  • 현재 몇 가지의 제품으로 시장에 출시되어 가정에 조금씩 보급되기 시작한 홈 서비스 로봇은 각각의 제품이 청소, 도난방지 감시, 애완용 등의 특정한 기능을 가지고 가정에서 쉽게 사용 할 수 있도록 날로 발전을 더해가고 있다. 그러나 이러한 현재의 로봇들은 대부분 탑재된 기능과 인공지능이 결합하여 스스로 동작하는 자동화 로봇의 특징만을 지니고 있을 뿐이다. 홈 서비스 로봇의 정의에 충실한 사용자와의 커뮤니케이션의 기능은 거의 전무 하며, UI를 이용한 사용자 인터페이스의 환경에 의존할 뿐이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 현재 홈서비스의 로봇의 한계성을 극복하고, 저렴하며 활용성이 높은 새로운 홈서비스 로봇의 모델을 제시한다.

  • PSP를 이용한 의자로봇 시스템은 거동이 불편한 노약자의 이동을 돕기 위하여 제작된 지능형 이동로봇이다. 원하는 곳으로 이동이 가능한 지능형 로봇은 안정적인 움직임을 위해 실시간 장애물 회피 및 적절한 경로 계획이 필요하다. 본 논문에서 구현한 의자로봇은 IR센서와 초음파 센서를 이용하여 환경 정보를 얻어오고, 환경 지도 작성 및 경로 계획을 통해 목표 지점으로 이동하도록 하였다. 또 구동부의 부드러운 움직임을 위하여 PID제어기를 사용하였다. 서비스 로봇은 개발에 용이하고 사용자가 쉽게 제어 할 수 있는 인터페이스 장치가 필요하다. PSP는 여러 개의 버튼을 가졌고, 디스플레이를 위한 LCD 있다. 또 무선랜 환경에서 사용할 수 있기 때문에 PSP를 이용한 제어 방법을 구현하였다. PSP를 이용한 제어 방법에는 두 가지 모드가 존재하는데 하나는 의자 로봇의 지능을 이용한 이동방법이고 또 하나는 사용자가 직접 제어하는 방법이다. 위의 두 가지 방법으로 실내 환경에서 주행 테스트를 했으며, 성공적으로 동작함을 확인하였다.

  • PTT[Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)] fibers was annealed by passing on the plate heater to illuminate the effects of annealing on the alkaline hydrolysis behavior properties with varying the treatment temperature for 0.5 second. The L010 and crystallinity were increased with increases in temperature. With the increases of the temperature, the dynamic viscoelastic behaviors were analyzed to be reduction in $T_{max}(tan\;\delta)$. The weight loss in alkaline solution was two times more rapid for the PTT annealed at $200^\circ{C}$ than the control samples. The kinetics of hydrolysis was confirmed that the hydrolysis of the PTT fibers in the alkaline solution was started from the surface of the fibers and selective to the amorphous region in continuation, on the basis of the results of the increase in crystallinity and the decrease in dye uptake at the initial stage of the hydrolysis.

Efficacy of the Disappearance of Lateral Spread Response before and after Microvascular Decompression for Predicting the Long-Term Results of Hemifacial Spasm Over Two Years

  • Objective : The purpose of this large prospective study is to assess the association between the disappearance of the lateral spread response (LSR) before and after microvascular decompression (MVD) and clinical long term results over two years following hemifacial spasm (HFS) treatment. Methods : Continuous intra-operative monitoring during MVD was performed in 244 consecutive patients with HFS. Patients with persistent LSR after decompression (n=22, 9.0%), without LSR from the start of the surgery (n=4, 1.7%), and with re-operation (n=15, 6.1%) and follow-up loss (n=4, 1.7%) were excluded. For the statistical analysis, patients were categorized into two groups according to the disappearance of their LSR before or after MVD. Results : Intra-operatively, the LSR was checked during facial electromyogram monitoring in 199 (81.5%) of the 244 patients. The mean follow-up duration was $40.9{\pm}6.9$ months (range 25-51 months) in all the patients. Among them, the LSR disappeared after the decompression (Group A) in 128 (64.3%) patients; but in the remaining 71 (35.6%) patients, the LSR disappeared before the decompression (Group B). In the post-operative follow-up visits over more than one year, there were significant differences between the clinical outcomes of the two groups (p<0.05). Conclusion : It was observed that the long-term clinical outcomes of the intra-operative LSR disappearance before and after MVD were correlated. Thus, this factor may be considered a prognostic factor of HFS after MVD.

  • One of display trends today is development of high pixel density. To get high PPI, a small size of pixel must be developed. RGB pixel is arranged by evaporation process which determines pixel size. Normally, a fine metal mask (FMM; Invar alloy) has been used for evaporation process and it has advantages such as good strength, and low thermal expansion coefficient at low temperature. A FMM has been manufactured by chemical etching which has limitation to controlling the pattern shape and size. One of alternative method for patterning FMM is laser micromachining. Femtosecond laser is normally considered to improve those disadvantages for laser micromachining process due to such short pulse duration. In this paper, a femtosecond laser drilling for thickness of 16 ㎛ FMM is examined. Additionally, we introduce experimental results for controlling taper angle of hole by vibration module adapted in laser system. We used Ti:Sapphire based femtosecond laser with attenuating optics, co-axial illumination, vision system, 3-axis linear stage and vibration module. By controlling vibration amplitude, entrance and exit diameters are controllable. Using vibrating objective lens, we can control taper angle when femtosecond laser hole drilling by moving focusing point. The larger amplitude of vibration we control, the smaller taper angle will be carried out.

Preparation and Characterization of Poly(styrenesulfonic acid)-grafted Fluoropolymer Membrane for Direct Methanol Fuel Cell

  • A proton exchange membrane was prepared by ${\gamma}-irradiation-induced$ grafting of styrene into poly(tetrafluoro-ethylene-co-perfluoropropyl vinyl ether) (PFA) and subsequent sulfonation reaction. The degree of grafting (DOG) increased with an increase in the absorbed dose. The prepared membranes showed high ion exchange capacity reaching 3.0 meq/g, which exceeded the performance of commercially available perfluorosulfonic acid membranes such as Nafion. The proton conductivity of PFA-g-PSSA membrane increased with the DOG and reached 0.17 S/cm for the highest sample at room temperature. The DMFC performance of the prepared membranes with 50% DOG was comparable to that of Nafion membrane.

  • This study aims to suggest a methodology for developing the AR-4D CAD system which can improve construction progress control process by using augmented reality(AR) technology for civil engineering project. This study reviews practical application of AR process in 4D CAB system and suggests the detailed requirements, information flow system and integrated interface function for developing AR-4D CAD system. Through these methods, this research classifies main functions of AR-4D CAD system that can visualize construction progress control data, and suggests an operation scenarios of the system.

  • 본 논문은 눈의 무게에 따른 압력센서의 전압변화를 이용하여 모터 구동 제어 및 제설이 가능한 방법을 제안하였다. 자동 제설 장치는 눈의 무게에 따른 압력 센서의 전압변화를 MCU의 내부 ADC를 이용하여 센서의 아날로그 값을 디지털 값으로 변환 한다. 변환한 디지털 값을 이용하여 MCU에서 무게를 판단하고, 그에 따라 모터의 구동을 제어 하게 된다. MCU의 무게 판단은 압력 센서에 가해지는 무게에 따라 변하는 압력센서의 가변저항 특성을 이용하게 되며, 직렬 저항 회로를 구성하여 압력센서의 전압 변화의 값을 ADC의 입력으로 주게 된다. 입력된 아날로그 값을 ADC로 디지털 값으로 변환하게 된다. 변환된 디지털 값을 MCU에서 판단하게 되며, 판단의 결과로 모터의 구동을 제어하게 된다. 즉, 이러한 시스템을 통하여 비닐하우스의 지붕의 눈을 실시간으로 자동 제설하게 된다.

  • Standard positive photoresist techniques were adapted to generate nano-scale patterns of gold substrate using self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) and femtosecond laser. SAMs formed by the adsorption of alkanethiols onto gold substrate are employed as very thin photoresists, Alkanethiolates formed by the adsorption of alkanethiols are oxidized on exposure to UV light in the presence of air to alkylsulfonates. Specifically, it is known that deep UV light of wavelength less than 200nm is necessary for oxidation to occur. In this study, ultrafast laser of wavelength 800nm and pulse width 200fs is applied for photolithography. Results show that ultrafast laser of visible range wavelength can replace deep UV laser source for photo patterning using thin organic films. Femtosecond laser coupled near-field scanning optical microscopy facilitates not only the patterning of surface chemical structure, but also the creation of three-dimensional nano-scale structures by combination with suitable etching methods.

  • Process design of hot forging, asymmetric to symmetric rib-web shape steel, which is used for the turnout of railway express has been investigated. Owing to the big difference in shape between the initial billet and the final forged product, it is impossible to hot forge the rail in a single step. Therefore, multi step forging as well as die design for each step are necessary for the production. The deformation behavior during hot forging has been analyzed by the numerical simulation through commercial FEA software, $DEFORM^{TM}$-2D. Modification of the design and repeated simulation have been carried out on the basis of the simulation result. For comparison with the simulation results. flow analysis experiment using plasticine has been also carried out. The results of the flow analysis experiment showed good agreement with those of the simulation. Therefore, the developed process design could be applied to the actual production.
