Objective:The aim of this paper is to discuss the nuclear safety culture in Korea. Background: Recently, Korean nuclear field has met a strong anti-nuclear trend after a few happenings, as well as Fukushima accident, which are turned out to be caused by organizational pitfalls and safety culture defects in general. Method: We review the concepts and constructs of safety culture based on the brief history of the nuclear safety culture that IAEA mainly raised after the Chernobyl accident in 1986. Additionally, we give a comparative discussion on the approach to the safety culture with U.S. Results: Finally, we discuss the three technical domains and propose six selected domestic issues related to the nuclear safety culture for coping with the demanding requests on nuclear safety in Korea. Conclusion and Application: We suggest several recommendations and a research direction in the form of a re-start line for the nuclear safety culture in Korea.

It was investigated whether culture filtrates produced by X. fastiduosa could be used to determine varietal susceptibility in grape cultivars to anthracnose as a substitute for pathogen inoculation or field screening. Bioassay of grape leaves with culture filtrates showed that their phytotoxicities were active and host-selective. Ethyl acetate extracts from those also showed the toxicities and host selectivity among grape cultivars. The sensitive range of plants to culture filtrates and their ethyl acetate extracts was consistent with the host range to the pathogen. Susceptible cultivars were sensitive to even highly diluted culture filtrates but resistant cultivars were not affected even at original culture filtrates. Susceptible cultivars were sensitive to the undiluted culture filtrates than highly diluted culture filtrates and the younger leaves were the more sensitive to the culture filtrates and their ethyl acetate extracts in grapes.

The enterprise culture factor who causes an effect in the wages factor of duty satisfaction appeared with the all feeling factor of system. Fourth. The enterprise culture factor who causes an effect in the duty form factor or duty satisfaction clearness or example by leadership and belief, duty affirmation appeared with the factor. Fifth. The enterprise culture factor who causes an effect in the service environment factor of duty satisfaction appeared with the all feeling factor of system. Conclusion the enterprise culture appeared with the fact that it causes an effect duty satisfactorily.

The focus of the present study is to seek the ways of using popular culture for teaching mathematics. Thus, this study theoretically investigated concepts of popular culture and the meanings of using popular culture for mathematics teaching and learning. And the current study analyzed both the influence of popular culture of mathematics learning and how mathematics is represented through popular culture. Finally, this study suggested teaching models using popular culture and implications for further research in mathematics education about popular culture.

This study examines the possibility of early production of forage rape (cv. Akela and Velox) in the period of wintering. Bolting date was Feb. 2 to Feb. 9 in PE film house culture by non-heating and Mar. 3 to Mar. 12 in open field culture. And flowering date was Feb. 24 to Mar. 3 in PE film house culture by non-heating, so it was 30~50 days faster than the open field culture of Apr. 17 to Apr. 22. Fresh matter yield was 8, 356~4, 887 kg/10a in PE film house culture by non-heating, so it was 1, 431~1, 603 kg/10a yield increase than in the open field culture of 7, 253~7, 456 kg/10a Dry matter yield was 953~963 kg/10a in PE film house culture by non-heating, so it was 71~284 kg/10a yield increase than in the open field culture of 669~892 kg/10a.

Culture speaks for the characters of the period, so it is presented by the mutual actions of many factors affecting culture. Foreign culture, introduced by cultural exchange, was modified and accepted into a new form and value system. In the beginning, only foreigners danced these dances, but Chinese started to dance them gradually. Thus, the dancing costume showed the complete fusion of Chinese and exotic styles. Especially, in the Tang dynasty, Chinese accepted foreign culture very actively and with open hearts. They accepted foreign culture based on their traditional culture, and fused them completely. In these costumes, not one culture was prominent, but many cultures from Gandhara to East and West Turkistan and even to Persian and Hellenism were synthesized together. Chinese, in the Tang dynasty, retained on their traditional culture and modified new foreign culture into Chinese style.

The goal of this study is to analyze the influence of the costume culture of South Korean movies and television series on the development of fashion industry. South Korean movies and television series make full use of the influence of costume culture to advocate Korea's national spirit and character as well as the confidence and vigor of the young generation. They contribute to establishing South Korea as a country with a graceful, modern appearance and great cultural heritage. The presentation and promotion of its costume culture in movie and television series stimulates its cultural competence and advances its cultural creative industry. The spread of Korean costume culture has become the pioneer and foreshadowing of clothing industries and greatly underpins its advancement overseas. In concert, the development of clothing industry helps the spread of Korean costume culture.

This study was performed to investigate the optimum microalgal culture conditions using flask culture and to find the feasibility of using the flue gas of the rice husk incinerator for cultivating the microalgae. The optimum initial pH of media was 4.5 for the microalgae culture, and the intermittently illuminated culture was more effective than the continuous illuminated culture. Thus, the balance between photosynthesis and formative metabolism must be considered thoroughly to cultivate microalgal cells. The optimum CO2 concentrations were in the range of 7 to 10%, and the optimum temperature was about 35$^{\circ}C$ in both the daytime and the nighttime for the culture. When flue gas of the rice husk incinerator was applied to the microalgae culture using stirred photobioreactor, the dry cell weight was 0.026 g dry biomass/hr$.$l. The results obtained in experiments indicated that the flue gas was effective for microalgae culture without any limitations.

Recombinant human pBrathyriod hormone related peptide (1-341 (rhPTHrP) has been known to stimulate bone resorption in intact bone tissue culture system. Osteoclast has been known as a primary responsible cell for bone resorption. To examine the effect of rhPTHrP on this cell, we employed disaggregated rat osteodast culture. As a result, we found that rhPTHrP sisnificBntly elevates both the number and total area of resorbed pits in this culture. On the other hand, the conflicting results between disagsregated rat osteoc13st culture and Ca2+-deficient hen osteoclast culture system have been a big obstacle for the progress of bone research. To verify the differences between rat 3nd chick osteoclast system, we performed the same experiment using chick embryonic osteoclast. Since the similar results were obtained from the disaggregated chick osteoclast culture, the discrepancy between chick and rat osteoclast culture study seemed to be due to the difference in culture method, rather due to the species-difference.

This case study examines language learners' oral interactive practices and what they learn along with these practices. Language learners who study abroad take on the challenge of living in a foreign place and undergo difficulties in communicating and interacting with people in their new country. These difficulties, caused by cultural differences, are experienced most particularly in their daily interactions. Language learners' trials and efforts to learn English while dealing with a different culture and the difficulties are mainly observed for this paper. The process of learning a second culture is closely related to the process of learning a second language. Oral interactive practices can give the study abroad language learners opportunities to learn their target culture. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to discuss how participating in interactive practices assists the learners in understanding their target culture while they deal with their difficulties inherent in studying abroad. This study adds weight to the notion that culture is an essential and major factor in learning a language, and that only active participation in interactions can be effective in learning both a language and its culture.
