Study on a grounded inductor simulated by the use of the operational amplifier (연산증폭기를 이용한 접지형 인덕터의 구성에 관한 연구)

  • A grounded inductor is proposed which contains only one resistor and operational amplifier. The circuit uses the inherent frequency dependent characteristic of an amplifier to simulate the inductor. A parallel resonance circuit is constructed with the proposed circuit. It has been proved by the experimental results of the resonant circuit that the proposed circuit is equivalent to the grounded lossy inductor. The lossy inductor is imbedded in a passive bandstop prototype, and the resultant characteristic curve has been verified by the experiment.

  • The characteristic of volumetric efficiency considering gas exchange process in a reciprocating engine is presented in this paper. The characteristic method is used for solving gas exchange problems of engine system in theoretical studies. The validity of the simulation is investigated by a comparison with the results obtained by the experiment which have been performed on the practical 4-cycle, 4-cylinder gasoline engine. The relationship between the volumetric efficiency and the intake pressure variation according to configuration of intake pipe, position of branch point, valve timing, compression ratio is clarified through simulation and experiment. The results predicted by the simulation are found to be in approximate agreement with those obtained by the experiment.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive design guideline for logo design development of smart clothing using flexible plastic optical fiber. In a criterion of guideline derivation for logo design, the first, it is a question of whether it indicates an appropriate degree of brightness across the front of flexible plastic optical fiber. The second, it is a question of whether it indicates relatively an uniform brightness characteristic across the front of flexible plastic optical fiber. For this, the brightness characteristic of flexible plastic optical fiber according to the angle changes and the length of flexible plastic optical fiber was analyzed by the 'Experiment 1'. To deduce guideline for the logo design of the actual garment, the brightness characteristic of flexible plastic optical fiber about the main morpheme of the capital letter of alphabet was analyzed by the 'Experiment 2'. Based on the results of the two experiment, this study derived design guideline and limitations for logo design of smart clothing visualized by the flexible plastic optical fiber.

A Study on the Wave Type and the Damage of Hair according to Water content when Heat permanent is treated - Focus on Damaged Hair -

  • The goal of this study is to provide beauticians with the fundamental material to use effectively heat permanent wave in beauty industry as well as their customer's satisfaction. It carried out an experiment with damaged hair of a woman in her late twenties to investigate the change of physical and morphological characteristics by its water content when performing heat permanent wave. After spreading 0g, 1g, 2g, 3g, and 4g of water on damaged hair respectively, heat permanent wave was treated and the change of hair was observed. The change of physical characteristic was compared through permanent wave form of hair, tensile strength and elongation. The change of morphological characteristic was observed through Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscope(TEM). The result of experiment on the physical specificity revealed that permanent wave form was the most ideal when the water content was 2g, also 3g. Though the materials with much moisture content formed the results were not satisfied. The material with 0g of water content didn't make the wave. In terms of tensile strength and elongation, tensile strength was generally reduced as per the damaged degree of hair. On the contrary, elongation was increased. It observed the changes of morphological characteristic that the damage on hair cuticle was deepen, as its moisture content was decreased, and cuticle's surface was worn away. The observation of fine structure on hair section by transmission electronic microscope also certainly showed the result that damaged hair having experience with chemical treatment had got much damaged to hair cuticle as well as hair cortex. Generally chemical treatment makes hair damaged. Under consideration of this aspect, the ultimate goal of this thesis is to minimize the damage of hair caused by chemical treatment and get the satisfaction on the hair style. According to the result of experiment, the damaged hair whose moisture content was 3g showed the best permanent wave form.

  • This paper presents the experiment and the characteristics analysis of an electromagnetic pump using linear induction motor(LIM). The characteristics of LIM pump are analyzed solving the hydrodynamic equation at constant magnetic flux. The molten zinc is used in the experiment and the experimental results are compared with the analysis.

  • In this paper, the transform coding method was selected out of image compression techniques. Each characteristic of transform coefficients for five transform(DCT, DST, WHT, HAT, SLT) was observed, and their performances were compared and reviewed, based on the results from the experiment where image samples were applied to five transform. As the result of image processing experiment, DCT was found to have the best performance.

  • The modal analysis based on deformations is the method to drived dynamic responsed from superposition of natural frequency and mode shape. In order to free vibration analysis of the structures, Aluminum-made model is used in experiment. The dynamic characteristic of the structures are determined from acceleration measurements using impulse hammer. Experimenrt input and output signal are derive from impact hammer and the one accerometer. This paper present three methods for calculating the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the structure with theory value and finite element analysis, experiment. The results were good approximated about natural frequency and mode shape.

  • The closed type sprinkler head is a component of sprinkler system for fire protection. The purpose of this study is to inverstigate the influence factors of the responsiveness of the head by heated wind tunnel experiment. As the result of this study, it was found that response time index and conduction parameter showed the same characteristic quantitative changes to head types and test methods.
