  • The purpose of this study is to consider models for the production planning of multiproduct. Because these multiproducts use common facilities, labor, and materials, they are able to be considered jointly instead of planned independently. Initially linear programming models will be considered, followed by some examples of modeling and analysis when the cost structure is nonlinear. Basic model components are the following ; (1) inventory balance equations for each product to link successive time periods, and (2) capacity constraints for each period to represent resource limitations.

  • In this paper, we Investigate rationales for feedback adjustment using some techniques associated with automatic process control based on some nonstatioary disturbance models. Feedback-control schemes are often operated so that the nature of the disturbance that is being compensated is concealed and unusual deviations from the target cannot be taken account of. In this connection feedback control schemes is useful to extend the idea of common causes and special causes to such systems. Minimum-cost feedback schemes are discussed for some simple ,but practically interesting ,models.

  • The drive towards lowering costs and increasing frame rates results in new panel designs and thereby new photomasks designs. One common way to reduce cost is to reduce the number of production steps. For this multi tone photomasks (MTM) are needed. MTMs contain more information and increases photomask placement requirements. Increasing frame rates lead to shrinking geometries. The combination of HTM and shrinking geometries drastically increases the requirements imposed on the pattern generators used to print the photomasks. New methods are therefore needed to enable future photomask manufacturing. This paper introduces three advanced image quality enhancing methods.

  • An information structure of large size hypermedia application is usually hierarchical, and the sibling nodes in this structure have same or similar tags and contents. a word "개그" that means the common set of sibling nodes in the hierarchical information structure is used in this paper. It proposes a design method that divides form and content from nodes and it proposes HTML page generation algorithm from forms and contents. This method has reusability of form, maintainability of documents and reduction of cost for authoring.

  • This research executed research that analyze construction cost and profitability through construction example of direction and subcontracting construction based on common private construction less than 3 billion. The results of this research, is summarized as follows. (1) Analyzed profitability about construction gross and operating profit of direction and subcontracting construction. The construction gross profit rate is 15.2% direction construction, subcontracting construction was analyzed by 1.3% high by 16.5% subcontracting construction, and the operating profit rate is 9.4% direction construction, subcontracting construction was construed by 2.3% high by 11.7% subcontracting construction. (2) Analyzed profitability about operating profit before and after deduction of 4 insurance cost of direction construction. The direction construction operating profit rate is 9.4% before deduction of 4 insurance cost, after deduction was construed that is 7.3% and operating profit rate difference after and before deduction was construed that is 2.1%. Therefore, subcontracting construction (operating profit rate 11.7%) was analyzed that last operating profitability after 4 insurance cost deduction produces more 4.4% about direction construction.

  • Background: Cervical cancer, which is common in developing countries, is also a major health issue in Korea. Our aim was to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of Korea's National Cancer Screening Program (NCSP), implemented in 1999. Materials and Methods: The target population was Korean women 30 years or over who were invited to take part in the NCSP in 2002-2007. By merging NCSP records with Korean Central Cancer Registry data, patients diagnosed with cervical cancer who had been screened were assigned to a "screened group," while patients diagnosed elsewhere were assigned to a "non-screened group." Clinical outcomes were measured in terms of life-years saved (LYS), derived from 5-year mortality rates supplied by the Korean National Health Insurance Corporation and National Statistical Office. Direct and travel costs associated with screening were evaluated from the perspective of the payer, the NCSP. Results: A diagnosis via screening was associated with 2.30 LYS, and the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) estimate for screening was 7,581,679 KW/LYS (6,727 USD/LYS). ICER estimates were lower for older patients (${\geq}$ 50 years) than younger patients (4,047,033 KW/LYS vs 5,680,793 KW/LYS). The proportion of early-stage cancers detected was 16.3% higher in the screened group. Conclusions: In light of Korea's per capita gross domestic product (32,272 USD in 2012), the current NCSP's incremental cost per LYS appears acceptable.

  • Several common issues are encountered by countries - Germany, Japan, and the United States - that adopted long-term care (LTC) system. First, the demand for LTC and its associated costs have steeply risen following the implementation of the LTC policy. Second, ensuring the quality of services have been difficult. Third, the coordination of services among providers and between LTC and medical care has been inadequate. Learning from their experience, we suggest ways to improve the LTC system in Korea. The basic approach aims for efficiency over equity in the system. This would require promoting provider competition and consumer choice. We propose several policy options according to the major stakeholders. For consumers, cash benefits at fixed rates and personal savings accounts are feasible options to self-contain the demand and cost of services. On the insurer's side, creating an environment of multiple insurers will engender competition, leading to cost savings and quality care. For providers, delivery of quality services through competition, cost-containment through capitated reimbursements, and coordination of services through integrated delivery system can be achieved. From the assessors' perspective, establishing an information system to monitor the activities of insurers and providers would be important, empowering consumers with information to choose cost-effective service providers. In summary, the suggested approach would provide cost-effective LTC services by guaranteeing consumer choice and promoting major stakeholder accountability. Further studies are needed to test the feasibility of this model in ensuring quality LTC in Korea.

  • For the power system to keep in a stable operating state, sufficient ancillary services must be available to respond to credible contingency events and return the power system to a satisfactory operating state in the case of contingencies as well as blackout events within specified predefined limits. The logical and reasonable bases of valuing and pricing the ancillary services are required to reach the common ground among market participants. The total amount of black start service transactions is quite small compared to the total ancillary service transactions as well as energy market transactions. Black start services must be provided as one of the ancillary services in the deregulated electricity market. In order to procure and remunerate black start services, it is necessary to quantify the value of the black start sources within the power system. In this paper, an approach to assess the value of the black start service is presented based on the cost-of-service solution. Financial simulation of the influence on market participants for the proposed approach on the service is carried out. The cost of the black start service is allocated in accordance with the principle of "causer pays", and the cost is shared by the producers and consumers equally that created the requirement for the service. Under the present electricity market, the mechanism to recover the cost is not implemented, a new approach to the ancillary services to provide incentive for the service providers has to be studied in the near future.

  • The systematic material and labor management planning should be established on accomplished EVM data. The matrix method of integrated cost and schedule was used with common category concept according to the construction project control system. The construction project control system was suggested through analyzing process and data modeling based on integrated cost, schedule and material. Information of construction project can be developed the relationship between the field data and the integrated cost, schedule database. Process and data modelling is provide a standard data format which are related to the material, labor management based on integrated cost, schedule database.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel method for converting the existing 2D processes in the design and construction phase of civil engineering, to the future BIM-based processes. First, we compare and analyze the actual application processes of the outputs of the existing 2D method and the outputs of the 3D BIM method, for the whole process of BIM design of earthworks and road structures and integrated utilization of quantity, process(4D) and construction cost(5D), in view of life-cycle. The proposed method acquire the outputs of the design phase integrating IFC international common standard file information and CBS/OBS/WBS standard classification scheme information, and acquire the outputs of the construction stage by using an integrated utilization module for quantity, process(4D) and construction cost(5D). Ultimately, we intend to commercialize the step by step technologies for BIM design and construction in civil engineering by using the proposed method.
