The fact that an owner organization has the essential key to successful application of CM delivery method is true, but there has been no study on owner's organization. An owner should decide their organization type and measure their current needs for several different construction business functions for successful application of CM. After the needs of CM business functions are measured, the owner should reinforce their required business functions through strengthening their in-house capability or outsourcing. Thus, this paper defines four kinds of owner organization type and suggest the form for evaluation of owner's CM ability and analyze about needs of each type's CM capability through a survey.

In order to increase the performance of the construction management(CM) site organization, it is necessary to find an organizational structure suitable for the CM, lead an organizational culture correctly, and increase the job satisfaction of the members. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to study the influence of the organizational structure of the CM site organization on the organizational culture and job satisfaction. As results of the study, the organizational structure of the CM site organization was the highest at 3.51 for formalization and the lowest at 2.71 for centralization(out of 5). In addition, as results of correlation analysis, organizational structure was found to have a correlation with organizational culture and job satisfaction. This study is considered to be helpful in planning an organizational structure suitable for the CM site organization.

  • While growth of domestic CM market has slowed down due to economic recession, it recently shows sign of scale as some public agencies are relocating their headquarters. Since the introduction of CM system, a number of client organizations have acquired construction project management capabilities, however, sufficient efforts are not made to estimate the size of construction project management organization. This study drew a method for estimating the size of the organization managing construction project by utilizing statics analysis and project costs per member based on 10 public construction projects and tried to review applicability through case studies. With this study, we would like to make a contribution to achieving smoother work performance and success of the construction project by estimating and allocating proper scale of management workforce.

  • This study materializes body type measurement based on ISO(International Standard Organization)size system, targeting 1381 Chinese women, and suggests clothes size standards. It provides basic information on Chinese women size for Korean clothes companies advanced in China to strengthen the national competitiveness of Korean clothing industry. First, after the body type examination, based on the ISO's drop value, the results of types are in its decreasing order: A, M, H, and D. Second, women upper garment sizes by body types are set in the section of height 152cm, 160cm, and 168cm. Garment sizes are suggested based on the section that has more than 0.8% of appearance rate for the survey target: A, H, and M. Third, the clothes sizes of women pants are set in the section of height 152cm, 160cm, and 168cm just with the same as the upper garment.

  • Consequence management (CM) remains a relatively unknown or underdeveloped concept in Republic of Korea. This study was conducted as a literature study, perceiving that good CM is critical when viewed under contemporary disaster types and comprehensive security. From the perspectives of integrated disaster control and comprehensive security, it would be necessary for South Korea to implement the concept of CM widely used in countries with advanced disaster control. In particular, this study verifies the need of the military to respond actively to Chemical, Biological, Radiation, Nuclear, and high yield Explosives (CBRNE) situations. A plan for the development of the CM organization of the ROK Armed Forces is proposed by using the CBRNE-CM response organization of the United States as a model.

  • The research was conducted with the aim of determining effects of seedling age on the yield of four fine rice varieties viz., Kalizura, Tulshimala, BRRI (Bang-ladesh Rice Research Institute)-37 and BRRI-38. The seedling of different ages such as 15, 25, 35 and 45 days were transplanted on the same day maintaining $25cm{\times}15cm$ spacing. The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. The yield and yield contributing characters were influenced by seedling age, variety and their interaction. BRRI-38 gave the highest number of effective tillers $hill^{-1}$, panicle length, total spikelets $panicle^{-1}$, grains $panicle^{-1}$, 1000-grains weight and grain yield. Likewise, yield and yield contributing characters were the highest in 35 days old seedling. On the other hand, the variety (BRRI-38) with the same age as of seedlings 35 days old seedlings was found superior to other interactions, but, in the production of grains $panicle^{-1}$ and 1000-grains weight there was no significant effect in this interaction. From the findings it may be inferred that BRRI-38 with 35 days old seedlings produced the highest grain yield.

  • The Construction Management for the Asan Baebang Complex Development PF Project is aiming the solution for the needs of specialized organization and management for the construction of the project, as a independent representative managing the whole process of the super high rise and huge volume of complex project. This case shall be counted as a remarkable one in the point of view that the CM was decided to be encountered even in this consortium project made between the private firm and government, and shows that the project can be executed successfully without having its own organization of a huge number of staffs. This study is for the Construction Management applied for the consortium project between the private firm and government and it is my pleasure if this study could be a help to encourage CM for wide applying in the field by reviewing of its necessity and analyzing of its effect and advantage.
