  • The toilet in school building is one of most crucial elements for the recent changing face in school design, but the number of toilets and urinals in most school may not be sufficient to meet current needs, especially in the girl's toilet rooms. This study aims to suggest a guideline in designing the toilet in school buildings and propose the optimum area and development of models. The survey for this study is conducted through questionnaires collected and research from 9 schools in Seoul. The results of this study, it is suggested that the number of toilet facilities in school buildings be required by ratio of 0.5 toilets per a class and 1.1 urinal per a class for boy. In case of girls, it is suggested that ratio of 1.6 toilets per a class. Based on the result, it also propose various unit plans for each class block with space such as rest zone, green zone, powder zone etc.

  • This study aims to find out any effect of a POE model in the earth science unit of middle school(POE: prediction-observation-explanation). So this report compared and analyzed the effect that POE class and teacher-oriented class have on the level of learner science process skill and science academic achievement. Two groups, which were composed of 66 students and 64 students of middle school 2rd grade in Gyeongsangnamdo for this study, respectively, were selected as an experimental group and a comparative group. Through the pretest, the level of learner science process skill and science academic achievement were investigated. And learner science process skill and science academic achievement was verified with t-test. The findings of the study are as follows: First, as a result of analyzing the pre-test and the post-test for finding out the effect of class offering the POE model on learner science process skill, the class offering the POE model was shown effective for improving learner science process skill. However, the POE class was found significantly effective for improving the sub-factors of operationally defining, designing investigations, graphing and interpreting data, but not effective for identifying and stating hypothesis, identifying variables. Second, as a result of analyzing the pre-test and the post-test for finding out the effect of class offering the POE model on learner science academic achievement the class offering the POE model was shown effective for learner science academic achievement.

  • Let A(p, k) (p, k$\in$N) be the class of functions f(z) = $z^{p}$ + $a_{p+k}$ $z^{p+k}$+… analytic in the unit disk. We introduce a subclass H(p, k, λ, $\delta$, A, B) of A(p, k) by using the Ruscheweyh derivative. The object of the present paper is to show some properties of functions in the class H(p, k, λ, $\delta$, A, B). B).

  • Let $textsc{k}$$F_{q}$(T) be a rational function field. Let $\ell$ be a prime number with ($\ell$, q-1) = 1. Let K/$textsc{k}$ be an elmentary abelian $\ell$-extension which is contained in some cyclotomic function field. In this paper, we study the $\ell$-divisibility of ideal class number $h_{K}$ of K by using cyclotomic units.s.s.

  • In the present paper, we investigate the upper bounds on third order Hankel determinants for certain class of close-to-convex functions in the unit disk. Furthermore, we obtain estimates of the Zalcman coefficient functional for this class.

  • Currently under development is an airborne auxiliary power unit with 100 Kw equivalent power, which is composed of a centrifugal compressor, a reverse annular combustor, and a radial turbine. Air-foil bearings are used in this power unit to eliminate the oil supplying system, which can reduce the system complexity and weight. The high speed generator is adopted as an electric power generation and engine starting system, which can also eliminate the reduction gear system. Not only electric power but also pneumatic power is provided by bleeding the compressed air This power unit is aimed for the multi-purpose use such as a primary power unit In the army weapon system, an auxiliary power and environmental control unit in a next-generation tank, and a smoke generating unit.

  • The preliminary design optimization of multi-stage spur gear reduction units has been a subject of considerable interest, since many high-performance power transmission applications (e.g., automotive and aerospace) require high-performance gear reduction units. There are multiple objectives in the optimal design of multi-stage spur gear reduction unit, such as minimizing the volume and maximizing the surface fatigue life. It is reasonable to formulate the design of spur gear reduction unit as a multi-objective optimization problem, and find an appropriate approach to solve it. In this paper an interactive physical programming approach is developed to place physical programming into an interactive framework in a natural way. Class functions, which are used to represent the designer's preferences on design objectives, are fixed during the interactive physical programming procedure. After a Pareto solution is generated, a preference offset is added into the class function of each objective based on whether the designer would like to improve this objective or sacrifice the objective so as to improve other objectives. The preference offsets are adjusted during the interactive physical programming procedure, and an optimal solution that satisfies the designer's preferences is supposed to be obtained by the end of the procedure. An optimization problem of three-stage spur gear reduction unit is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

  • This study aims at revealing important utilization planning by surveying and analyzing unused classrooms in primary school's facilities. That is various and positive utilization planning of unused classrooms in order to cope with the changes of educational environment focused on high and multi-functionization, rather qualitative aspect than quantitative. By field-survey and interview, physical and environmental factors such as, the change procedure of students, unused facilities in schools and improvement affairs and purpose stressed by schools were surveyed. Additionally, the way of educational facilities to future society linked with residents was examined by surveying about the relationship between educational facilities and regional communities. The curriculums and "School facilities standard ordinance" have been revised in part by several times individually and couldn't meet with educational facilities, educational and social change positively. In rural area, to apply the standard of the capacity by a class with 40 students like city is not desirable. To make educational environment better qualitatively, the capacity should be reduced by 30 students and the unit square per a student enlarged by $2.4m^2$. By room unit module "school institution and managerial regulations under high school" should be applied distinctively to break down like 6, 7~12, 13~24 and over 25 classes. So re-institution of the capacity by a class and the standard unit of the number of class by scale is needed.
