Purpose: Medical records classification using vectorization techniques plays an important role in natural language processing. The purpose of this study was to investigate proper vectorization techniques for electronic medical records classification. Material and methods: 403 electronic medical documents were extracted retrospectively and classified using the cosine similarity calculated by Scikit-learn (Python module for machine learning) in Jupyter Notebook. Vectors for medical documents were produced by three different vectorization techniques (TF-IDF, latent sematic analysis and Word2Vec) and the classification precisions for three vectorization techniques were evaluated. The Kruskal-Wallis test was used to determine if there was a significant difference among three vectorization techniques. Results: 403 medical documents were relevant to 41 different diseases and the average number of documents per diagnosis was 9.83 (standard deviation=3.46). The classification precisions for three vectorization techniques were 0.78 (TF-IDF), 0.87 (LSA) and 0.79 (Word2Vec). There was a statistically significant difference among three vectorization techniques. Conclusions: The results suggest that removing irrelevant information (LSA) is more efficient vectorization technique than modifying weights of vectorization models (TF-IDF, Word2Vec) for medical documents classification.

Support Vector Machine (SVM) is a well-known machine learning classification algorithm, which has been widely applied to many data mining problems, with good accuracy. However, SVM classification speed decreases with increase in dataset size. Some applications, like video surveillance and intrusion detection, requires a classifier to be trained very quickly, and on large datasets. Hence, this paper introduces two filter-based instance selection techniques for optimizing SVM training speed. Fast classification is often achieved at the expense of classification accuracy, and some applications, such as phishing and spam email classifiers, are very sensitive to slight drop in classification accuracy. Hence, this paper also introduces two wrapper-based instance selection techniques for improving SVM predictive accuracy and training speed. The wrapper and filter based techniques are inspired by Cuckoo Search Algorithm and Bat Algorithm. The proposed techniques are validated on three popular e-fraud types: credit card fraud, spam email and phishing email. In addition, the proposed techniques are validated on 20 other datasets provided by UCI data repository. Moreover, statistical analysis is performed and experimental results reveals that the filter-based and wrapper-based techniques significantly improved SVM classification speed. Also, results reveal that the wrapper-based techniques improved SVM predictive accuracy in most cases.

The selection and recommendation of a suitable job applicant from the pool of thousands of applications are often daunting jobs for an employer. The recommendation and selection process significantly increases the workload of the concerned department of an employer. Thus, Resume Classification System using the Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques could automate this tedious process and ease the job of an employer. Moreover, the automation of this process can significantly expedite and transparent the applicants' selection process with mere human involvement. Nevertheless, various Machine Learning approaches have been proposed to develop Resume Classification Systems. However, this study presents an automated NLP and ML-based system that classifies the Resumes according to job categories with performance guarantees. This study employs various ML algorithms and NLP techniques to measure the accuracy of Resume Classification Systems and proposes a solution with better accuracy and reliability in different settings. To demonstrate the significance of NLP & ML techniques for processing & classification of Resumes, the extracted features were tested on nine machine learning models Support Vector Machine - SVM (Linear, SGD, SVC & NuSVC), Naïve Bayes (Bernoulli, Multinomial & Gaussian), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and Logistic Regression (LR). The Term-Frequency Inverse Document (TF-IDF) feature representation scheme proven suitable for Resume Classification Task. The developed models were evaluated using F-ScoreM, RecallM, PrecissionM, and overall Accuracy. The experimental results indicate that using the One-Vs-Rest-Classification strategy for this multi-class Resume Classification task, the SVM class of Machine Learning algorithms performed better on the study dataset with over 96% overall accuracy. The promising results suggest that NLP & ML techniques employed in this study could be used for the Resume Classification task.

Nowadays the deadly virus famous as COVID-19 spread all over the world starts from the Wuhan China in 2019. This disease COVID-19 Virus effect millions of people in very short time. There are so many symptoms of COVID19 perhaps the Identification of a person infected with COVID-19 virus is really a difficult task. Moreover it's a challenging task to identify whether a person or individual have covid test positive or negative. We are developing a framework in which we used machine learning techniques..The proposed method uses DecisionTree, KNearestNeighbors, GaussianNB, LogisticRegression, BernoulliNB , RandomForest , Machine Learning methods as the classifier for diagnosis of covid ,however, 5-fold and 10-fold cross-validations were applied through the classification process. The experimental results showed that the best accuracy obtained from Decision Tree classifiers. The data preprocessing techniques have been applied for improving the classification performance. Recall, accuracy, precision, and F-score metrics were used to evaluate the classification performance. In future we will improve model accuracy more than we achieved now that is 93 percent by applying different techniques
With cyberattack techniques on the rise, there have been increasing developments in the detection techniques that defend against such attacks. However, cyber attackers are now developing fileless malware to bypass existing detection techniques. To combat this trend, security vendors are publishing analysis reports to help manage and better understand fileless malware. However, only fragmentary analysis reports for specific fileless cyberattacks exist, and there have been no comprehensive analyses on the variety of fileless cyberattacks that can be encountered. In this study, we analyze 10 selected cyberattacks that have occurred over the past five years in which fileless techniques were utilized. We also propose a methodology for classification based on the attack techniques and characteristics used in fileless cyberattacks. Finally, we describe how the response time can be improved during a fileless attack using our quick and effective classification technique.
Nowadays, interests in land cover classification using not only multi-sensor images but also thematic GIS information are increasing. Often, although useful GIS information for the classification is available, the traditional MLE (maximum likelihood estimation techniques) does not allow us to use the information, due to the fact that it cannot handle the GIS data properly. This paper propose two extended MLE algorithms that can integrate both remote sensing images and GIS thematic data for land-cover classification. They include modified MLE and Bayesian predictive likelihood estimation technique (BPLE) techniques that can handle both categorical GIS thematic data and remote sensing images in an integrated manner. The proposed algorithms were evaluated through supervised land-cover classification with Landsat ETM+ images and an existing land-use map in the Gongju area, Korea. As a result, the proposed method showed considerable improvements in classification accuracy, when compared with other multi-spectral classification techniques. The integration of remote sensing images and the land-use map showed that overall accuracy indicated an improvement in classification accuracy of 10.8% when using MLE, and 9.6% for the BPLE. The case study also showed that the proposed algorithms enable the extraction of the area with land-cover change. In conclusion, land cover classification results produced through the integration of various GIS spatial data and multi-spectral images, will be useful to involve complementary data to make more accurate decisions.

Principal component analysis (PCA) was used to improve image classification by the unsupervised classification techniques, the K-means. To do this, I selected a Landsat TM scene of Jeju Island, Korea and proposed two methods for PCA: unstandardized PCA (UPCA) and standardized PCA (SPCA). The estimated accuracy of the image classification of Jeju area was computed by error matrix. The error matrix was derived from three unsupervised classification methods. Error matrices indicated that classifications done on the first three principal components for UPCA and SPCA of the scene were more accurate than those done on the seven bands of TM data and that also the results of UPCA and SPCA were better than those of the raw Landsat TM data. The classification of TM data by the K-means algorithm was particularly poor at distinguishing different land covers on the island. From the classification results, we also found that the principal component based classifications had characteristics independent of the unsupervised techniques (numerical algorithms) while the TM data based classifications were very dependent upon the techniques. This means that PCA data has uniform characteristics for image classification that are less affected by choice of classification scheme. In the results, we also found that UPCA results are better than SPCA since UPCA has wider range of digital number of an image.
All Fault Detection and Diagnosis(FDD) methods utilize classification techniques. The objective of this study was to demonstrate the application of classification techniques to the problem of diagnosing faults in data generated by a variable-air-volume(VAV) air-handling unit(AHU) simulation model and to describe the characteristics of the techniques considered. Artificial neural network classifier and fuzzy clustering classifier were considered for fault diagnostics.

Optical sensor-based land cover categories produce spectral signature confusion along with degraded classification accuracy. In the classification tasks, the goal of fusing data from different sensors is to reduce the classification error rate obtained by single source classification. This paper describes the result of land cover/land use classification derived from solely of Landsat TM (TM) and multisensor image fusion between JERS 1 SAR (JERS) and TM data. The best radar data manipulation is fused with TM through various techniques. Classification results are relatively good. The highest Kappa Coefficient is derived from classification using principal component analysis-high pass filtering (PCA+HPF) technique with the Overall Accuracy significantly high.
