The objective of this study is theoretical and empirical evaluation of the flexural performance of concrete filled pretensioned spun high strength concrete pile with ring type composite shear connectors (CFP pile). The specimens are comprised of standard CFP pile, PHC pile+composite shear connector+filed concrete (CFP-N-N), standard CFP pile with $1^{st}$ reinforcements (H13-8ea), and standard CFP pile with $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ reinforcements(H19-8ea). Flexural performance evaluation results showed that the ductility is improved with increased steel ratio, which leads to the increased maximum load by 46.4% (with $1^{st}$ reinforcement) and 103.9% (with $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ reinforcements) compared to standard CFP ( CFP-N-N). Comparing with the predicted ultimate limit state values of the CFP pile design method and the experimental results, the design method presented in this study is reasonable since safety factor of 1.23 and 1.40 times for each reinforcement step are secured.

Rice bran is byproducts of the hulling of rice, an important food resource in Korea. Various studies have been reported immune-enhancing effects of rice bran cultured with Lentinus edodes. In particular black rice bran contains anthocyanin, and the effects of antioxidant have been reported. The objective of the this study was to investigate the possible immune-enhancing effects of black rice bran substance extracted from a submerged culture of Lentinus edodes with black rice bran (crude fermentation-polysaccharide, CFP) and products(crude fermentation-polysaccharide-S. cerevisiae CFP-S, crude fermentation-polysaccharide-L. gasseri, CFP-L) which are of secondary fermentation of by using Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Lactobacillus gasseri in the Blab/c male mice. We found that supplementation of CFP, CFP-S and CFP-L enhanced macrophage and splenocyte proliferation compared to the control group(NC) in mice. Also, we measured the concentration of cytokines(IFN-${\gamma}$, TNF-${\alpha}$, IL-6) secreted by activated macrophage and splenocyte. The results of the experiment are that supplementation of CFP and CFP-S increased the macrophage and splenocyte proliferation compared to the control group but supplementation of CFP-L decreased the splenoyte proliferation compared to the control group(without mitogen and treated with LPS). When macrophage and splenocyte were stimulated by CFP and CFP-S supplementation, it was increased IFN-${\gamma}$, TNF-${\alpha}$ and IL-6 concentration compared with the control group. These results suggest that the capacity of CFP and CFP-S seem to act as a potent immune modulator causing augmentation of immune cell activity, and enhance the immue function through regulating cytokine production capacity by activated macrophage and splenocyte in mice.
The superframe structure of IEEE 802.15.4, an international standard for low rate WPAN, is composed of CAP(Contention access period) and CFP(Contention free period). CAP is the contention-based access period, while CFP is contention-free access period for supporting QoS by allocating fixed bandwidth. The standard can support QoS for only a few devices, because the maximum number of GTSs is 7. Furthermore, as the value of BO (Beacon order) or SO (Superframe order) increases, the size of a time slot increases. This makes it difficult to precisely allocate bandwidth for any device, because the bandwidth is allocated by the unit of GTS. The proposed scheme of this paper can reduce the waste of BW in CFP by adaptively reducing the size of a time slot in CFP as the value of BO or SO increases and increase the number of GTSs to 127 by modifying the standard. The performance analysis shows that the proposed scheme can dramatically increase the bandwidth utilization during the CFP when comparing with IEEE 802.15.4.

Corn fiber protein (CFP) was extracted from corn wet-milling by-product, corn fiber. CFP films containing various plasticizers and cross-linking agents were prepared and their mechanical properties were determined. Among the plasticizers and cross-linking agents used in this study, the CFP film containing 2 g fructose and 0.03% cinnamaldehyde had the most appropriate physical property. In addition, the CFP films containing green tea extract (GTE) were prepared by incorporating different amounts (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5%) of GTE into the film-forming solution. Tensile strength, film solubility, and opacity of the CFP films increased with the addition of GTE, whereas elongation and water vapor permeability of the CFP/GTE films decreased compared to those of the control. The antioxidant activity of the CFP/GTE film was determined in terms of 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging activity. As a result, antioxidant activity of the films increased with increasing GTE concentration. Furthermore, antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli O157:H7, Listeria monocytogenes, and Staphylococcus aureus increased with increasing GTE concentration. These results indicate that the incorporation of GTE could enhance antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of the CFP films.
Broadcast-based data delivery has attracted a lot of attention as an efficient way of disseminating data to very large client populations. The main motivation of broadcast-based information systems (BBISs) is that the number of clients that they serve can grow arbitrarily large without any effect on their performance. The performance of BBISs depends mainly on client caching strategies and on data broadcast scheduling mechanisms. This paper addresses the former issue and proposes a new client cache management scheme, named 2Q-CFP, that is suitable to BBISs. This paper also evaluates the performance of 2Q-CFP on the basis of a simulation model. The performance results indicate that 2Q-CFP scheme shows superior performances over GRAY, LRU and CF in the average response time.
Spectrophotometric investigation of the interaction of Cefpodoxime proxetil (CFP) with $Ca^{2+},\;Mg^{2+},\;Mn^{2+},\;Fe^{3+},\;Co^{2+},\;Ni^{2+},\;Cu^{2+}$ and $Zn^{2+}$ in acidic medium showed the formation of 1:1 complex. The absorption spectrum of pure drug exhibits two prominent peaks at 270 and 345 nm. Its spectra scanned at several pH exhibited two isosbestic points (305 and 330 nm) indicating the presence of zwitterionic condition of drug in solution phase. The fluorescence emission spectra of CFP in presence of different concentrations of metal ions showed enhancement in fluorescence intensity which is ascribed to chelating enhancement fluorescence effect (CHEF). The stoichiometry of the complexes was determined by Job’s and Benesi-Hildebrand method. The stability of the complexes follow the order $Ca^{2+}\;<\;Mg^{2+}\;<\;Co^{2+}\;<\;Ni^{2+}\;<\;Zn^{2+}\;<\;Mn^{2+}\;<\;Cu^{2+}\;<\;Fe^{3+}$.
This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of the addition of different levels of CFP (Cordyceps with fly pupa) on growth performance in broiler chickens. 400 broiler chicks (Ross 308, 1 day old) were sorted randomly into 4 treatment groups and fed experimental diets for 35 days. The treatment groups were divided into a control group not fed with CFP (T1), and treatment groups fed with CFP 2.0% (T2), CFP 3.5% (T3), and CFP 5.0% (T4). Although the broilers' weight gain and feed efficiency were significantly higher (p<0.05) in the T3 group throughout the entirety of the test period, no statistically significant differences were noted among the T1 and T2, T4 groups. Triglyceride in the blood, total cholesterol, and LDL-C were significantly lower in the CFP treatment groups than in the control group (p<0.05). The blood lipid reduction rate ranged from 5.32 to 10.63% for triglycerides, from 9.23 to 12.62% for total cholesterol, and from 44.67 to 53.81% for LDL-C in the CFP treatment groups relative to the control group. The abdominal fat weight ratio was reduced significantly in the CFP treatment groups (p<0.05) compared with the control group, with a reduction rate range of 17.67-21.68%. Broiler carcass weight, carcass rate, and ratios of breast muscle, skin and thigh muscle weights to carcass weight were significantly higher in the T3 group, and statistically significant differences were noted among the T1 and T2, T4 groups (p<0.05). Enteropathogenic E.coli and Salmonella were lower in the CFP treatment groups than in the control group, whereas the beneficial bacteria Bifidobacteria were significantly higher in the CFP treatment groups than in the control group (p<0.05). These findings suggest that the Cordyceps with fly pupa can improve the carcass characteristics and body weight gain in broiler chickens.
Generally, wear plate is steel plate having improved surface contact strength and impact strength by surface hardening which is welded using materials with good corrosion resistance, wear resistance and thermal resistance property. CFP GMAW(Compound Filler Plate Gas Metal Arc Welding) is the cladding method using GMAW with the CFP, which is bound with waterglass, on the substrate. It has advantages of reducing compound powder loss, uniform penetration, and preventing hardness decrease. To develope mass production technique of CFP GMAW process for production of high quality wear plate, the method for controling shallow penetration and increasing productivity is required. In this study, twin torch method applied to CFP GMAW process for increasing productivity. And the method was developed by controling penetration control, CFP dry time, gas formation flux and water glass concentration. As a result, applying twin torch method to CFP GMAW process was possible and high quality wide bead could be made without overlap joint.
In this paper, we performed the analysis of transmission performance for Collision Free Period(CFP) supported by the low-power communication technology, IEEE 802.15.4 MAC (Media Access Control). For the analysis, periodic traffic, original service target of CFP, is considered and, according to the Quality of Service required, packet arrival pattern to MAC layer is categorized as batch and non-batch, and analysis on throughput, delay, and energy is performed for those patterns. On the basis of the obtained analysis, performance comparison with Collision Avoidance Period(CAP) is carried out for the health care applications that generate periodic traffic such as Pedometer, ECG, EMG. The evaluation confirms that CFP is more energy efficient for healthcare applications that generate periodic and time-critical traffic and moreover for the application with high bandwidth requirement CFP achieves up to 46% energy savings compared to CAP.
Fenton process is one of the most effective advanced oxidation processes for the removal of pollutants from wastewater. In this study, while ferrous iron was used in conventional Fenton process (CFP); nano-sized iron(II, III) oxide was experienced in modified Fenton process (MFP) as a new catalyst alternative. In order to enhance their oxidation efficiencies, both CFP and MFP were combined with ultrasonication at 53 kHz fixed frequency. Thus, the influences of both catalyst iron species and ultrasonication on color and chemical oxygen demand (COD) removals from synthetic textile wastewater including Maxilon Red GRL 200% dyestuff were investigated experimentally. While the COD and color removal rates were found as 72.5% and 69.7% via CFP; they were 87% and 75.8% by ultrasonicated CFP, respectively. The color and COD removals were 40.6% and 64.8% via MFP, and 49.9 and 73.1% by ultrasonicated MFP, respectively. Therefore, it was found that the simultaneously usage of ultrasonication with CFP and MFP was improved the COD and color removal efficiencies and oxidation rates even at lower H2O2 dosages, compared to individual CFP and MFP. Moreover, the color and COD removal kinetics were also modelled mathematically and compared in the study.
