Tolerance Design for Multiple Performance Characteristics (다수 성능특성치의 허용차설계)

  • Toguchi method is a systematic technique for designing high quality product at low cost. There are three steps in the Toguchi method, 1)system design, 2)parameter design, and 3)tolerance design. This paper considers the tolerance design for multiple performance characteristics which is practically important. We present two tolerance design procedures : grade selection and tolerance determining procedures. In grade selection procedure a scheme is presented that minimizes the sum of the price of low-level characteristics and the expected loss due to the variations of high-level characteristics. In tolerance determining procedure we determine the tolerances of the low-level characteristics.

  • In this paper, current conveyor building block is introduced and CMOS realization of this block is given. The input-impedance characteristics, current-transfer characteristics and voltage-transfer characteristics of this proposed current conveyor circuit are given. This characteristics of the CMOS current conveyor circuit is useful of the various applications which require a wideband. Using the Spice tool, the circuit is designed and the characteristics of CMOS current conveyor circuit is considered. Finally, refer to the simple applications.

  • The purpose of this research Is to derive the principal design parameters governing the dynamic characteristics of the high response flow control servo valve. For this purpose, a numerical modeling of the servo valve system and a parameter sensitivity analysis to a frequency response characteristics was peformed. As a result of these analysis, a basis for improvement of a dynamic characteristics of servo valve was arranged.

  • Sasang constitution medicine utilizes voice characteristics to diagnose a person's constitution. To classify Sasang constitutional groups using speech information technology, this study aims at establishing the relationship between Sasang constitutional groups and their corresponding voice characteristics by investigating various speech feature variables. The speech variables include features related to speech source and vocal tract filter. Experimental results show that statistically significant correlation between voice characteristics and some speech feature variables is observed.

  • Domestic enterprises are surveyed and analyzed to find the empirical relationship between environmental characteristics and electronic commerce(EC) performance. Dynamism, hostility and heterogeneity are selected as environmental characteristics. EC performance is articulated as EC utilization, EC satisfaction and EC usefulness. Empirical test presents that dynamism has a statistically significant relationship with EC performance except EC usefulness, but hostility and heterogeneity have no statistically significant relationship with EC performance. The impact of industry type on environmental characteristics and EC performance is also tested.

  • Yacht design is significantly affected by the hull geometrical characteristics. Therefore, it is necessary to closely examine the relation between hull and performance, before considering characteristics of sea condition. In this study, Genetic Programming is used to derive a formula the relationship between hull geometric characteristics and performance. Using the formula, a new guideline is proposed to determine performance of a yacht.

  • This paper deals with underground transmission system of present and ZnO element of newly developed. in the characteristics of ZnO element of newly developed, an newly developed ZnO element compared with previous ZnO element that electrical characteristics and external characteristics. In result, characteristics of newly developed ZnO element is improved than previous one.

  • In short channel MOSFET, it is very important to establish optimal process conditions because of variation of device characteristics due to the process parameters. In this paper, we used process simulator and device characteristics caused by process parameter variation. From this simulation, it has been ' derived to the dependence relations between process parameters and device characteristics. The experimental result of fabricated short channel device according to the optimal process parameters demonstrate good device characteristics.

  • In this paper, linearized dynamic characteristics of parallel line pivoted pad thrust bearing (here-inafter refer to PLP thrust bearing) was analyzed by perturbation method with inlet pressure. Inlet pressure and excitation frequency influence dynamic characteristics of PLP thrust bearing at all operating conditions, such as angular pivot position, mass of pad. Therefore, the characteristics have to be analyzed with inlet pressure, excitation frequency, mass of pad and thickness of pad. Otherwise, the analysis may be over or under estimate.

  • The modal characteristics of rotating structures vary with the rotating speed. The material and the geometric properties of the structures as well as the rotating speed influence the variations of their modal characteristics. Very often, the modal characteristics of rotating structures need to be specified at some rotating speeds to meet their design requirements. In this paper, rotating cantilever beam is chosen as a design target structure. Optimization problems are formulated and solved to find the optimal shapes of rotating beams with rectangular cross section.
