  • In the paper We have analyzed the case study of the domestic and foreign railway logistic information systems based on the railway logistic to build the information architect basis system of real-time simultaneous. In case of domestic examples, We have analyzed the logistic information system used in Korea Railroad and the information systems of Kyungin ICD(Inland Container Depot) and Busanjin CY(Container Yard). In case of foreign example, we have analyzed the logistic information system of Japanese FRENS(Freight information network system) and the examples of freight tracking using RFID(Radio Frequency Identification). Through the above analysis, We have induced the main problems and improvement methods. We are able to build the railway-oriented information network system for the massive and efficient railway transportation.

  • A systematic investigation for the process design in deep drawing is necessary to improve the quality of drawn cups. This study concentrates mainly on the influence of process desing scheme on the product qualities in cylindrical cup drawing. Three types of process design scheme were chosen in this study. Case 1 is to draw a finished cup of 50mm in diameter in one stage, Case 2 and Case 3 are redrawing the first drawn cups of 55, 65mm in diameter to the final size respectively. Through experiments the maximum drawing force in two-stage cup drawing can be reduced up to 24% as compared with that of one-stage cup drawing. In addition, Case 3 process results in better product qualities than the other two processes in terms of the distributions of thickness and hardness.

  • There is hardly any helpful data from the studies on the clothing pressure of men, because most studies about the clothing pressure have been attempted to analyze the case of women. This study, therefore, was done about the men's waist which was most highly pressured of the body. RESULTS: 1. The pressure from the waist when the man puts on summer wears was as follow ; the case when standing, the pressure from the abdomen was 28.99±14.37g/㎠, and the one from the side 34.14±14.79g/㎠, the case when sitting on the chair, the pressure from the abdomen was 31.27±15.59g/㎠, and the one from the side was 33.39±13.23g/㎠. 2. The pressure from the abdomen was increased in proportion to the Rohrer index. 3. The clothing pressure given the waist was lower in case of the men with digestive disorder than the ordinary ones.

  • This study was intended to investigate specific plan to enhance the adolescents consumers' environment-friendly consumption behavior in their consumption. For this purpose, a questionnaire was conducted among middle and high school students. As a result, the following findings were obtained: The related items in the questionnaire were categorized into factors in an attempt to investigate consumers' environment-friendly consumption. Factor I was coded as active recycling and the use of refilled products and Factor Ⅱ was coded as the behavior of active savings. Adolescents consumers with more experiences in environmental activity showed the higher level of behavior of environment-friendly consumption, and female adolescents consumer did so than male adolescents consumer And adolescents consumers showed the higher level of practical behavior of environment-friendly consumption in case of data and document arrangement than in case of cleaning, and in case of voluntary social service than in case of only cleaning.

  • This study uses a hybrid estimation tool for effective cost data management of building projects, and develops a realistic cost estimation model. The method makes use of newly available information as the project progresses, and project cost and percentage progress are analyzed and used as inputs for the developed system. For model development, case-based reasoning (CBR) is proposed, as it enables complex nonlinear mapping. This study also investigates analytic hierarchy process (AHP) for weight generation and applies them to a real project case. Real case studies are used to demonstrate and validate the benefits of the proposed approach. By using this method, an evaluation of actual project performance can be developed that appropriately considers the natural variability of construction costs.

  • This study analyzes the change of the basic characteristics of pavement concrete according to the reinforcement of macro-fiber and the results of the study can be summarized as follows. In the case of the compressive strength of the concrete, the fiber reinforced pavement concrete shows a small decreasing level compared to the basic mixing of pavement concrete (hereafter referred as 'Plain') based on the aging of 28 days. In particular, the polypropylene fiber made in Korea represents a decrease in the strength about 12% compared with that of the Plain. In the case of the tensile strength, it shows certain improvements in the tensile performance compared with that of the Plain. In particular, in the case of the polyvinyl alcohol fiber that shows the largest improvement in tensile performance, it shows an increase in its strength about 21%. In the case of the bending strength, there are no improvements in its strength in the fiber reinforced concrete compared to that of the Plain.

  • The nature of ill-defined planning problems makes expert systems difficult to acquire and represent knowledge for decision making in urban planning processes. In order to resolve these problems, a case-based reasoning method was applied to develop a spatial analysis system for urban planning. A case study was conducted in a residential land use planning process. The result of the study revealed the effectiveness of reasoning by the spatial analysis system and the possibility of its future application. More accumulation of information on other successful cases should be sought to yield better results

  • A closed circuit cooling tower having high temperature of cooling water and small water flow rate is investigated. To study the characteristics of the heat transfer of heat exchanges in a cooling tower with multi paths a numerical method is used. The results show that the staggered tube arrangements in a bank show better performance than aligned ones for temperature variation with various outer diameters of tube bundles. In case of one pass, the 15.88 mm tube case shows about 9% better performance than the 25.4 mm tube case. In two paths, the tube outside diameter of 15.88 mm show about 14.4% better results than the 25.4 mm diameter case.

  • How do aphasics deal with the inflectional marking occurring in agglutinative languages like Korean? Korean speech repetition, comprehension and production were studied in 3 Broca's aphasic speakers of Korean. As experimental materials, 100 easy sentences were chosen in 1st grade Korean elementary school textbooks about reading writing and listening, and two pictures were made from each sentence. This study examines the use of three kinds of inflectional markings--past tense, nominative case, and accusative case. The analysis focuses on whether each inflectional marking was performed well or not in tasks such as repetition, comprehension and production. In addition, morphological errors concerned with each inflectional marking were analyzed in view of markedness. In general, the aphasic subjects showed a clear preservation of the morphological aspects of their native language. So the view of Broca's aphasics as agrammatical could not be strongly supported. It can be suggested that nominative case and accusative case are marked elements in Korean.

  • This paper presents a study on the analysis for activation time and threshold value of heat detection sensor using HRR(Heat Release Rate). And it is represented to quantity of heat to activate heat detection sensor. The experiment is conducted to measure activation time and HRR of fire detection sensor burning alcohol and n-heptane. In order to burn the alcohol and n-heptane using $43.5cm(L){\times}43.5cm(W){\times}5cm(D)$ and $33cm(L){\times}33cm(L){\times}5cm(D)$ steel pan and the quantity of alcohol and n-heptane are 2.5 L and 650 g, respectively. The results show that peak HRR are in case of alcohol 66.13 kW and in case of n-heptane 151.64 kW, respectively. Total heat releases of heat detection sensor are in case of alcohol approximately 20.7 MJ and in case of n-heptane approximately 18 MJ, respectively.
