s, compared with 66.1 for 40s and 67.1 for 50s. The higher the education level of household owners, the better HFCI, with 53.2 high school graduates and 64.8 graduate graduates, showing a high gap of 11.6 points. HFCI for households living in owned housing was highest at 60.0, while that for rented housing was 40.7. Third, after controlling other effects, it was found that HFCI differed according to the level of education and ownership of housing living. Householder's gender was not found as a significant factor on HFCI. Status Index The 40s and 50s was higher than those in their 30s. Fourth, households were divided into three groups based on HFCI, named as risk, average and secure groups. HFCI for the risk group was 26.8, which was lower than 78.6 for the secure group, with a Status Index of 19.3. Households in their 50s and graduate school graduates were significantly included in the list of secure groups than others.

간접 충격을 이용한 압전 방식 진동형 에너지 하베스터 (Piezoelectric Vibration Energy Harvester Using Indirect Impact)

  • This paper presents an impact-based piezoelectric vibration energy harvester using a freely movable metal sphere and a piezoceramic fiber-based MFC (Macro Fiber Composite) as piezoelectric cantilever. The free motion of the metal sphere, which impacts both ends of the cavity in an aluminum housing, generates power across a cantilever-type MFC beam in response to low frequency vibration such as human-body-induced motion. Impacting force of the spherical proof mass is transformed into the vibration of the piezoelectric cantilever indirectly via the aluminum housing. A proof-of-concept energy harvesting device has been fabricated and tested. Effect of the indirect impact-based system has been tested and compared with the direct impact-based counterpart. Maximum peak-to-peak open circuit voltage of 39.8V and average power of $598.9{\mu}W$ have been obtained at 3g acceleration at 18Hz. Long-term reliability of the fabricated device has been verified by cyclic testing. For the improvement of output performance and reliability, various devices have been tested and compared. Using device fabricated with anodized aluminum housing, maximum peak-to-peak open-circuit voltage of 34.4V and average power of $372.8{\mu}W$ have been obtained at 3g excitation at 20Hz. In terms of reliability, housing with 0.5mm-thick steel plate and anodized aluminum gave improved results with reduced power reduction during initial phase of the cyclic testing.

  • 다양한 복합재료의 평면 전자파 차폐효과를 플랜지형 동축선 측정치구를 사용하여 평가하였다. 이들 측정결과로부커 제품의 외장재로 사용할 다양한 차폐재료의 선택 우선순의를 결정할 수 있다. 전자파차폐기능 복합재료의 차페 성능은 재료에 포함된 급속분말이나 급속섬유의 종류와 함량에 크게 의존한며, 최적 함량의 결정과 최적 첨가재의 선택이 매우 중요함을 알았다.

리츠와 건설경기, 부동산경기, 주식시장과의 관계 분석 (Relation Analysis Between REITs and Construction Business, Real Estate Business, and Stock Market)

  • 리츠는 주식시장에 상장되어 있으면서 부동산 개발을 위한 자금조달의 성격과 부동산에 투자하는 특징도 있으므로, 주식 시장과 건설 및 부동산시장과 관계가 있을 것으로 예상할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 리츠와 주식시장, 건설 및 부동산 경기와 관계된 지표들을 시계열 분석하여, 리츠와의 영향관계를 분석하였다. 시계열 분석은 백터자기회귀모형과 백터오차수정모형을 사용하였으며, 다음의 세 부분으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 첫째, 리츠와 건설 코스피 지수와의 관계를 분석한 결과, 건설 코스피 지수가 리츠에 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 리츠와 건설경기 동행지수인 건축착공면적, 부동산 경기 지수인 오피스 임대지수와 주택매매가격지수와의 관계를 분석하였다. 각 지표들은 서로 인과관계는 없는 것으로 분석되었지만, 리츠와 주택매매가격지수는 서로에게 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 리츠와 건설경기 선행지수인 건축허가면적의 관계를 분석하였다. 두 지표는 서로 인과관계가 없는 것으로 분석되었지만, 건축허가면적이 리츠에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구를 통해 리츠는 주식시장과 주택경기, 건설경기 선행지표인 건축허가 면적에 영향을 받지만, 건설경기 동행지표인 건축착공면적과 오피스 임대지수에는 상대적으로 영향을 작게 받는 것으로 분석되었다.

방염처리가 톱밥-귤박 혼합파티클보드의 흡음성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Flame Resistant Treatment on The Sound Absorption Capability of Sawdust-mandarin Peel Composite Particleboard)

  • 방염처리에 의한 톱밥-귤박 혼합파티클보드의 방염성능과 흡음성능의 변화를 관찰하고자 톱밥과 귤박을 혼합하여 파티클보드를 제작하였다. 보드로부터 원반형 시험편을 제작하여 무처리 보드에 2마이크로폰 전달함수법으로 보드의 흡음률을 측정하고 동일한 시험편에 방염수지를 도포한 후 동일한 방법으로 흡음률을 측정하였다. 방염성능 시험은 무처리와 방염처리 톱밥-귤박 혼합파티클보드를 45도 연소챔버에서 연소하여 탄화면적을 비교하였다. 방염처리에 의해시험편의 중량은 6.3% 정도 증가하였으며 탄화면적은 46.7% 정도 감소하였다. 흡음률은 측정주파수범위(500-6,400 Hz) 에서 방염처리 시험편이 무처리 시험편보다 약간 낮게 나타났다. 무처리와 방염처리 톱밥-귤박 혼합파티클보드의 흡음성능은 측정주파수 영역에서 상용 석고보드(두께 11 mm)보다 우수한 흡음성능을 나타내어 비내력벽 등의 흡음판으로의 이용이 기대된다.
