  • Purpose The beginning of innovation and creation, Haenggung-dong, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si: Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, which began in 1794 by King Jeongjo in accordance with the spirit of Beopgochangsin, mobilized the abilities of traditional techniques, new science and technology, and artists New starting point for urban innovation in Suwon: Based on 5G technology possessed by leading companies in the global ICT industry in Hwaseong (Haenggung-dong), a product of cutting-edge evidence, solve various urban problems through public, private, industrial and academic governance, and a new business model It aims to reorganize into the space where this is created. Design/methodology/approach The New 1794 Project is a 2019 demonstration project requested by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for "Suwon Smart City Challenge Project: Haenggung-dong, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si," developed by the Dankook University SW Design Convergence Center, and the main project from 2020 to 2022. The smart city project strategy should be implemented based on partnerships with multiple stakeholders, and the bottom-up approach and the traditional top-down must be able to coexist. Therefore, the smart city solution applied a horizontal governance method. Findings In this study, the definition of the New 1794 Project, which is the key to defining smart cities in relation to all analyzed aspects, was developed.

  • Among the innovative companies leading the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the world's largest Internet company is Google. Google has grown by providing convenient services such as Internet search, Android smartphone operating system, and video. Now, Google is leading the global IT industry by continuing to develop in various new business fields based on open service platforms, artificial intelligence, and big data. In this study, an exploratory discussion was conducted on Google's success factors and future directions. The purpose of the research is to understand the development process of the IT field from the successfactors of Google and to analyze the development direction of the future IT industry. Google's success factors were its open platform policy and successful acquisitions of external companies. In fact, most of the services Google offers come from companies that have acquired and acquired them. In addition, there was a corporate culture that values and supportsthe spirit of challenge and autonomy of members who are not afraid of failure. Based on this study's review of Google's direction analysis, the follow-up study will infer the direction of the IT industry in depth and look at the future technologies that IT majors need to prepare.

  • The origin of Uchida is strictly avant-garde and carries a social dimension. The work is a challenge to consumption-oriented mass production, a revolt against intrusive one-way communication, and an aversion to oppressive politics. Such a spirit led to a rare communication design that was created in collabolation with the user and designer, both relating to each other's senses of touch and in the same familiar plane. He first began by focusing on the physical movements of objects in order to achieve maximum comfort and lightness. From the beginning, He avoided strong, sturdy solids, and favored the faint, transitory and vulnerable. He choose the pursue "furniture with delicate lines", "to create darkness by layering shadows", all of which are extremely unique and resulted in designs that have a profound presence. Uchida gives various meanings and functions to the grid. This activities and philosophy of Uchida Shigeru influenced on the interior design.the interior design.

  • The TFT-LCD industry has shown dramatic growth by making technological advances and satisfying consumer needs. It now stands at the heart of the display industry. However, the TFT-LCD market is maturing and is unlikely to sustain the fast pace of growth in years to come. There has been an oversupply in the LCD sector entering 2008 due to capacity expansion aimed at fueling growth coupled with softening demand amid the global economic slowdown and recent financial turmoil. The LCD industry has successfully coped with oversupply on several occasions. Each time, LCD makers faced up to the challenge and responded with a pioneering spirit. They continued to grow by turning crisis into opportunity. LG Display aims to create new markets by developing products based on innovative technology and providing more attractive products through a value-added product planning that incorporates consumer needs. Through a continuous cost innovation targeted at stimulating demand by making products more economical to consumers, we will be at the forefront of overcoming the current oversupply and sustaining robust growth for the TFT-LCD industry. Depending on our management of the situation, the current oversupply could prove to be an opportunity to create even bigger markets for the future.

Study on Influence of Market Merchant College Education in Convergence Era to Educational Performance (융합시대 시장상인대학 교육이 교육성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to look into whether market merchant college education in Convergence to has any influence to the educational performance. For the purpose, 300 surveys were distributed to the ones who completed the course at ** city and in total 275 replies were selected out of 300. The age as of the subjects of this study suggests many of the most common are 91 people with more than 60 121 people 50s. This suggests that the age of a person engaged in the business owners have a lot of seniors. Dependant variable of this study, educational performance resulted in sales increase, help in self development with 82.4%, stronger confidence in success of business startup, overall satisfaction with the market merchant college education. Advanced studies regarding market merchant college and series of domestic and overseas documents were referred to for this study. As trait elements for market merchant college education, educational service, change intention, challenge spirit, decisive factors for customer communication were derived. Along with these elements, research model and hypothesis verifying the relationship with operational fund were established and empirical analysis and investigation was set as study objective.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how the types of perceived brand image related to the main concept building brand equity affect 'brand preference' and 'behavioral intentions'. The perceived brand image is set as the brand image type perceived by the consumer from the image pursued by the corporate brand, while in addition to brand preference, behavioral intentions are set as purchase intention and recommendation intention for the result variables. The result shows that the types of perceived brand image were extracted as 'factor 1(challenge spirit)' and factor 2(reliability) and through the cluster analysis 3 groups under each type were identified. Also, a significant difference between the influence of each type of perceived brand image on 'brand preference', 'purchase intention' and 'recommend intention' was indicated. In addition, the differences of perceived brand image types were found to be higher in order of 'challenge spirit type', 'reliability type', 'integrated type'. The empirical implementation of this study lies in the fact that it classifies the concept of brand image not as a broad theoretical model, but as a model directly related to real consumer perception, and that it gives practical suggestion for brand image management related to advertising.

  • When we assume the transition to a knowledge management society, what factors should be differentially added to the characteristics of CEOs of small enterprises to enhance management performance? This can be done by measuring the core competence of the CEO who is an importance asset of the small firms. This study focuses on the following four inquiries to clarify the relationship among the core competence of the CEO, the knowledge management and the performance of the firms. First, we test the influence of the core competence of CEO on business performance. Second, we explore the effects of CEO characteristics on the knowledge management and the performance of the firm. Third, we test whether knowledge management has a mediating effect in the relationship between the characteristics of CEO which is a parameter, and the business performance of the firm which is a dependent variable. Fourth, for the sake of a deeper understanding of the CEO of the small firms, we conduct t-test or multiple comparison to find out the statistically significant differences among means of the main variables such as demographic characteristics, work experience, and entrepreneurship. The academic contribution of this study is to verify the characteristics of the CEO, which influence the business performance:the global competence, challenge spirit, interpersonal flexibility and stress tolerance, in connection with the knowledge management of small firms. The practical contribution of this study is to test whether CEOs can demonstrate successful business performance through knowledge management rather than measuring business performance after a certain period of time through profit and loss statements in this era of uncertainty.

The Study of Korean-style Leadership (The Great Cause?Oriented and Confidence-Oriented Leadership) (대의와 신뢰 중시의 한국형 리더십 연구)

  • This research analyzes some Korean historical figures and presents the core values of their leaderships so that we can bring up the theory of leadership which would be compatible with the current circumstances around Korea. Through this work, we expected that we would not only find out typical examples among historical leaders but also reaffirm our identities in our history. As a result of the research, it was possible to classify some figures in history into several patterns and discover their archetypal qualities. Those qualities were 'transform(實事)', 'challenge(決死)', 'energize(風流)', 'create(創案)', and 'envision(開新)' respectively. Among the qualities, this research concentrated on the quality of 'challenge', exclusively 'death-defying spirit'. This spirit is the one with which historical leaders could sacrifice their lives for their great causes. This research selected twelve figures as incarnations of death-defying spirit, who are Gyebaek(階伯), Ganggamchan(姜邯贊), Euljimundeok(乙支文德), Choeyoung(崔瑩),ChungMongju(鄭夢周), Seongsammun (成三問), Yisunsin(李舜臣), Gwakjaewoo(郭再祐), Choeikhyeon(崔益鉉), Anjunggeun(安重根), Yunbonggil(尹奉吉), Yijun(李儁). Through analyzing their core values and abilities and categorizing some historical cases into four spheres such as a private sphere, relations sphere, a community sphere, and a society sphere, we came to find a certain element in common among those figures. It was that they eventually took the lead by showing the goal and the ideal to their people at all times. Moreover, their goals were always not only obvious but also unwavering. In the second chapter, I described the core value in a private sphere, so called '志靑靑'. It implies that a leader should set his ultimate goal and then try to attain it with an unyielding will. Obvious self-confidence and unfailing self-creed are core values in a private sphere. In the third chapter, I described the core value in a relative sphere, the relationship between one and others. It is '守信結義'. It indicates that a leader should win confidence from others by discharging his duties in the relation with others. Confidence is the highest leveled affection to others. Thus, mutual reliance should be based on truthful sincerity and affection toward others. Stubbornness and strictness are needed not to be prompted by pity simultaneously. In the fourth chapter, I described the core value in a community sphere. It is '丹心合力'. For this value, what are required to a leader are both his community spirit and his loyalty to one's community. Moreover, the strong sense of responsibility and the attitude of taking an initiative among others are also required. Thus, it can be said that the great power to conduct the community is so called fine teamwork. What's more, the attitude of the leader can exert a great influence on his community. In the fifth chapter, I described the core value of death defying spirit in the society sphere. This value might be more definite and explicit than other ones described above. A leader should prepare willingly for one's death to fulfill his great duties. 'What to do' is more important for a leader than 'how to do'. That is to say, a leader should always do righteous things. Efficiency is nothing but one of his interests. A leader must be the one who behaves himself always according to righteousness. Unless a leader's behaviors are based on righteousness, it is absolutely impossible that a leader exerts his leadership toward people very efficiently. Thus, it can be said that a true leader is the one not only who is of morality and but also who tries to fulfill his duties.

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the different types of cooperation between the textile industries and the artists at the beginning of the 20th century in relation to the social background which motivated the artists. Therefore, this study tries to analyse the interactions between the cooperation and the movement of social reform of the period and describe the various phase of artistic expression as a result of artists' view point of the society. The results are as follows; 1. There are two different standpoints toward the cooperation. The one conceives the different role of artists in relation to society and the other tries to enlarge the field of expression as an artistic challenge. 2. The different standpoint engenders significant diversity in its development, result and decline. 3. The raise of new artist group "designer" who reconciles the art and the industry as vocation diminishes the need of direct participations of artists. 4. The spirit of the time has changed and emphasised more the conceptual part of the art than the properties of matter. It provides less favorable condition for the cooperation. The cooperation between the art and the industry is a significant resource of the textile and clothing design. The interaction is not limited to visual effect but partakes in the solutions of the common artistic or social problems. problems.
