In this note we present sufficient conditions for the existence of Radon-Nikodym derivatives (RND) of operator valued measures with respect to scalar measures. The RND is characterized by the Bochner integral in the strong operator topology of a strongly measurable operator valued function with respect to a nonnegative finite measure. Using this result we also obtain a characterization of compact sets in the space of operator valued measures. An extension of this result is also given using the theory of Pettis integral. These results have interesting applications in the study of evolution equations on Banach spaces driven by operator valued measures as structural controls.

일반적으로 수치표고모델은 데이타 획득의 자동화 및 관리가 용이한 격자망의 형태로 구성되어져 왔다. 그러나 격자형 수치표고모델은 일정한 간격으로 데이타를 추출하기 때문에 지형의 특성을 정확하고 상세하게 나타내기 위하여는 많은 데이타 용량을 필요로 한다. 본 연구는 격자형 수치표고모델로부터 지형을 대표할 수 있는 중심점을 추출함으로써 압축된 수치표고 모델을 구축하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 지형의 중심점이 1차미분 연산자 및 라플라스 연산자에 의한 하이-패스 필터링에 의하여 추적되어 진다. 본 연구의 결과 압축된 수치표고모델을 구축하는데 있어서 라플라스 연산자가 1차미분 연산자보다 더 효과적인 하이-패스 필터임을 알 수 있었다.

In this paper, we have the extended result of Bunce's theorem. And we show that if T is an irreducible p-hyponormal operator such that T*T-TT* is compact, then ${\sigma}_{ap}(T)={\sigma}_e(T)$ and ${\sigma}_p({\phi}(T))={\sigma}_e({\phi}(T))$.

We characterize the boundedness and compactness of the weighted composition operator $uC_{\psi}$ from the general function space F(p, q, s) into the logarithmic Bloch space ${\beta}_L$ on the unit disk. Some necessary and sufficient conditions are given for which $uC_{\psi}$ is a bounded or a compact operator from F(p,q,s), $F_0$(p,q,s) into ${\beta}_L$, ${\beta}_L^0$ respectively.

In this paper, by using the semi-order method, two new existence theorems of coupled quasi-solutions for a class of nonlinear operator equations in Banach spaces are proved under some suitable conditions.

In this paper, the authors investigate the structure of operators similar to normaloid and transloid operators. In particular, we characterize the interior of the set of operators similar to normaloid (transloid, respectively) operators. This gives a concise spectral condition to determine when an operator is similar to a normaloid or transloid operator. Also it is proved that any Hilbert space operator has a compact perturbation with transloid property. This is used to give a negative answer to a problem posed by W. Y. Lee, concerning Weyl's theorem.

Let X and Y be normed linear spaces. An operator T defined on X with the range in Y is continuous in the sense that if a sequence {x$_{n}$} in X converges to x for the weak topology .sigma.(X.X') then {Tx$_{n}$} converges to Tx for the norm topology in Y. We shall denote the class of such operators by WC(X, Y). For example, if T is a compact operator then T.mem.WC(X, Y). In this note we discuss relationships between WC(X, Y) and the class of weakly of bounded linear operators B(X, Y). In the last section, we will consider some characters for an operator in WC(X, Y).).

Let $G$ be a metrizable, ${\sigma}$-compact locally compact abelian group with a compact open subgroup. In this paper we define the Gramian and the dual Gramian operators for shift invariant subspaces of $L^2(G)$ and we use them to characterize shift generated dual frames for shift in- variant spaces, which forms a frame for a subspace of $L^2(G)$. We present necessary and sufficient conditions for which standard dual is a unique SG-dual frame of type I and type II.

For several Banach spaces X and Y and operator ideal $\cal{U}$, if $\cal{U}$(X, Y) denotes the component of operator ideal $\cal{U}$; according to Freedman's definitions, it is shown that a necessary and sufficient condition for a closed subspace $\cal{M}$ of $\cal{U}$(X, Y) to have the alternative Dunford-Pettis property is that all evaluation operators $\phi_x\;:\;\cal{M}\;{\rightarrow}\;Y$ and $\psi_{y^*}\;:\;\cal{M}\;{\rightarrow}\;X^*$ are DP1 operators, where $\phi_x(T)\;=\;Tx$ and $\psi_{y^*}(T)\;=\;T^*y^*$ for $x\;{\in}\;X$, $y^*\;{\in}\;Y^*$ and $T\;{\in}\;\cal{M}$.
