자동변속기 클러치 시스템의 동특성 해석 (Dynamic Characteristics of Clutch System for an Automatic Transmission)

  • In this paper, dynamic characteristics of an AT clutch system were investigated considering the dynamics of check ball and hydraulic control valves. Dynamic model of a pressure control solenoid valve (PCSV) was obtained by Bondgraph and permeance method. Also, the clutch piston and check ball dynamics were modeled by considering the effect of centrifugal force of the oil entrapped in the clutch chamber. In order to validate the dynamic models obtained, plunger displacement of PCSV and pressure response of the clutch supply lines were compared with the available experimental data, which were in good accordance with the numerical results. Using the dynamic model of the clutch system, simulations were performed to investigate the effect of the rotational speed on the response of clutch cylinder pressure, clutch piston and check ball displacement, and oil flow rate into the cylinder and flow rate out of the check valve.

  • As vehicles are recently becoming more important in our life, the study for engine capacity has been conducted for many years. Specially, the study on lubrication in the engine is needed to develop engine capacity. The role of lubrication is to reduce fraction, manage the temperature and protect from corrosion etc. At the view point of the engine, lubrication and cooling of the engine have an effect on the life and efficiency, so we have to study this problem. Ball check valve is located in the inlet of the Oil Jet. Ball check valve is used to control the flow rate of the engine oil, which cools and lubricates the engine. Flow rate at the oil jet is very important, so the study for this problem is needed to conduct researches. The point of this study is to compute the flow rate and the flow in oil jet. The results of this study is that the mass flow rate is satisfied with the research which is obtained at the experiment.

주택용 가스배관 체크앵글 안전밸브 개발 연구 (Development of Check Angle Safety Valve for Residential Gas Piping)

  • 본 연구는 주택용 가스배관 체크앵글 안전밸브에 관한 것으로 긴급 발생시 1초 이내에 수동으로 차단이 가능하고, 또 손의 힘으로 가압 3kg에 터치가 가능 하도록 하고, 또 긴급시 차단 작동 후 차단 볼 지름이 7mm로 번복 사용이 가능하도록 기술 개발 하였다. 연구결과 첫째 밸브 작동 후. 평균 0.61 초로 나타났다. 따라서 안전밸브로서 사용하여도 작동에는 문제가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 손의 힘으로 가압 3kg이내 터치에 모두 작동 되었다. 셋째, 차단 볼 지름이 7mm로 번복 사용한 결과 모두 이상 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 가스배관 체크앵글 안전밸브를 개발하고 기존 밸브와의 시험을 통하여 성능을 검증한 것에 의미가 있다.

  • The operating characteristics of the check valve in the clutch piston of an automatic transmission have a great effect on the shifting performance. This paper addresses the modeling, dynamic analysis, and optimization of the check valve. It was found that the vortex causes a pressure drop, which is related to the rotating speed of the clutch piston, oil volume discharged from the check valve, and valve geometry. Maximizing the oil volume discharged, geometry of the check valve is optimized. The results can be used to design an improved check valve which provides a suitable oil pressure curves for achieving smoother shifting.

Optimal Ball-end and Fillet-end Mills Selection for 3-Axis Finish Machining of Point-based Surface

  • This paper presents an algorithm of optimal cutting tool selection for machining of the point-based surface that is defined by a set of surface points rather than parametric polynomial surface equations. As the ball-end and fillet-end mills are generally used for finish machining in a 3-axis computer numerical control machine, the algorithm is applicable for both cutters. The optimum tool would be as large as possible in terms of the cutter radius and/or corner radius which maximise (s) the material removal rate (i.e., minimise (s) the machining time), while still being able to machine the entire point-based surface without gouging any surface point. The gouging are two types: local and global. In this paper, the distance between the cutter bottom and surface points is used to check the local gouging whereas the shortest distance between the surface points and cutter axis is effectively used to check the global gouging. The selection procedure begins with a cutter from the tool library, which has the largest cutter radius and/or corner radius, and then adequacy of the point-density is checked to limit the accuracy of the cutter selection for the point-based surface within tolerance prior to the gouge checking. When the entire surface is gouge-free with a chosen cutting tool then the tool becomes the optimum cutting tool for a list of cutters available in the tool library. The effectiveness of the algorithm is demonstrated considering two examples.

미소유체 이송용 압전펌프를 위한 시트형 체크밸브의 동특성에 관한 연구 (A study on dynamic characteristics of sheet type check valves in PZT pump for small liquid delivery)

  • In precision machinery systems for medical and chemical applications, micropumps with a low pulsation have been demanded and investigated for accurate delivery of a small amount of liquid. This study proposes sheet type check valves instead of ball type check valves for PZT pumps and performs some tests on dynamics characteristics of check valves having different design parameter with variable frequency. The selected materials of check valves is NBR, PP film, Polyimide and Stainless steel(SUS304). In the experiment, dynamic characteristics of stainless steel thin plate have better performance than others.

  • 연직배수재로의 대체재로 풍쇄전로슬래그의 적용가능성을 판단하기 위해서는 현장시공을 통해 배수효과를 확인하는 것이 필요하다. 그러나 성공적인 설계를 위해서는 현장시공 전에 발생가능한 문제점들을 미리 예측하는 것이 중요하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 현장시공 전 다양한 조건에서 발생가능한 문제점들을 분석하기 위해 실내모형실험을 실시하였다. 실내모형실험은 연직배수재로 풍쇄전로슬래, 모래+풍쇄전로슬래그, 팩슬래그, 모래 총 4경우에 대해 실험을 수행하였으며, 실내모형실험결과를 바탕으로 현장시험시공을 실시하여 분석하였다. 실내모형실험과 현장시험시공을 통해 연직배수재용 모래대용으로 풍쇄전로슬래그가 사용가능한 것으로 판단되었다.

수소 충전소용 초고압 볼밸브 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design of Ultra-High-Pressure Ball Valve for Hydrogen Station)

  • Hydrogen energy is the clean energy source of the future. Ultra-high-pressure hydrogen is used in hydrogen stations, with its parts being developed. On the other hand, ultra-high-pressure ball valve, which is one of its parts, depends on overseas, with the level of domestic research on this being only about 10% of advanced technology research on this abroad. In this study, the shape of an ultra-high-pressure ball valve for a hydrogen station was designed to improve its structural strength. The valve body was designed according to distance between both processed body holes along inlet and outlet ports. The designed vale body was then analyzed using ANSYS to check whether points with stress were concentrated. In addition, the valve with improved body was analyzed to confirm that the valve satisfied the design condition.

PFA 라이닝 볼밸브의 헬륨누설 검출 및 비산배출에 관한 연구 (Study on the Fugitive Emissions of a PFA Lined Ball Valve through Helium Leak Detection)

  • A PFA lined ball valve, which is machined with fluorinated resin PFA to its inner part for improving corrosion resistance, non-stickness, heat-resistance, has been widely used to the chemical/pharmaceutical industries, the semiconductor/LCD manufacturing processes, etc. with the high purity chemicals as working fluid. EPA stated that 60% of all fugitive emissions come from the valve stem packing in a typical petroleum or chemical processing plant. They monitor regulated components for leaks and maintain seal performance at acceptable levels. Korean industrial standards only deals with the bubble test for in-line leakage of valves, which has the detectable leak rate of $10^{-4}$ [$mbar{\cdot}L{\cdot}s^{-1}$], therefore, it is not sufficient to check fugitive emissions. In this study, we conducted Helium leak detection from a PFA lined ball valve and evaluated fugitive emissions according to ISO 15848-1, which has the detectable leak rate of $10^{-9}$ [$mbar{\cdot}L{\cdot}s^{-1}$], for manufacturing the high-reliable PFA lined ball valves against fugitive emissions.

볼-박판 스프링 형 체크밸브가 적용된 압전유압펌프의 가압 특성 (Pressurization Characteristics of Piezoelectric-Hydraulic Pump Adopting a Ball-Thin Plate Spring Type Check Valve)

  • 본 연구에서는 소형 압전유압펌프가 적용된 브레이크 시스템의 부하압 개선을 위해 체크밸브에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 가압 과정에서 부하의 정상상태 압력은 챔버압과 부하압이 체크밸브에 작용하는 단면적 비에 영향을 받는다. 체크밸브 유로 덮개는 역류 방지를 위해 유로의 단면적보다 넓게 제작되었기 때문에 단면적 비 조절을 위해 박판 스프링 형 체크밸브에 부가질량을 부착하는 방식을 제안하였다. 부가질량 부착에 의한 부하압 개선 효과를 확인하기 위해 상용코드를 이용하여 소형 압전유압펌프가 적용된 단순 브레이크 시스템의 모델링을 수행하였다. 모델링의 검증을 위해 부가질량이 부착되지 않은 박판 스프링 형 체크밸브를 적용한 펌프의 가압 실험결과와 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교하였다. 검증된 아메심 모델링에 부가질량을 추가하였고 시뮬레이션을 통해 단면적 비 조절에 의한 고 부하압 형성 효과를 확인하였다. 부가질량 추가에 따른 소형 압전유압펌프 구성품을 새롭게 설계/제작한 후 브레이크 시스템의 가압 성능 실험을 수행하여 부하압 35% 의 성능 개선을 확인하였다.
