  • In this paper, we study relationships between zero characteristic properties and minimality of orbit closures or limit sets of points. Also, we characterize the set of points of zero characteristic properties. We show that the set of points of positive zero characteristic property in a compact spaces X is the intersection of negatively invariant open subsets of X.

  • It is known that the orbifold Euler characteristic $e_{orb}(S)$ of a log del Pezzo surface S of rank one satisfies the inequality $0{\leq}e_{orb}(S){\leq}3$. In this note, we show that the orbifold Euler characteristic of S is strictly positive, i.e., 0 < $e_{orb}(S)$. Moreover, we also show, by construction, the existence of log del Pezzo surfaces of rank one with arbitrarily small orbifold Euler characteristic.

  • The characteristic connection is a good substitute for the Levi-Civita connection, especially in studying non-integrable geometries. Unfortunately, not every geometric structure has the characteristic connection. In this paper we consider the space $U(3)/(U(1){\times}U(1){\times}U(1))$ with an almost Hermitian structure and prove that it has a geometric structure admitting the characteristic connection.

  • In this paper we prove an even characteristic analogue of the result of Andrade on lower bounds for moment of quadratic Dirichlet L-functions in odd characteristic. We establish lower bounds for the moments of Dirichlet L-functions of characters defined by Hasse symbols in even characteristic.

  • In order to the excellent differentiation of syndromes, we study on the individual characteristic factor by the inspection of face colour and tongue & the auscultation and olfaction. To the subject of diagnosis special books and diagnostics textbook of korean medicine, we arrange the individual characteristic factor by the inspection of face colour and tongue & the auscultation and olfaction. The inspection on the individual characteristic factor was analyzed the face colour, inspection of tongue. The auscultation and olfaction on the individual characteristic factor was analyzed the 25 types by the five-voice (五音) in Huang Di Nei Jing (黃帝內經). As the results, the individual characteristic factor is very important item of the four methods of diagnosis and the differentiation of syndromes. And Therefore the process on four methods of diagnosis and differentiation of syndromesis is necessary to divide the signs of individual characteristic factor and the signs of disease.

The Effects of Team Characteristics on the Innovation Performance in R&D Organizations : The Mediating Effect of Creative Climate (R&D조직의 창의적 팀 특성이 혁신성과에 미치는 영향 : 창의적 풍토의 매개효과)

  • This study aims at analyzing the relationship between team characteristic and innovation performance. The mediating effect of creative climate on the team characteristic and innovation performance is also measured. Based upon literature review, individual creative characteristics, team diversity, team cohesion, task characteristics are presented as antecedents of team characteristic. Creative climate affects the creative behavior and innovative performance. Creative climate is measured as the Team Climate Inventory (TCI) proposed by Anderson & West (1998) including goal, participative-autonomy and innovative-support. Data were collected from 186 survey responses (54 Teams) out of total 462 (69 teams) from the R&D department of a major ICT firm in Korea. Empirical results show the diversity, cohesion, job characteristic, individual creative characteristic have a positive effect on the creative climate and innovation performance. The participative-autonomy climate factor appears to mediate the relationship between team characteristic (diversity, cohesion, job and individual characteristics) and innovation performance. However, the mediating effects of goals and innovative-support factors were not significant statistically. It was confirmed that the organization can contribute to improve the team innovation performance by facilitating a autonomy and participative climate as well as fostering the team characteristic.

  • The purpose of this study is to consider the formative characteristics of dance sports from such points of view as shapes, colors, material and decorations, and to examine artistic characteristics that are expressed through those elements. As a result, this study shows five artistic characteristics as follows; First, rhythmic characteristic is expressed with repeat of lines that is formed by pleats, shirring or gather, with duplication of ruffle's wave, with gradation of colors, with Moire-effect that is generated with overlap of see-through material, with glossy material that reflects lights to a great extent, with fringe. Second, bodily characteristic emphasizes the beauty of human bodies through direct or indirect body exposure by way of cut-and-open, see-throughness or close adhesion. Third, decorative characteristic is shown with beads, fringe, ruffle, embroidery, shirring, binding, or feather. Fourth, the beauty of female body is manifested to express eroticism, which is culminated by body exposure, body consciousness, use of illuminating or see-through material or colorful trimming. Finally, elegant characteristic is revealed through feminity, sophistication, and harmony that are expressed with black and white colors, see-through material, or bead trimmings.

Determination of Soil Water Characteristic Curve and Permeability Equation of Unsaturated Soils Using Modified Triaxial Apparatus (변형된 삼축시험장치를 이용한 불포화토의 함수특성곡선과 투수계수방정식의 결정)

  • In studying unsaturated soil mechanics, determination of soil water characteristic curve and permeability equation though not easy, is an essential factor. In this research a new testing apparatus was developed to determine soil water characteristic curve and permeability equation. A test to get saturated permeability coefficients and soil water characteristic curves for two soils was performed by using the developed testing apparatus. First, a saturated permeability test was performed and then the test to get soil water characteristic curve of a drying process was performed. Next, the test to get soil water characteristic curve of a wetting process was performed. Test results showed hysteresis phenomena between soil water characteristic curve of a drying process and soil water characteristic curve of a wetting process. The permeability equations were determined by a theoretical method where a saturated permeability coefficient and a soil water characteristic curve were used.

Radiation Dose Comparison according to Different Organ Characteristics at Same Scan Parameters Using CareDose 4D: An Adult and Pediatric Phantom Evaluation (CareDose 4D 사용 시 동일한 스캔조건에서 조직기반설정을 다르게 적용함에 따른 선량 비교: 성인과 소아팬텀 연구)

  • CareDose 4D which is the Siemens's Automatic Exposure Control (AEC) can adjust the level of radiation dose distribution which is based on organ characteristic unlike other manufacturer's AEC. Currently, a wide scan range containing different organs is sometimes examined at once (defined as one scan). The purpose of this study was to figure out which organ characteristic option is suitable when one scan method is utilized. Two types of anthropomorphic phantoms were scanned in the same range which were from frontal bone to carina level according to three different organ characteristics such as Thorax, Abdomen, and Neck. All scans and image reconstruction parameters were equally applied and radiation dose were compared. Radiation dose with Thorax organ characteristic was lower than that with Neck. Also, that with Abdomen oran characteristic was lower than Thorax. There were significant differences in radiation dose according to different organ characteristics at the same parameters (P<0.05). Usage of Neck organ characteristic had a result of the highest radiation dose to all phantom. On the other hand, utilization of Abdomen organ characteristic showed the lowest radiation dose. As a result, it is desirable to set appropriate organ characteristic according to examined body part when you checkup patients. Also, when you implement one scan method, selection of Abdomen-based organ characteristic has reduced more radiation dose compared with two different organ characteristic.
