A Study of High Temperature Filtration Performance Test on Low Density Cylindrical Ceramic Filters (저밀도 원통형 세라믹 필터의 고온 여과 성능시험 연구)

  • Cylindrical type ceramic filers, that is 60 O.D$\times$10t$\times$600L and 60 O.D$\times$10t$\times$1,000L were manufactured by vacuum forming processes using ceramic ray materials. For cylindrical type ceramic filters, porosity and bulk density were measured for, 80 to 90% and 0.3 to 0.4 g/㎤, respectively at uniform pore size of 41 to 45${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. Bench scale candle filters (60$\psi$ $\times$10t$\times$600L) were tested using different dusts collected from many industries including chemical processing, glass processing and metal manufacturing pants. Collection efficiencies found out to range from 99.87% to 99.90%, while resistance coefficients from 1.1$\times$10(sup)11/$m^2$ to 1.7$\times$10(sup)11/$m^2$ . Full scale low density ceramic filters (60$\psi$ $\times$10t$\times$1,000L) were also tested at 1 atm, $600^{\circ}C$ to reveal the filtration efficiency, conditioning, and resistance coefficients using two different types of dust as chemical processing and metal refined processing. Darcys law resistance coefficients were measured to range 1.44$\times$10(sup)11/$m^2$ to 2.74$\times$10(sup)11/$m^2$, and collection efficiencies on the range 99.84 to 99.96%, Finally, results of long term performance test showed that filters were conditioned after 170hrs. Experimental conditions for effective filtration were examined under the condition 10 cm/sec face velocity, 3kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ pulsing pressure, 5 min filtration cycle, and 300msec pulse opening time.

Computational Analysis of Flow Velocity and Particle Trajectory on the Surface of Bag-Shaped Filters with a Different Permeability (투과율에 따른 백-형상의 필터 표면에서의 유동속도 및 입자궤적 수치해석)

  • Computational simulation was performed to analyze flow velocities and particle trajectories onto the surface of bag-shaped filters with a different permeability. When the permeability of a filter is lower than that of a low-efficient fabric bag-filter widely used, the distributions of flow velocities and particle trajectories on the filter surface were not different with decreasing the filter permeability. The distributions of streamlines and radial directional gas velocities were uniform on the filter surface except for the neighbors of the bottom edge and outlet of the filter. The particle trajectories onto filter surface were more densely distributed around the bottom edge of the filter, so that the particle number on the filter surface was maximized near the bottom edge and decreased in the direction of the filter outlet.

  • This study on the methode is easied to distinguish with emotional visual lighting on AtoN facility using 3colors LED, and which is controlled to on-off switching of approach light in shore or harbor. The identification have easied to provide a differentiation between the AtoN facility of red and white light and surrounding light in harbor both sides. And the integrated controller have designed to left-right and serial sequential lighting system for harbor guidance using the GPS synchronous or timer. There is expectation effect that is prevent a confusion about distinguish of facility by ship's operator and to beautify a night scene of harbor, which is expressed to emotional identification lighting and variable color lighting on AtoN body by vertical layer color lighting using LED. In addition, the performance of AtoN is implemented to display with guidance light the harbor safety message by morse code lighting. Effectiveness of system is enhanced that age and power consumption reduce by candle alternated high light LED.

  • Raspberry Pi is a credit card-sized computer with support for a large number of input and output peripherals. This makes it the perfect platform for interaction with many different devices and for usage in a wide range of applications. When combined with Wi-Fi, it can communicate remotely, therefore increasing its suitability for the construction of wireless sensor nodes. In addition, data processing and decision-making can be based on artificial intelligence, what is performed in developed testbed on the example of monitoring and determining the confidence of fire. In this paper, we demonstrated the usage of Raspberry Pi as a sensor web node for fire-safety monitoring in a building. When the UV-flame sensors detect a flame as thin as that of a candle, the Raspberry Pi sends a push-message to notify the assigned smartphone of the on-site situation through the GCM server. A mobile app was developed to provide a real-time video streaming service in order to determine a false alarm. If an emergency occurs, one can immediately call for help.

A Comparison of Cognitive Conflict and Conceptual Change by Age and Gender (성과 나이에 따른 인지 갈등 유발 및 개념 변화의 비교)

  • The degree of cognitive conflict, conceptual change, and the retention of conception in studying 'the cause of rising water at burning a candle in a bottle' with anomalous data were compared by age and gender. According to 'change of belief in initial theory', 7 types of responses to anomalous data were ordered by 4 levels. In comparing the results by age, producing cognitive conflict by anomalous data, conceptual change, and the retention of conception were found to be more effective for older students than younger students. However, the degree of cognitive conflict was not significantly correlated with the conception and retention tests scores. The results of Mann-Whitney U test revealed that there were no significant differences by gender in the degree of cognitive conflict, conceptual change, and the retention of conception.

  • This study is the visually identification lighting for easy to distinguish using colors LED on AtoN facility in harbor gate, which have realized a controller for certainly express the gate of harbor by red light and green light of both sides a harbor and for synchronization at a time of right and left or sequential the harbor guidance light through synchronizer or timer by GPS. Time Series Stock Prices Prediction Based On Fuzzy Model (퍼지 모델에 기초한 시계열 주가 예측)

  • In this paper an approach to building fuzzy models for predicting daily and weekly stock prices is presented. Predicting stock prices with traditional time series analysis has proven to be difficult. Fuzzy logic based models have advantage of expressing the input-output relation linguistically, which facilitates the understanding of the system behavior. In building a stock prediction model we bear a burden of selecting most effective indicators for the stock prediction. In this paper information used in traditional candle stick-chart analysis is considered as input variables of our fuzzy models. The fuzzy rules have the premises and the consequents composed of trapezoidal membership functions and nonlinear equations, respectively. DE(Differential Evolution) identifies optimal fuzzy rules through an evolutionary process. The fuzzy models to predict daily and weekly open, high, low, and close prices of KOSPI(KOrea composite Stock Price Index) are built, and their performances are demonstrated.

A Biographical Research on Lives of Korean Women with Leprosy (여성한센인의 삶에 관한 생애사 연구)

  • This study sets out to explore their experiences using a biographical research method and to suggest appropriate support systems for Korean women with leprosy. The data were collected through in-depth interviews with five leprous women. The following main themes were extracted from the practical experiences of leprous women over all their life-span: "encounter the divine punishment", "huge burden on a tiny body", and, "the candle to die down". These themes are listed and described in chronological order. Leprous women were forced to choose concentration hospital to survive social stigma and discrimination. In the hospital, leprous women were treated like a pest, and further deprived of their rights regarding marriage, pregnancy and child care. Until now, they still keep themselves away from society because of their ugly body even though the disease is completely gone. But they keep praying for their children's lives. Finally they accepted a life of tears and regrets and waited for death. This study offers practical knowledge and social work implications for Korean women with leprosy.

A Study on the Evaluation of Three Decades of the 'Minjoonojoundong' in Korea (1987년 민주항쟁 30년, 민주노조운동의 평가와 전망)

  • This paper studies and evaluates the present situation of three decades of 'Minjoonojoundong' in Korea with a long-term perspectives. It had grown up during 1987 labour regime era and has declined abruptly since 1998. The backdrop of this decline was the transformation of labour regime from the 1987 regime to the dependent neoliberal one. The Korean labour movement did not respond to the changed structural conditions as it sustained its old strategies, militant unionism. Now the 'Minjoonojoundong' in Korea has met three difficult problems that are connected with each others. They are militant economism, political economism and formal industrial unionism. However the 'Candlelight Revolution' occurred in 2016 winter has opened a chance of regime change that could strengthen the 'Minjoonojoundong'. The revolution was primarily a political one. But it also created a dramatic situation change in labour politics. The candle-citizen demanded radical change of the polarized Korean society and overflown contingent workers. So it is a time of radical and overall innovation for the 'Minjoonojoundong' and KCTU. And they have to keep the long-term strategical vision of labour regime change.

Identification of mutans streptococci isolated from dental plaque between the bracket and tooth surface in orthodontic patients (교정환자의 브라켓과 치아 경계부에 존재하는 치면세균막내 mutans streptococci 종 및 생물형의 식별)

  • The aim of this study was to compare the species and biotypes of mutans streptococci isolated from dental plaques sampled from the interfaces between the bracket aid tooth surface and smooth tooth surfaces In orthodontic patients. Dental plaque was collected from the interfaces between brackets aid teeth (test group), and from smooth tooth surfaces distant from brackets by more that 2mm (control group). The dental plaque collected by a sterilized curette was transferred into a vial of 1 X PBS. The sample in the vial was vigorously vortexed for 1 min and plated ou mitis-salivarius bacitracin (MSB) agar plate using cotton tips. The agar plates were incubated at $37^[\circ}C$ in a candle jar for 2 days, and again incubated for 1 more day at anambient temperature Individual colonies were cultured in TH broth at $37^[\circ}C\;CO_2$ incubator. The PCR-RFLP based on dextranase gene was performed for the identification of mutans streptococci at the species-level For biotyping of mutans streptococci, biochemical tests were performed There was no significant difference of the species of mutans streptococci isolated from both test and control groups However, the biotypes of the mutans streptococci isolated from test and control groups were different. These results may offer the basic data to verify the relationship between the mutans streptococci biotype and enamel decalcification or dental caries in orthodontic patients with fixed appliances.
