Objectives: This case report describes the management of three patients with menopausal disorder treated with Jaeumganghwa-tang, an herbal extract in national health insurance. Methods: Three patients suffering from Menopause disorder were hospitalized and treated with herbal extract Jaeumganghwa-tang for 4 weeks. This study was measured by Kupperman's Index, Menopause Rating Scale and EuroQol-Five Dimensions. Results: The symptoms of menopausal disorder have improved after treating with Jaeumganghwa-tang. Also the Kupperman's Index and Menopause Rating Scale have decreased, while the EuroQol-Five Dimensions has increased. Conclusions: As seen in these three cases, Jaeumganghwa-tang in herbal extract form has effects on the management of menopause disorder.

Diaphragmatic hernias have been reported in 0.8%-1.6% of patients who experience blunt chest trauma. The hernia is assumed to form as a result of direct diaphragmatic violation or significant intraabdominal or intrathoracic pressure caused by the trauma. Some reports have described cases of delayed diaphragmatic hernia and subsequent stomach perforation that occurred a few days to several years after an accident. We report an extremely rare case of diaphragmatic herniation in which the process from initial blunt trauma to visceral organ perforation took only 2 days, without any evidence of herniation on the initial X-ray or computed tomography. Delayed diaphragmatic herniation and subsequent visceral organ perforation should not be missed during the period immediately after blunt chest trauma.

Fibrofolliculoma is a benign, perifollicular, connective tissue tumor that usually arises in the form of multiple lesions; it is rarely seen as a solitary lesion. The lesions are clinically asymptomatic, 2 to 4 mm skin-colored, soft dome-shaped papules. Here, we report a patient who visited our hospital with a palpable lesion on the nasal septum. The lesion did not cause pain upon palpation, and nasal endoscopy confirmed an irregular wart-like lesion measuring 6×6 mm in the left anterior nasal septum near the columella. Other otolaryngology findings were normal, and there were no similar lesions in other parts of the body. None of the patient's family members were known to have had such lesions. An excisional biopsy was performed on the mass for removal of the lesion, and histological examination confirmed the lesion as fibrofolliculoma. We report the first case of solitary fibrofolliculoma in the nasal septum in a healthy 62-year-old woman along with a review of the relevant literature.

Medullary carcinoma (MC) of the breast is an uncommon histologic form of infiltrating ductal carcinoma and the cytologic features of MC are not well delineated. We recently experienced a case of fine needle aspiration cytology of MC of the breast. The characteristic cytopathologic features were cellular aspirate consisting of large, pleomorphic cells in background of many single to clusters of lymphocytes.

Tuberculous epididymo-orchitis, a rare form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis, results from hematogenous dissemination or retrograde extension from the lower urinary tract. Herein, we studied the case of a 22-year-old male patient who presented with refractory left scrotal pain and inflammation. The patient also complained of multifocal pain involving the right buttock, posterior thigh, and right wrist, without trauma history. The patient was diagnosed with multifocal tuberculosis by sputum AFB study and right sacroiliac joint biopsy.

Hemangioma of the larynx is generally classified into adult and infantile form. More common infantile form usually arises on subglottic portiion and may cause respiratory distress. Adult form is rare and arises on vocal cord or above. Vocal cord hemangioma was rarely reported in the medical literature. Since Kimmelman et al reported vocal hemangioma in 1979 first, there are four cases of vocal hemangioma reported in medical literature. Recently, we experienced a case of vocal cord hemangioma and successfully removed it with micro-laryngeal surgery. Hence we report this case with review of literatures.

This study was done to report the improvement of second case report form(CRF) and standard operating procedure(SOP) of Tentative Korean Standard Differentiation of the Symptoms and Signs for Stroke. We were in charge of developing case report form(CRF) and educating the investigators. In the process of this project, we needed to develop standard operating procedure(SOP) for this CRF. So we made Tentative Korean Standard Differentiation of the Symptoms and Signs for Stroke and tried clinical application at Department of Oriental Internal Medicine of Wonkwang University and Daejeon University in 2005. And in this pilot study we can find out some problems and need to improve it. We strengthen the incision and exclusion criteria of CRF We canceled the Chief complains entry for efficiency. We reflected the decision of Stroke standard committee. We reduced the differentiation index of CRF to promote efficiency and accuracy. We rearranged the order of the differentiation index to promote rationality and practicality. We regulated detail item belonging to Differentiation index. We used a colloquialism in question. We inserted flow chart in SOP. We inserted picture of diagnostic index.

5-Aminosalicylate agents are the main therapeutic agents for ulcerative colitis. Balsalazide is a prodrug of 5-aminosalicylate and has fewer side effects than the other 5-aminosalicylate agents. Pulmonary complications resembling granulomatosis with polyangiitis in ulcerative colitis are extremely rare. Here, we report a patient with ulcerative colitis on balsalazide presenting respiratory symptoms and multiple pulmonary nodules from a chest radiography that was pathologically diagnosed with a limited form of granulomatosis with polyangiitis with bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia-like variant. To our knowledge, this is the first report of a balsalazide-induced limited form of granulomatosis with polyangiitis with bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia-like variant.

Segmental dilatation of the small intestine is a rare form of the congenital intestinal anomaly. Many other combined anomalies have been reported in, but the association with colonic duplication has not been reported in the literature. We report a case of segmental dilatation of the distal ileum associated with colonic duplication. The main clinical and pathogenic aspects are discussed, and the literatures are reviewed.

A nasal-type extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma is considered an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, with approximately half of all patients relapsing during the follow-up period, and most relapses occurring within the first 2 years of remission. Here we report an unusual case of a 42-year-old man who experienced recurrence in single pleura after 8 years of remission.
