COVID-19 범유행 시기 일반병동 간호사의 피로도와 전문직 삶의 질과의 상관관계 (The Correlation Between Fatigue and Professional Quality of Life among General Ward Nurses during the COVID-19 Pandemic)

  • Purpose: The new infectious disease, COVID-19, is not over yet. The study aimed to identify the correlation between fatigue and professional quality of life among nurses in general wards during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used targeting 138 nurses in a tertiary general hospital located in Chungcheongnam-do from November 1 to 3, 2020. Results: The average age of the participants was 30.64 and the score of fatigue was 3.27. For the scores of subscales of professional life quality were 31.41 for compassion satisfaction, 27.12 for compassion fatigue, and 29.43 for burnout. The scores of fatigue were significantly correlated with compassion fatigue and burnout. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to expand the region and sample to investigate COVID-19 related fatigue and quality of professional life in nurses. In addition, it is necessary to seek interventions that can improve the quality of professional life for nurses.

상급종합병원 중환자실 간호사의 전문직 삶의 질이 전문직 자아개념에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Professional Quality of Life on the Professional Self-Concept of Intensive Care Unit Nurses in Tertiary Hospital)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing the professional self-concept of nurses working in intensive care units (ICUs). Methods : Data were collected from July 1 to August 15, 2014. The subjects were 206 ICU nurses working in four university hospitals in B and U cities, Korea. Their professional self-concept was measured using Arthur's Scale revised by Yoon (2012), and professional quality of life (QOL) was measured using Pro QOL Korean Ver. 5 developed by Stamm (2010). Data were analyzed with SPSS Ver. 18, using a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Results : Professional self-concept was significantly correlated with compassion satisfaction (r=.61, p<.001), and burn out (r=-.57, p<.001). The factors influencing professional self-concept were compassion satisfaction (${\beta}=.46$, p<.001), burn out (${\beta}=-.27$, p<.001), and education level (${\beta}=.14$, p =.014). The explanatory power of this model was 46.5%. Conclusion : The results suggest that the influencing factors found in this study should be considered when planning nursing intervention programs for improving the professional self-concept of ICU nurses.

간호사의 인지적 유연성, 극복력 및 전문직 삶의질이 직무착근도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Cognitive Flexibility, Resilience, and Professional Quality of Life on Job Embeddedness of Nurses)

  • Purpose: We examined the effects of cognitive flexibility, resilience, and professional quality of life on the job embeddedness of nurses. Methods: The participants were 120 nurses in three general hospitals. Data collection was conducted using self-report questionnaires from May 17 to June 2, 2022. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. Results: There were significant differences in job embeddedness by experience of turnover (t=-3.15, p=.002). The factors influencing the job embeddedness of the nurses were compassion satisfaction (β=.44, p<.001), resilience (β=.24, p=.035), experience of turnover (β=.23, p=.002), and cognitive flexibility (β=.21, p=.027). It was found that 39% could explain job embeddedness. Conclusion: It is necessary for nurses' support programs to be related to the experience of turnover to enhance job embeddedness. The results indicate a need to develop a program for cultivating compassion satisfaction, resilience, and cognitive flexibility to improve job embeddedness.

중환자실 간호사의 의사소통능력과 인문학적 소양이 전문직 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Communication Skills and Humanistic Knowledge on Professional Quality of Life in Intensive Care Unit Nurses)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify relation of the communication skills, humanistic knowledge and professional quality of life and to investigate the enhancing ways of professional quality of life in intensive-care unit nurses. Methods : The study design was a descriptive survey from 152 intensive-care unit nurses, from December 1 to 30, 2019. The data analysis was with ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and Multiple regression using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Results : The factors affecting compassion satisfaction were communication skills (β=0.42, p=.001), satisfaction for working (β=0.61, p=.001), marriage (β=0.23, p=.005), humanistic knowledge (β=0.47, p=.008) and these factors explained 35.6%. The factors affecting secondary traumatic stress were job stress (β=0.19, p=.011), number of patients per nurse (β=-0.36, p=.004) and these factors explained 9.4%. The factors affecting burnout were job stress (β=-0.25, p=.001), communication skills (β=-0.29, p=.001), working period(β=-0.18, p=.010), satisfaction for working (β=-0.31, p=.001), self care (β=-0.11, p=.033) and these factors explained 36%. Conclusion : Therefore, it is necessary to develop solution to improve professional quality of life in intensive-care unit nurses. It needs to develop programs to improve communication skills and humanistic knowledge in order to enhance compassion satisfaction and to improve communication skills to prevent burnout.

다차원적 요인이 중환자실 간호사의 소진에 미치는 영향 (Multidimensional Factors Influencing Burnout in Intensive Care Unit Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify multidimensional factors influencing burnout in intensive care unit(ICU) nurses. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional design was used. Data were collected during February 2016 from a convenience sample of 222 tertiary hospital ICU nurses and analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results: Burnout correlated positively with compassion fatigue (CF)(r=.37, p<.001), and negatively with compassion satisfaction (CS)(r=-.66, p<.001). The regression model explained 57% of the variance in burnout. For individual characteristics in the model, perceived health status (${\beta}=-.27$, p<.001) and gender (${\beta}=.14$, p=.028) were the most influential factors for ICU nurses' burnout. In the model with added work-related characteristics, nursing environment (${\beta}=-.22$, p=.001), perceived health status (${\beta}= -.20$, p=.001), and satisfaction with department (${\beta}=-.19$, p=.007) were the most influential factors. Finally, for the model with psychological characteristics added, CS (${\beta}=-.56$, p<.001) and CF (${\beta}=.35$, p<.001) were the most influential factors. Conclusion: Results reveal that most ICU nurses have a moderate level of CF and a moderate to high level of CS and burnout, and that individual, work-related and psychological factors are relevant in ICU nurses' burnout. Programs or interventions to reduce burnout should be developed taking into account these multidimensional factors.

신임해양경찰공무원의 공공봉사동기와 교육만족과의 관계 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Public Service Motivation and Educational Satisfaction of New Marine Police Officials)

  • 본 연구는 신임해양경찰공무원의 교육훈련에 공공봉사동기가 영향을 미치는가를 검증하였다. 연구결과는 공공봉사동기의 하위변인인 자기희생, 공익몰입, 공공정책의 호감도는 교육만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었으나 공공봉사동기 하위변인인 동정심은 교육내용만족에 대한 영향요인은 기각되었다. 본 연구는 내재적 요인인 공직에 필요한 봉사정신, 희생정신과 같은 무형의 자산이 교육만족도영향요인임을 검증하였다는데 의미가 있다. 해양경찰은 육상경찰이나 다른 공직분야와 달리 해상이라는 장소적인 위험성으로 인하여 공직 가치의 중요성이 보다 중요시되므로 이를 고양하기 위한 다양한 제도와 연구의 필요성이 인정된다.

응급실 간호사의 감정노동이 전문직 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 -감정부조화의 매개효과를 중심으로- (Effects of Emergency Department Nurses' Emotional Labor on Professional Quality of Life -Focusing on Mediating Effects of Emotional Dissonance-)

  • 본 연구는 응급실 간호사의 감정노동이 전문직 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 확인하고 이들 간의 관계에서 감정부조화의 매개효과를 규명하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 경남, 대구, 경북지역에 소재한 대학병원, 종합병원, 준종합병원 응급실에서 6개월 이상 근무하고 있는 일반간호사와 책임간호사, 수간호사 227명을 대상으로 하였고, 자료수집 기간은 2015년 12월 12일부터 2015년 12월 29일까지 실시하였다. 자료분석방법은 SPSS/WIN 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, three-step mediated regression analysis를 실시하였다. 대상자의 감정노동은 평균 7점 만점에 4.50점, 공감만족은 평균 50점 만점에 31.62점, 공감피로는 평균 50점 만점에 29.48점, 소진은 평균 50점 만점에 29.27점, 감정부조화는 평균 7점 만점에 5.02점으로 나타났다. 대상자의 감정노동은 공감피로와 소진의 유의한 영향요인이었고, 설명력은 각각 12%와 29%였다. 감정부조화는 감정노동과 공감피로의 관계에서 부분 매개효과, 감정노동과 소진의 관계에서 완전 매개효과를 보였다. 이상의 연구결과를 종합하여 볼 때, 간호사의 전문직 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위해서는 감정노동과 감정부조화를 최소화할 수 있는 전략이 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

중환자실에서의 인간중심 간호와 가족 만족도 관계 (The Relationship between Person-Centered Nursing and Family Satisfaction in ICUs)

  • Purpose : This study aims to identify the relationship between person-centered critical care nursing (PCCN) and family satisfaction for intensive care unit (ICU) nurses. Methods : This research used a cross-sectional survey. The participants were 142 nurses and 121 family members from 8 ICUs in 4 hospitals in B city. The questionnaire survey was conducted between December 2018 and March 2019. The eight ICUs were divided into those that scored high and those that scored low for person-centered care relative to the average score for PCCN, and the difference in family satisfaction between the ICUs with high and low scores was compared using t-test. Results : The mean score of PCCN was $3.68{\pm}0.40$ out of 5. In the subcategories of PCCN, "comfort"was the highest at $3.95{\pm}0.49$, followed by "respect" at $3.73{\pm}0.57$, "compassion" at $3.59{\pm}0.57$, and "individuality" at $3.47{\pm}0.54$. The average score of family satisfaction with the ICUs was $3.45{\pm}0.67$ out of 5. In its subcategories, "emotion" was the highest at $3.69{\pm}0.72$, followed by "information" at $3.61{\pm}0.75$, "participation" at $3.30{\pm}0.79$, and "resources" at $3.20{\pm}0.80$. The family satisfaction ($3.75{\pm}0.54$) with the ICU of the highest-scoring PCCN was significantly higher than the family satisfaction ($3.25{\pm}0.53$) with the ICU with the lowest-scoring PCCN (t=4.97, p<.001). Conclusion: The results suggest that the PCCN scores of ICU nurses should be promoted to improve family satisfaction. It is necessary to pursue a variety of ways to secure the provision of person-centered nursing practice in ICUs.

병원간호사의 간호일터영성, 회복탄력성이 전문직 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Nursing Workplace Spirituality and Resilience of Hospital Nurses on Professional Quality of Life)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 병원간호사의 간호일터영성, 회복탄력성이 전문직 삶의 질에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구이다. 연구 대상은 일 광역시 300병상 이상의 2개 종합병원에서 근무하는 간호사 200명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료수집은 2019년 3월 4일부터 3월 29일까지 진행되었고, 최종 197부를 분석에 사용하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS/WIN 21.0을 이용하여 기술통계, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, Stepwise multiple regression을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과 간호일터영성의 평균 점수는 4.54, 회복탄력성은 3.34, 전문직 삶의 질의 하위영역인 공감만족은 3.20, 이차 외상성 스트레스는 2.66, 소진은 2.79점으로 나타났다. 연구결과 공감만족에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 간호일터영성, 회복탄력성으로 나타났으며 설명력은 47%이었다. 이차 외상성 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인은 회복탄력성이었으며, 설명력은 13%이었다. 소진에 영향을 미치는 요인은 회복탄력성, 간호일터영성, 직업만족도였고 설명력은 51%이었다. 결론적으로 간호사의 이차 외상성 스트레스와 소진을 완화하고 전문직 삶의 질 향상을 위하여 병원간호사의 회복탄력성 증진이 필요하다.

간호대학생의 자기자비, 갈등해결전략이 임상실습 적응에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Self-compassion, Conflict Resolution Strategy on the Adaptation of Clinical Practice in Nursing College Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생 4학년을 대상으로 자기자비정도와 갈등해결전략이 임상실습 적응에 미치는 영향을 탐색하여 간호대학생들의 긍정적인 임상실습적응을 위한 교육훈련방안 마련 시 기초자료로 제공하기 위해 시도되었다. 간호대학생 4학년 243명의 자료를 SPSS/WIN 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 임상실습적응에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색한 결과, 임상실습만족도가 높을수록, 자기 스스로 고립되지 않으며, 과잉동일시 하지 않고, 갈등해결전략으로 타협을 사용하고 회피와 지배를 사용하지 않을 때 순으로 영향을 미쳤다. 이들 변인은 간호대학생들의 임상실습 적응도를 설명하는데 43.3%의 영향력을 나타내었다
