Robust and Reliable $H_\infty$ Control for Linear Systems with Parameter Uncertainty (파라메타 불확실성을 갖는 선형시스템에 대한 강한 신뢰 $H_\infty$제어)

  • In this paper, a robust and reliable H$_{\infty}$ control problem is considered for linear uncertain systems with time-varying norm-bounded uncertainty in the state matrix, which performs well despite of actuator outages. Using linear static state feedback and the quadratic stabilization with H$_{\infty}$-norm bound, a robust and reliable H$_{\infty}$ controller is obtained that stabilizes the plant and guarantees an H$_{\infty}$-norm bound constraint on disturbance attenuation for all admissible uncertainties and normal state as well as faulty state of actuators. It provides a sufficient condition for robust and reliable stabilization with H$_{\infty}$-norm bound. Reliability is guaranteed provided actuator outages only occur within a prespecified subset of actuators.tors.

  • In the paper is proposed a hierarchical adaptive fuzzy controller for balancing and position control of the inverted pendulum system. Because balancing control rules of the pendulum and position control rules of the cart can be opposite, it is difficult to design an adaptive fuzzy controller that satisfy both objectives. To stabilize the pendulum at a specified position, the hierarchical adaptive fuzzy controller consists of a robust indirect adaptive fuzzy controller for balancing, a forced disturbance generator which emulates heuristic control strategy, and a supervisory decision maker for the arbitration of two control objectives It is proved that all the signals in the overall system are bounded. Simulation results are given to verify the proposed adapt i ye fuzzy control method.

  • This paper deals with the design of the adaptive controller using a decentralized control for Large-Scale system formed of an arbitrary interconnection of subsystem with unknown parameters, non linearity and bounded disturbance. In order to reduce the load and frequency deviations, now decentralized adaptive controllers are developed for stabilization and tracking the parameters. In the simulation studies of the decentralized adaptive control of a two-area interconnected power system, the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive is demonstrated.

  • This paper presents the design of a now controller for the read/write head of a hard disk drive. The general controller for seeking is the time-optimal control. However if we use only the time optimal control law, this could be vulnerable to chattering effect. To solve this problem, we propose a modified controller design algorithm in this paper. The proposed controller consists of bang-bang control for seeking and sliding-mode control for tracking. Moreover, to test the robustness and stability of control system, a bounded disturbance is selected to maximize a severity index. Simulation results show the superiority of the proposed controller through comparison with time optimal VSC(variable structure control).

  • In this paper, the decentralized adaptive control scheme is applied to the control of drum type boiler system. Because the scheme requires the stability of interconnections, static feedback is used to satisfy the requirement of the scheme. From a priori knowledge of the system, system parameter estimates are bounded to prevent parameter drifting. Computer simulation shows that the decentralized adaptive control is suitable for the control of drum type boiler system and robust in the presence of disturbance.

  • This paper proposes a nonlinear adaptive controller based on back-stepping method for tracking reference substrate concentration by manipulating dilution rate in a continuous baker´s yeast cultivating process in stirred tank bioreactor. Control law is obtained from Lyapunov control function to ensure asymptotical stability of the system. The Haldane model for the specific growth rate depending on only substrate concentration is used in this paper. Due to the uncertainty of specific growth rate, it has been modified as a function including the unknown parameter with known bounded values. The substrate concentration in the bioreactor and feed line are measured.   • Under the condition of stable inverse a billinear model predictive control method for SISO and MIMO system with time delay is derived. For processes subject to a bounded disturbance the proposed control method with a classical recursive adaptation algorithm was shown to be stable in the sense of the convergence of parameter estimates and the boundedness of the control error. Several simulation results demonstrate the characteristics of the proposed bilinear model predictive control method.

  • This paper considers an optimal control problem for a remote control to an electrical drive system with a DC motor. Since it is a linear control system with time-delay subject to unknown but bounded disturbance, we construct a worst-case feedback control policy. This policy can guarantee that, for all admissible uncertain disturbances, the real system state should be in a prescribed neighborhood of a desired value, and the cost functional takes the best guarantee value. The worst-case feedback control policy is allowed to be corrected at one correction point between the initial to the final time, which is equivalent to solving a 1-level min-max problem. Since the min-max problem at the stage does not yield a simple analytical solution, we consider an approximate control policy, which is equivalent and can be solved explicitly m the numerical experiments.

  • This paper deals with the decentralized robust adaptive controller design for large-scale interconnected systems. We consider an arbitrary interconnection of subsystems with unkown parameters and bounded disturbances. When the disturbance and uncertain interconnections are present, the stability of the controlled large scale system is ensured if there exists a positive definite M-matrix which is related to the bound of the interconnections. The possible bound of the interconnections is assumed to be known Pth order polynomials for the decentralized adaptive controller. A modified adaptive law is proposed guaranteeing the existence of a region of attraction from which all signals converge to a residual set Do, which contains the equilibrium.
