  • This paper focuses on the image correction under few GCPs, utilizes the collinearity equation, and builds up this mathematics model of space backside resection based on condition adjustment. Then calculates the adjusted elements of exterior orientation by iteration algorithm, and evaluates the precision. And demonstrates the high-precision, affection and wide-supplying-perspective of this model.

  • Degradation of image caused by relative motion between the object and the imaging system (like a camera with its platform) is detrimental to precision photogrammetry. Principal modes of relative motion are identified. The discussion is, however, concentrated on the systematic motions, translatory and rotatory. Various analogical approaches of compensating for the image motion are cited. An analytical-computational approach is presented. This one considers the relationship of transformation bet ween the image and the object, known as the collinearity condition. The standard forms of collinearity condition equations are presented. Augmentation of these equations with regard to both translatory and rotatory motions are expounded. With ever increasing use of high speed computers (as well as analytical plotters in the realm of photogrammetry), this approach seems to be more costeffective and seems to yield better precision in the long run than other approaches that concentrate on analogical corrections to the image itself.

  • An algorithm of 3-D particle image velocimetry(3D-PIV) was developed for the measurement of 3-D velocity Held of complex flows. The measurement system consists of two or three CCD camera and one RGB image grabber. Flows size is $1500{\times}100{\times}180(mm)$, particle is Nylon12(1mm) and illuminator is Hollogen type lamp(100w). The stereo photogrammetry is adopted for the three dimensional geometrical mesurement of tracer particle. For the stereo-pair matching, the camera parameters should be decide in advance by a camera calibration. Camera parameter calculation equation is collinearity equation. In order to calculate the particle 3-D position based on the stereo photograrnrnetry, the eleven parameters of each camera should be obtained by the calibration of the camera. Epipolar line is used for stereo pair matching. The 3-D position of particle is calculated from the three camera parameters, centers of projection of the three cameras, and photographic coordinates of a particle, which is based on the collinear condition. To find velocity vector used 3-D position data of the first frame and the second frame. To extract error vector applied continuity equation. This study developed of various 3D-PIV animation technique.

  • A methodology to measure 3-dimensional vibrational displacement of a structure by digital photogrammetry is proposed in this paper. Stereo digital images of a vibrating structure were obtained by two non-metric cameras. Then by applying the collinearity condition to the images, the 3-d displacement time history data of a point or many points can be calculated by the present methodology. Experimental work was performed to measure the displacement time history for a cantilever beam excited by a piezoelectric patch, in which the in-depth displacement data obtained by the proposed method well matched the laser sensor data.

  • This paper describes an experiment for three-dimensional positioning for a pair of KOMPSAT stereostrips using the ancillary data and a single ground control point. The photogrammetric model for three-dimensional positioning was performed as follows: first, initialization of orbital and attitude parameters derived from ancillary data; second, adjustment of orbital and attitude parameters for the satellite to minimize the ground position error with respect to a GCP using the collinearity condition; third, determination of actual satellite position; and lastly, space intersection. This model was tested for a pair of stereo strips with 0.6 base-to-height ratio and GCPs identified from a 1:5,000 scale digital map. As the result, the satellite position of offset was corrected by only one GCP and the accuracy for the geometric modeling showed 38.89m RMSE.

  • In order to understand the co-culture impact of the sea squirt Halocynthia roretzi on the Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas, we examined the filtration rate of the sea squirt in relation of water temperature ($5-25^{\circ}C$) and body weight. The filtration rate increased in relation to body weight and water temperature, indicating a clear positive correlation with the two variables. Due to the clear positive correlation between filtration rates at each temperature groups for acceptable collinearity, each constants at regression equation was further analyzed for a unified model of filtration rate. Therefore the filtration rate of H. roretzi was estimated as: Fr (L/h/animal)=$(0.1956+0.0182T){\times}DW^{0.7978EXP(-0.0273T)}$ for water temperature in the range of $5-25^{\circ}C$. The estimated filtration rates of H. roretzi were higher than those of C. gigas in the winter season (water temperatures below $16^{\circ}C$) in condition of equal body weight. Our results indicate that H. roretzi may have an advantage over C. gigas in food competition during the winter season when the two species are co-cultured.

  • This paper presents an algorithm that automatically extracts buildings among many different features on the earth surface by fusing LIDAR data with panchromatic aerial images. The proposed algorithm consists of three stages such as point level process, polygon level process, parameter space level process. At the first stage, we eliminate gross errors and apply a local maxima filter to detect building candidate points from the raw laser scanning data. After then, a grouping procedure is performed for segmenting raw LIDAR data and the segmented LIDAR data is polygonized by the encasing polygon algorithm developed in the research. At the second stage, we eliminate non-building polygons using several constraints such as area and circularity. At the last stage, all the polygons generated at the second stage are projected onto the aerial stereo images through collinearity condition equations. Finally, we fuse the projected encasing polygons with edges detected by image processing for refining the building segments. The experimental results showed that the RMSEs of building corners in X, Y and Z were ${\pm}$8.1cm, ${\pm}$24.7cm, ${\pm}$35.9cm, respectively.
