  • The crack of concrete is one of the most important factors to evaluate the safety of the structures. The more important point for the safety-evaluation of the concrete structures is to check the crack development, the conventional window paper (Chang Ho Ji) have been used as a simple method in the past, and nowadays the strain gauge is used for more correct way to check the development of the concrete crack quantitatively. However the window-paper method is too simple and not so scientific, and the strain-gauge method is rather complicated for people in general. This Easy-Check Sensor provides the simple usage for the various concrete structures, but also the more correct results to evaluate the development of the concrete crack.

센서를 이용한 선로전환기 전환력 측정의 현장 적용성 연구 (A Study on the Field Application of Switching Power Measurement by using Sensor in Electrical Point Machine)

  • Most equipments which are used to measure the switching power of the turnout depend on imports. As the data is limited to the measurements of the switching power, it is said that the equipment is insufficient to check the errors of the turnout and the electrical point machine, and set up the data for operating and maintenance. We studied not only measurements of the switching power of all turnout being used in domestic but also the development of the turnout performance total analysis equipment which can measure switching time, voltage, and current etc. at the same time. Considering that switching power of the turnout is the most basic element to check the irregularities of the turnout, in this paper, we analyzed the irregularities of the turnout through correlation between switching power of the turnout, voltage, and current of the electrical point machine. Also we performed test in commercial railway line where the turnout of MJ81 type and NS type was installed. And it is said that the test results can be used as basic technologies for ICT based real-time diagnosis and monitoring of the turnout.

  • 철도 레일의 선로 변경을 위해 사용되는 분기기의 제어를 담당하는 전기선로전환기는 철도시스템 중에서 매우 중요하게 관리되고 있다. 선로전환기의 상태를 확인하기 위해 다양한 유무선 실시간 모니터링 시스템이 사용되고 있으나 센서 또는 네트워크 오류 등으로 인한 오작동 가능성이 존재하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 선로전환기 작동상태를 이중으로 확인하기 위하여 선로전환감시시스템과 CCTV카메라 관제 시스템이 통합된 이중화 감시시스템을 설계하였다. 선로전환감시시스템에서는 전로전환기의 작동상태를 감시, 경보 그리고 네트워크를 통해 전송한다. 그리고 이 정보를 전달받은 CCTV카메라 관제시스템에서는 해당 선로전환기와 분기기의 상태를 촬영하여 관리자에게 전송하도록 하였다. 선로 관리자는 선로전환기용 모니터링 화면을 통해 선로 전환상태를 1차적으로 확인하고 이어서 CCTV카메라 영상을 통해 전환상태를 직접 확인함으로써 선로전환기의 작동에 대한 신뢰성을 향상 시킬 수 있다. 또한 관리를 위한 인력 운용을 안전하고 효율적으로 수행할 수 있게 된다. 이를 통해 선로전환기의 오작동으로 인해 선로 분기기에서 발생되는 선로 이탈사고 예방에 기여될 것으로 기대된다.

  • Objective : This study is to examine the interrelationship between Infertility with hypothalamic-pituitary gland disorders and Face temperature by D.I.T.I. Methods : Sample group is the 50 women who were diagnosed as P.C.O.S. or FSH,LH trouble or hyper-prolactinemia or anovulation or oligo-ovulation. Control group is the 50 women who have not P.C.O.S. & FSH.LH trouble & hyper-prolactinemia & anovulation or oligo-ovulation, who have normal menstural cycle and success in pregnancy after treatment. Both group came at Conmaul Oriental Hospital Infertility Center, Seoul, Korea, from May, 2001 to Jan., 2003. They selected at random. We checked temperature of ${\ulcorner}S17{\lrcorner}\;{\ulcorner}SI18{\lrcorner}\;{\ulcorner}TE17{\lrcorner}\;{\ulcorner}HN-3{\lrcorner}$ and gained differences of Rt. check point and Lt. check point, and then compared mean ${\Delta}T$ of sample group with that of control group. Conclusion : We gained results that mean ${\Delta}T$ of sample group is larger than that of control group at all check points. (p=0.000)

  • As the sensors and communication technology get advance, the remote health diagnosis for patients and senior persons at home are possible now without visiting doctors in hospitals. A low-power ubiquitous health check device was developed adapting Real-Time Embedded Linux is developed. This ubiquitous device is consisted of three sensors. The wrist type health checking terminal acquires periodically the health data by using a blood pressure sensor, a pulse sensor and a body temperature sensor. It transmits the health data to the access point located at the home center through the ZigBee wireless communication modem. This health data collector or access point device sends the data again to the main server operated in a hospital or health care organization. The health server control continuously the input data and sends an alarm signal to the assigned. doctor and responsible persons using cellular SMS when any dangerous events occur. This wrist type health check device has an embedded linux OS using Intel PAX255 MPU. The developed U-Health system is applicable for checking patients health in remote at home. And their family or related persons in remote site can check the patients health status at any time. They can be assured by receiving SMS record and alarm of emergency case which is transmitted from the health server.

  • In this paper, a new Ekeland type variational principle on gauge spaces is established. As applications, we give Caristi-Kirk type fixed point theorems on gauge spaces, and Dane$\check{s}$' drop theorem on seminormed spaces. Also, we show that the Palais-Smale condition implies coercivity on semi-normed spaces.

  • This paper presents an efficient reengineering technique for the logistics process innovation which is the foundation of supply-chain management. Based on consulting experience on the domestic manufacturing firms, this paper provides promotion step for logistics innovation and six reengineering points including check system for customer's credit limit, check system of real-time inventory information, automatic system for sequential production plan, automatic order-release system, automatic packing system, and happy-call system for order-forward information. For each reengineering point, application cases in domestic industry are also presented.

  • Eum Sik Check is a cooking book written in old Korean by a woman called Dan Yang Daek. In this study, the contents of the book are interpreted in modern Korean, and are analyzed, compared, and examined in the point of view of cooking. The book shows 1) the methods of the setting of a large table, of a table for ancestor-memorial services, of decorative seasonings, 2) 11 methods for making rice cakes, 3) 21 methods for side dishes, and 4) 7 methods for berwing rice wine.

Identification of Patients with Microscopic Hematuria who are at Greater Risk for the Presence of Bladder Tumors Using a Dedicated Questionnaire and Point of Care Urine Test - A Study by the Members of Association of Urooncology, Turkey

  • In patients with microscopic hematuria there is a need for better identification of those who are at greater risk of harbouring bladder tumors. The RisikoCheck(C) questionnaire has a strong correlation with the presence of urothelial carcinoma (UC) of the bladder and in combination with other available tests may help identify patients who require detailed clinical investigations due to increased risk of presence of bladder tumors. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of RisikoCheck(C) questionnaire together with NMP-22(R) (BladderChek(R)) as a point-of-care urine test in predicting the presence of bladder tumors in patients presenting with microscopic hematuria as the sole finding. In this multi-institutional prospective evaluation of 303 consecutive patients without a history of urothelial carcinoma (UC), RisikoCheck(C) risk group assessment, urinary tract imaging and cystourethroscopy as well as urine cytology and Nuclear Matrix Protein-22 (NMP-22 BladderChek) testing were performed where available. The sensitivity, specificity, negative predictive value (NPV), and positive predictive values (PPV) for the risk adapted approach were calculated. All patients underwent cystoscopy, and tumors were detected in 18 (5.9%). Urine cytology and NMP-22 was positive for malignancy in 9 (3.2%) and 12 (7.5%) of patients, respectively. A total of 43 (14%) patients were in the high risk group according to the RisikoCheck(C) questionnaire. The sensitivity and specificity of the questionnaire in detecting a bladder tumor was 61.5 % and 84.0 % in the high risk group. In patients with either a positive NMP-22 test or high risk category RisikoCheck(C), 23.6% had bladder tumors with a corresponding sensitivity of 54.2% and specificity of 88.6%. If both tests were negative only 3.3% of the patients had bladder tumors. The results of our study suggest that the efficacy of diagnostic evaluation of patients with microscopic hematuria may be further enhanced by combining RisikoCheck(C) questionnaire with NMP-22.

총 IgE의 신속한 정량 측정을 위한 ImmuneCheck IgE의 임상적 유용성 (Clinical validation of ImmuneCheck IgE for the rapid detection of serum total IgE)

  • Purpose: Conventional serum IgE assay was costly, required the skills of expert, and relied heavily on expensive equipment. Quantitative measurement of total IgE using Point of Care Test (POCT) device can be the solution for these limitations. This study evaluated and validated the reproducibility of ImmuneCheck IgE. Methods: This study included 120 patients of allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, drug allergy, food allergy, atopic dermatitis, or anaphylaxis. The reliability of POCT ImmuneCheck IgE was evaluated by comparing results from the naked eye and from the Q-Reader. Intratest reproducibility and intertest correlation were analyzed using intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). Results: Of the 120 enrolled patients, 51 were males and 69 were females. The ages ranged from 19 to 84 years, with an average age of 51.5 years. The concentration of serum total IgE measured by Phadia ImmunoCAP IgE ranged from 5.95 to 5,000 IU/mL. ICC for Intratest reproducibility of ImmuneCheck IgE by naked eye and by Q-Reader were 0.991 (P< 0.001) and 0.989 (P< 0.001), respectively. In addition, intertest correlation between ImmuneCheck IgE and Phadia ImmunoCAP IgE results of naked eye and Q-Reader were 0.968 (P< 0.001) and 0.948 (P< 0.001), respectively. Conclusion: The ImmuneCheck IgE was reproducible and highly correlated with conventional Phadia ImmunoCAP IgE assay. This result suggests that ImmuneCheck IgE can be a useful tool for rapid and precise detection of total IgE.
