  • In surface compression applications, one of the main issues is how to efficiently store and calculate the computer representation of certain surfaces. This leads us to consider a nonlinear approximation by box splines with free knots since, for instance, the nonlinear method based on wavelet decomposition gives efficient compression and recovery algorithms for such surfaces (cf. [12]).

  • This paper discuss advanced safety in the railway signaling system. The specified methods and HAZOP about Hazard identification and analysis of railway signalling system were studied, and loss analysis and ALARP model in order to calculate safety as a standard capacity were proposed. It was also resulted from Hazard identification, analysis and evaluation by applying advanced safety to the railway signalling system.

  • This paper considers an algorithm using Johnson transformation to calculate process capability index for non-normal distribution. Johnson transformation is well known as one of methods transforming the data with non-normal distribution to normal data.

  • To inspect point-defect in LCD pannel, calculate period and eliminated pattern. And then find point-defect to compare block image with each period. First processing, Founded over point defects. To reduce wrong point defect. Next, label point-defects and eliminated not surpass fixed limit-size.

  • In this paper we implement the Discrete Rotational Fourier Transform(DRFT) which is a discrete version of the Angular Fourier Transform and its inverse transform. We simplify the computation algorithm in [4], and calculate the complexity of the proposed implementation of the DRFT and the inverse DRFT, in comparison with the complexity of a DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform).
