중환자실 간호사를 위한 자기주장훈련의 효과 (Effects of Assertiveness Training for ICU Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was done to examine the effects of assertiveness training on Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurses' assertive behavior, job stress, communication conflict, and self-esteem toward improving their communication skills and coping. Methods: The assertiveness training program was developed to a 10-hour program consisting of 3 sessions. The goals were to understand assertive behavior and learn how to practice assertive communication in general conflict situations and/or a difficult conflict situation in the ICU. Participants were 65 nurses recruited from a tertiary teaching hospital and of these, 27 nurses completed the program. Data were collected from Jan. 30th to Mar. 28th, 2009 using a questionnaire which included demographic characteristics, assertive behaviour scale, job stress scale, communication conflict inventory-specific, and self-esteem scale. Data were analyzed using SPSS v. 14.0 for $x^2$ test and t-test. Results: ICU nurses in the experimental group had a significant increase in aspects of assertive behavior and a decrease in job stress. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that assertiveness training is effective in increasing ICU nurses' assertive behavior and decreasing job stress through reinforcement of assertiveness behavior.

국내 여자 대학생에서 과민성 장증후군과 스트레스에 관한 연구 (A Study of Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Stress on Female College Students in Korea)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to provide a database for making better decisions of the treatment of the irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) patient, and for improving the recognition of IBS in the Korean society. Methods: The survey was conducted on 174 female college students in Korea from January 2017 to January 2018. Out of the total students surveyed, 160 questionnaires were analyzed after excluding 14 uncompleted questionnaires. Results: Based on the survey, the prevalence of IBS among female college students in Korea was found to be 13.8%. Statistically, the results proved that there were significant differences in the stress levels between the students with IBS and non-IBS diagnosed by ROME IV criteria. Students with IBS had higher stress levels than students without the ailment. Conclusions: Based on this study, stress management related treatment should be actively considered. Furthermore, it is necessary to develop more efficient and updated guidelines for the treatment of IBS and new patient care programs.

호흡바이오피드백 훈련이 간호대학생의 임상실습시 스트레스에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Breathing Biofeedback Training in the Stress of Nursing Students in Clinical Practice.)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of breathing biofeedback training on the stress of nursing students in clinical practice. The research design was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were 39 nursing students from the College of Nursing of K University. The study was conducted from July 20 to September 3, 1998. The subjects were assigned to one of two groups : the experimental group (19 students), and the control group (20 students). The breathing biofeedback training was performed 12 times with the experimental group. The level of psychological stress was measured using the State Anxiety Inventory, Profile of Mood State, and Visual Analogue Stress Scale. The level of physiological stress was measured using pulse rate and blood pressure. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, $x^2-test$, t-test, and repeated measures of ANOVA. The results of study are as follows : 1) State anxiety scores were not significantly different between the experimental group and the control group after the biofeedback training. 2) Profile of mood state scores were not significantly different between the experimental group and the control group after the biofeedback training. 3) Visual Analogue Stress Scale scores were significantly different between the experimental group and the control group after the biofeedback training(F=11.68, p=0.002). 4) Pulse rates were not significantly different between the experimental group and the control group after the biofeedback training. 5) Systolic blood pressures were significantly different between the experimental group and the control group after the biofeedback training(F=5.44, p=0.025). 6) Diastolic blood pressures were not significantly different between the experimental group and the control group after the biofeedback training. On the basis of the above findings, the following recommendations for further study are made ; 1) Identification of the effects of breathing biofeedback training at times of high stress during clinical practice. 2) Identification fo the effects of stress reduction according to the frequency of the breathing biofeedback training.

임상실습 교육시 간호사와 간호학생이 지각하는 스트레스에 관한 연구 (A comparative study of the stress that is perceived by nursing students and nurses in clinical nursing education)

  • Purpose : This study was performed to measure the level of stress that is perceived by nurses and nursing students and promote the effect of clinical nursing education. Method : the questionnaire measuring the level of stress was developed by researchers and distributed to 200 nursing students and 300 nurses in three provincial city, Korea The data was collected by self-reporting from March 1 to 15 of 2002. For data analysis, SPSS/PC was used. Result : The stress score of nursing students was higher than that of nurses. But it was not significant different in statistics. The items that had a significant difference between two groups were 17 items among the 35 items. The factors that had a significant difference between two groups were 3 factors among the 4 factors. In relationship between the subjects' demographic characteristics and their stress, the only nursing unit had a relationship to their stress. Conclusion : The level of stress being perceived by nursing students and nurses was no significant different in statistics and the subjects' demographic characteristics that had a relationship to their stress was only the nursing unit.

임상간호사의 낙관성과 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계에서 사회적 지지와 스트레스의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Social Support and Stress on Optimism and Psychological Well-being in Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study proposed to identify the mediating effect of social support and stress on optimism and psychological well-being in clinical nurses. Methods: Data were collected through structured questionnaires. The participants of this study were 207 clinical nurses who worked at hospitals in the metropolitan cities of B & U. Data were collected from September 3 to September 30, 2013. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression with SPSS WIN v 20.0. Results: The mean scores of optimism, social support, stress, psychological well-being were $3.61{\pm}0.62$, $3.65{\pm}0.64$, $0.82{\pm}0.59$, $3.36{\pm}0.38$ respectively. Social support and stress showed mediating effects between optimism and psychological well-being. Conclusion: Based on this study, intervention programs to reduce stress and create support systems for clinical nurses should be developed to improve their psychological well-being.

임상간호사의 직무스트레스, 직장가정 갈등, 소진이 우울에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Clinical Nurses' Job Stress, Work-family Conflicts & Burnout on Depression)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 임상간호사의 직무스트레스, 직장가정 갈등 및 소진이 우울에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 분석방법은 기술통계, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, Stepwise multiple regression analysis를 이용하였다. 연구결과로는 간호사의 직무스트레스는 중간보다 높은 정도였고, 직장가정 갈등은 중간 정도, 소진은 중간 이하였고, 우울은 가벼운 우울 정도였다. 직무스트레스가 높고, 직장가정 갈등이 높고, 소진이 높을수록 우울이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 간호사의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 직장가정 갈등이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났고, 다음으로 소진이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 임상간호사의 우울을 예방하고 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위하여 직장가정 갈등 해소를 위한 직무스트레스 및 소진을 예방할 수 있는 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

간호대학생의 전공만족과 임상실습만족이 취업스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Major Satisfaction and Clinical Practice Satisfaction on Job-Seeking Stress in Nursing College Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 전공만족과 임상실습만족이 취업스트레스에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 시도되었다. 본 연구는 2021년 5월부터 6월까지 전라지역 소재 M대학의 4학년 간호대학생 152명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문을 통해 데이터를 수집하였다. 자료의 분석은 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's 상관관계 분석, 다중회귀분석을 이용하였다. 연구의 결과 간호대학생의 취업스트레스는 전공만족과는 유의한 음의 상관(r=-.356, p<.001)이 있었지만, 임상실습만족과는 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났다(r=-.018, p=.825). 다중회귀분석의 결과, 간호대학생의 취업스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인은 나이(β=0.285, p<.001), 성적(β=0.250, p=.001), 전공만족(β=-0.331, p<.001)이었고 설명력은 25.3%였다. 본 연구의 결과로 간호대학생의 취업스트레스를 줄여주기 위해 전공만족을 높일 수 있는 정책적 프로그램의 개발과 적용이 필요하며 나이와 성적을 고려한 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

치위생과 학생들의 임상실습관련 불안과 피로 조사 (Anxiety and fatigue related to dental practices of dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives : The aim of the study is to investigate anxiety, fatigue and stress of dental hygiene students in clinical practice and to improve the psychological support program. Methods : A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 428 dental hygiene students in 4 universities in Gwagju and Jeonnam. Data were analyzed for anxiety, stress and fatigue, general characteristics using SPSS 18.0 program for descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and correlation. Results : Saliva suction showed the most high score in treatment($mean{\pm}SD=2.92{\pm}1.13$) and was followed by children dental care($2.79{\pm}1.21$), preventive dental care($2.38{\pm}1.04$), maxillofacial radiology($2.35{\pm}1.15$). During the clinical practice, students felt uneasy when they stayed in relative home(p<0.05). Poor interpersonal relation(p<0.001), poor health condition(p<0.01), low satisfaction with major(p<0.01), the other cause of major choice(p<0.01) influenced on their stress. Satisfaction with major was closely related to clinical practice performance, anxiety, physical fatigue and mental fatigue. Conclusions : In order to reduce physical, mental, neuro sensory fatigue of students in clinical practice, it is recommended to reinforce the patient care etiquettes in curricula.

일부 치위생학과 학생들의 병원실습 만족도와 스트레스 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Satisfaction and Stress Factors of Clinical Practice for Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 이번 연구는 치위생(학)과 학생들의 임상실습에 대한 만족도와 임상실습 스트레스 요인을 파악하고, 임상실습만족도와 스트레스 요인들 간의 상관관계를 알아보고자 2012년 5월 21일부터 6월 22일까지 병원 임상실습 경험이 있는 치위생(학)과 학생 232명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, SPSS WIN 12.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석한 후 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 스트레스 요인은 학제별로 환경요인, 역할요인, 대인관계요인, 이상과 가치 요인, BEPSI 모든 요인이 4년제보다 3년제에서 높았고(p<0.01), 실습만족도에 따른 스트레스 요인은 불만족일 때 모든 요인이 높았으며, 그 중 환경요인이 가장 높았다(p<0.001). 교육기관에 따라 환경요인은 치과대학병원이 가장 높았고, 대인관계요인과 이상과 가치요인은 치과병원, 역할요인과 BEPSI는 치과의원이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다(p<0.01). 병원분위기가 나쁠 때 환경요인이 가장 높았고, 역할요인, 대인관계요인, 이상과 가치요인, BEPSI순이었다(p<0.001). 병원실습 스트레스 요인간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 실습만족도, 환경, 역할, 대인관계, 이상과 가치, BEPSI 간에는 양의 상관관계가 있었고(p<0.01), BEPSI에 가장 큰 영향력을 보이는 스트레스 요인은 대인관계였으며, 환경, 이상과 가치 순으로 나타났다(p<0.001). 임상실습에서 낯선 환경과 대인관계의 부족으로 학생들은 평소보다 스트레스 지수가 더 높을 수 있으므로 학생들이 스트레스에 대해 스스로 잘 대처할 수 있는 능력을 키워주기 위한 체계적인 임상실습 운영방안을 마련해야 할 것으로 생각된다.

간호사의 업무 스트레스에 대한 연구 -정신과 간호사 중심- (A Study on Work Stress Perceived by Clinical Nurses)

  • This study was designed to measure the degree of work stress perceived by clinical nurses working in psyciatric ward, and to identify the factors influencing the difference of work stress. The survey method was used and the subjects of this study consisted of 135 psyciatric nurses from 7 university hospitals and 4 provincial general hospitals. The data were collected from August 1 to 20, 1988. The instrument used for this study was PNOSS(Psychiatric Nurse Occupational Stress Scale) which was developed by Bai(1989). The confidence verification of this instrument was computed and the Cronbach $\alpha$ was 0.94050. Data were analysed by t-test and ANOVA on 5% significant level with SPSS program. The results of study were summerized as follow : 1) The degree of perceived stress among psychiatric nurses was considerably high(4.32 out of 6.00). 2) Among the stressors, inadequate staffing(5.04), hospital administrational problems (4.7) and the conflict of nurse-patient relationship were identified as the stress factors with high rank of degree of stress. 3) There was significant relationship between the degree of stress and the demographic variables of nurses such as the marital status, educational level, and the motivation of working in psychiatric ward. 4) There was significant relationship between the job-related variables such as the working duration, the motivation of working and nurse's attitude toward the psychiatric patients. 5) The relationship between several stress factors and some of the demographic and the job-related variables were significantly identified.
