Recently, the color separation issue of wide-spreading white LEDs has attracted attention due to their wide applicability as light sources in direct-lit LCD backlights. These wide-spreading LED packages usually consist of LED chips, a color-conversion phosphor layer, and a light-shaping lens. The technical aspect of this color issue was related to a method for balancing the yellow spectral component emitting from phosphors with respect to the blue one from the LED chip as a function of viewing angle. In this study, we suggested an approach for carrying out quantitative analysis for the color separation problem occurring in wide-spreading LED packages by optical simulation. In addition, the effect of an internal scattering layer on the color uniformity was investigated, which may be considered as a potential solution for this problem.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of the mind maps which were drawn with pencil or color pens by elementary students. For this study, 31 students of the 6th grade were selected and trained mind mapping. After training, the subjects had drawn mind maps with color pens about the ROCK for 15minutes and drew mind maps with pencil after 2days of mind mapping using color pens. In addition to activities of mind mapping, the students handed in their papers which were written one's impression of drawing two kinds of mind mapping. The results were follows: First, in central circle which was linked words connected firstly with ROCK as key word, the difference of 2kinds mind maps were little showed in the quantity and quality of the words, branches and their adequacy. Second, the mind maps using pencils had more words, branches and images than mind maps of using color pens in the whole assessment. Third, the most students suggested that the mind mapping using pencil were advantage to economy of time, retouching words and branches, also the mind mapping using pencil made the students relax the strain for drawing it because of retouching possibility. Consequently, the results of this study suggest the mind mapping using pencil has advantage effect on the purpose of gaining students' thinking abundantly and economy of time in elementary science classes.
The principal objective of this study was to assess the sensory and mechanical characteristics, moisture content and color values of Ogapisulggi by varying the quantity of Acanthopanax sessiliflorus Seemann var. Goma(Ogapi) berry powder and the types of sugar utilized. The moisture content, color values, texture characteristics, and sensory characteristics of the different Ogapisulggi were then measured and compared. When the quantity of the Ogapi berry powder was the same, Ogapisulggi with honey added and the equal amount of sugar and honey added group was moister than that with sugar. The ightness values and yellowness values were decreased with increasing the Ogapi berry powder, whereas the redness values was increased. In particular, decreased proportions were observed in the Ogapi berry powder and sugar-added group($R^2$=0.922), the equal amount of sugar and honey-added group($R^2$=0.922) and the honey-added group$R^2$=0.966). In our texture analysis, hardness and adhesiveness values were reduced in the 0.3% Ogapi berry powder-added group, and springiness, cohesiveness, and chewiness values were increased the Ogapi berry powder-added group. Sensory evaluation showed that the Ogapisulggi containing 0.3% Ogapi berry powder was the lowest in terms of color, flavor, after-swallowing and overall preference. On the basis of the results of this study, the best ratio of ingredients was as follows: 0.3% addition of Ogapi berry powder with sugar and 0.1% addition of Ogapi berry powder with honey, which supports the conclusion regarding the benefits of Ogapi berry powder supplementation in Ogapisulggi in terms of taste and functionality.

In this study, convergence art education which Based on the overall understanding of color, which is a field of science, the lecture model was constructed in order to operate a fusion curriculum which can be practically expressed by applying it to the artistic field of floral design. The learner was satisfied with the composition of the two lectures (floral design, color) and the way of conducting theory and practice. In addition, they felt that was able to access various areas through one subject. This indicates that learners themselves perceive the purpose and necessity of this study. On the other hand, it is pointed out that the background knowledge level between the majors and the non - majors is different. therefore Continuous feedback and adjustment of the degree of difficulty of the training seems to be necessary to enhance the learner's understanding. In order to develop the floral design, the curriculum development and education model should be built through convergence of various sciences. It is expected that this study will be used as basic data for the development of the curriculum for the artistic design education.

The main problems of disordered and congested urban landscape are due to the lack of holistic management that can control various elements of forming a city. Especially, the color of urban landscape is problematic because it is related to individual and social characteristics as well as to physical characteristics. Therefore, temporary expedients that can solve only visualized problems can not be a proper solution for color problems of urban landscape. This study originated from the question about why the color of disordered and congested urban landscape has not been improved. This study aims at directly improving the urban environmental color by finding out what the actual problems related to color are, and what the solutions would be. The goal of this study is to find a holistic systematic problem-solving method. Problems of urban environmental color are identified from both literature review and questionnaires to the expert group, such as environmental planning, design group, and the landscape executive group. Through mapping of relationships among these problems, the intellectual map was made to layout the structures of problems. Based on this method, the structures of problems of urban environmental color were classified into 5 categories: 1) the items related to the administrative structure, 2) the items related to the color management goal and system, 3) the items related to the color planning and design phase, 4) the items related to the color consulting committee, and 5) the items related to the present state of color use. Thus, in order to solve the color problem in urban landscape, practical strategy is strongly required. It is not a temporary expedient but a holistic approach. The solution for the problems of urban environmental color could be divided into 6 types; ‘regulations amendment’,‘color standard amendment’,‘color management plan’,‘color education’, and ‘advertisement for the goal of color management’. Regulations amendment among these types was proposed as the most effective method due to the close relationship with problem categories. Thus, as the solution for the problems of urban environmental color, the ‘color management system’ was suggested. Detailed contents the suggested color management system were divided into three parts; 1) legislation by regulations, ordinance and acts, 2) management by controling the level of guidelines, and 3) the standards for execution of this system.
Flipped learning research has been applied in various educational fields since 2015 and the educational effects have been discussed in previous literature. In the beauty field, flipped learning research is insufficient; in particular, it is difficult to find research on flipped learning specifically concerning nail beauty education. The purpose of this study is to develop a model for applying flipped learning to nail beauty education which should involve practical training based on theory. Such an approach is considered effective. Data were collected and analyzed focusing on previous studies with flipped learning applied as a research method. The subject of the research is "Nail Color Design 1", a common nail major elective subject at J college. The "Nail Color Design 1" course is a practice-oriented course in the form of theory and practical classes. Consequently, the flipped learning education model for nail beauty was designed by reflecting learners' needs through the ADDIE instructional design model. It was applied based on the education structure of the Pre-class, In-class, and Post-class of the PARTNER instructional learning model. This study deviates from the traditional practical education model, and has educational significance as a practical model in which flipped learning is applied to nail beauty subjects and self-reflection is derived through project practice.
This study was conducted to evaluate the industry foodservice management practices and to suggest guidelines for the effective foodservice management. The survey for the analysis was conducted through the questionnaires to dietitians. They were divided into two groups : the site color worker and the blue color worker. The questionnaires were received for a response rate of 73.2%. Statistical data analysis was completed using the SAS programs for descriptive analysis, $x^2$ test, T-test, F-test, and Fisher's LSD. The results of the study can be summarized as follows : 1) The level of education of dietitians and food cost in the employee feeding operations for the blue color worker was lower than the employee feeding operations for the white color worker. 2) The labor productivity indices were not significantly different according to types of workers. But in the employee feeding operations for the blue color worker, full-time foodservice employees worked more than 10.7 hour per week than their counterpart. This indicates the full-time foodservice employees in the employee feeding operations for the blue color worker performed more loaded work compared to the employee feeding operations for the white color worker. 3) Equipped rate of facilities in the employee feeding operations for the blue color worker was low especially in the food preparation and cooking processes.

Children's museum has roles of the characterized place for children as well as the museum for education. Therefore, specific color selection especially for children is one of the most important points to be considered. This study is the short investigation on various interior color systems of children's museums in Korea. In case of Children's Museum in National Museum of Korea, each exhibition area is apparently divided by adopting colors in accord with the subject of each space. Middle color in that museum generally gives stability, and clear color and accent color give better perception and vitality Children's folk Museum has adopted Korean traditional colors, O-Bang Colors, which have indicated Korean tradition for ages. All sections in Incheon Children's Museum are spatially divided, but similar colors of ceiling, wall, and floor give boring atmosphere. Since original colors of furniture in Science section distract attraction of children, proper color selection should be required for better reaction from children. Therefore, this research is aiming for detailed investigation in color system of children's museum and the proper interior color planning of the next children's museums with their main purpose for children in the future.

The MPEG-7 standard defines a set of descriptors that extracts low-level features such as color, texture and object shape from an image and generates metadata in order to represent these extracted information. But the matching performance for image mining ma y not be satisfactory by u sing only on e of these features. Rather than by combining these features we can achieve a better query performance. In this paper we propose a new image retrieval technique for image mining that combines the features extracted from MPEG-7 visual color and texture descriptors. Specifically, we use only some specifications of Scalable Color Descriptor (SCD) and Non-Homogeneous Texture Descriptor also known as Edge Histogram Descriptor (EHD) for the implementation of the color and edge histograms respectively. MPEG-7 standard defines $l_{1}$-norm based matching in EHD and SCD. But in our approach, for distance measurement, we achieve a better result by using cosine similarity coefficient for color histograms and Euclidean distance for edge histograms. Our approach toward this system is more experimental based than hypothetical.
Advances in computer technology have made it possible for educators to design and develop their own multimedia instructional materials using visuals such as animation. Although, it generally believed that the Mew attribute of computer animation facilitates student's foaming, there is still relatively little research regarding the way in which student benefit from multimedia instruction using 3-D animation. The purpose of this research was to examine and determine whether the use of 3-D computer generated images is an effective teaching device for hoping children to understand color theory, and enhancing the tractional methods. In this study, a 3-D computer generated presentation was creative and it demonstrated the mixing of primary color to obtain secondary color. Three research hypotheses were developed in this research. The first hypothesis stated that 3-D computer generated presentation will be an effective device for teaching color theory. The second was that the presentation will be eye-catching and it will hold the children's attention. The third was presentation would enhance the children's memory of color. Results of this study show that visualization technology and the use of 3-D graphics ends can be employed in the field of art education to increases a chi1d's understanding of color theory. Also, it was proved that teaching children through 3-D graphic is an highly effective teaching tool. Thus this research is a oontribution to both children's au education and the relatively new field of computer animation.
