Clinical photography is an essential component of patient care in plastic surgery. The use of unsecured smartphone cameras, digital cameras, social media, instant messaging, and commercially available cloud-based storage devices threatens patients' data safety. This paper Identifies potential risks of clinical photography and heightens awareness of safe clinical photography. Specifically, we evaluated existing risk-mitigation strategies globally, comparing them to industry standards in similar settings, and formulated a framework for developing a risk-mitigation plan for avoiding data breaches by identifying the safest methods of picture taking, transfer to storage, retrieval, and use, both within and outside the organization. Since threats evolve constantly, the framework must evolve too. Based on a literature search of both PubMed and the web (via Google) with key phrases and child terms (for PubMed), the risks and consequences of data breaches in individual processes in clinical photography are identified. Current clinical-photography practices are described. Lastly, we evaluate current risk mitigation strategies for clinical photography by examining guidelines from professional organizations, governmental agencies, and non-healthcare industries. Combining lessons learned from the steps above into a comprehensive framework that could contribute to national/international guidelines on safe clinical photography, we provide recommendations for best practice guidelines. It is imperative that best practice guidelines for the simple, safe, and secure capture, transfer, storage, and retrieval of clinical photographs be co-developed through cooperative efforts between providers, hospital administrators, clinical informaticians, IT governance structures, and national professional organizations. This would significantly safeguard patient data security and provide the privacy that patients deserve and expect.

지식경영은 조직의 중요한 자원인 지식을 개발, 수집, 체계화, 이용 및 활용이라는 프로세스를 통해서 지식을 체계적으로 관리하는 것이다. 지식은 조직의 지식자산으로서 조직의 경쟁력을 강화시키는 중요하기 요소이기 때문에 어떻게 조직 내에서 지식공유를 활성화할 것이냐가 조직의 당면과제이다. 지식공유활동은 제약하는 요소를 감안하지 않고 지식공유와 팀 협력을 시도하는 것은 조직의 지식경영문화 증진을 오히려 저해할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 조직 내에서 지식공유활동을 제약하는 문제점을 개인적 측면과 사회적 측면에서 파악하고 효과적인 지식공유도구로서 실행공동체 활용모형을 제안한다. 제안된 실행공동체 활용모형에서는 지식공유활동 저해요소를 극복하고 지식공유활동을 활성화할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 또한, 제안된 모형을 적용한 철강회사의 실행공동체 활용 우수사례를 소개한다. 마지막으로 구체적인 사례분석을 통해서 조직 내에서 지식공유를 활성화하기 위한 방법으로 실행공동체의 적용가능성과 효과성을 가늠해본다.

Recently, construction projects are very complicated and diverse such as high-rise buildings and big bridges, etc. These complicated projects call for a system which can effectively generate productive ideas and activities. Value Engineering (V.E.) activity within construction projects is a necessity for systematic design management and to improve construction ability. This need in the construction industry has required a regular implementation of VE into construction projects. For this reason; America, South Korea, and some other nations have adopted VE applications which control the baseline investments of the construction projects. The process of VE activity is a preferred system and a reasonable alternative. In particular, idea generation within these projects is an important stage in the VE job plan. In this study, VE idea patterns are extracted through best practice analysis from VE cases of road construction projects. Next, we suggest an idea hierarchy model to be used in conjunction with VE idea patterns. This model is supported by reasonable idea generation in VE activity of construction projects. Finally, this model could possibly be the outcome of successful VE results.

Project-based joint ventures are often used in the construction industry to assemble an organization that meets a client's project needs and matches or exceeds the capacities of competitors. The joint venture / partnerships provides the means for a firm to quickly add resource, political, technical, or other required strengths that will increase project acquisition. This paper sets out to study the types of joint ventures, different issues or problems while having joint ventures and the critical factors that contribute to successful joint ventures. A questionnaire was designed and administered to survey the issues and present practices of joint ventures in the South Florida construction industry. Along with the questionnaire, personnel interviews were also conducted to get first hand knowledge about the subject matter. The results are presented in the paper. These results specifically identify the overall practice of joint ventures in South Florida as well as indicate the most significant factors leading to failure or success of these ventures.

건설 산업의 속성상 프로젝트의 성과를 정량적으로 분석하기 위해서는 다양한 영향인자에 대한 고려가 필수적이다. 프로젝트의 특성과 성과와의 관계를 파악하고, 프로젝트에 가장 적합한 관리기법을 적용시켜서 프로젝트의 성과를 향상시키기 위해서는 성과관련 정보를 축적시켜 관리하기 위한 시스템적인 접근이 요구되고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 많은 성과관련 시스템들은 성과결과의 분석에만 치중하여 프로젝트의 특성이나 관리기법 등 성과에 영향을 미치는 인자에 대한 심도 있는 분석방법과 접근방식에 대한 고려 부족으로 인해 성과시스템의 활발한 적용을 기대할수 없었다. 이에 본 연구는 건설 프로젝트의 특성을 고려하여 성과를 사전에 예측하고 성과체계를 정량적으로 모델링할수 있는 성과정보시스템을 개발하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 실제 사례프로젝트의 성과관련 정보를 바탕으로 성과결과와 프로젝트 특성, 관리기법 간의 상관관계를 분석함으로써 해당 프로젝트에 가장 적합한 관리기법을 도출할수 있는 방안을 수립하였다. 그 결과, 성과영역별로 다양한 관점에서 프로젝트의 성과비교가 가능할 수 있는 정량화 방안을 정립하였고, 상관관계 분석을 통해 성과예측이 가능한 모델을 제안하였으며, 기존 데이터 분석을 통해 최적 관리기법을 선정할수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다. 웹기반 프로그램으로 구축된 시스템은 향후 데이터베이스의 지속한 관리와 보완을 통해서 성과정보의 양을 확대시킨다면 통계적으로 유의미한 결과를 바탕으로 신뢰성 있는 프로젝트 성과 관리를 도모할수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

본 연구는 근거중심 문헌정보실무의 개념과 연구방법 및 동향을 분석하여 국내 적용가능성을 살펴보기 위한 기초연구로 수행되었다. 근거중심 문헌정보실무는 실무에서 문제해결과 업무수행 향상을 위해 신뢰성 있는 연구 결과의 활용을 촉진함으로써 연구와 실무 간에 근본적으로 존재하는 격차를 줄이기 위한 운동이다. 근거중심 문헌정보실무는 초기에 의학도서관을 중심으로 수행되었으나 점차로 대학, 전문, 학교도서관으로 확대되었으며 연구 주제 또한 이용자연구, 평가에 한정되었던 것이 경영, 장서, 서비스 등 도서관 서비스 전분야로 확대되고 있다. 근거중심 문헌정보실무의 수행은 특정한 문제해결을 위한 다양한 연구 결과의 검색, 선정, 평가, 활용의 과정이 이루어진다. 또한 가장 높은 수준의 연구결과인 비평적 리뷰의 생산과정을 정형화함으로써 기존 연구의 체계적인 평가를 수행함과 동시에 새로운 연구통합 방법을 제시하고 있다.

본 연구의 목적은 실무현장에서 필요로 하는 구체적, 실용적 정보화 투자 사전평가방법론을 제공하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 현재 시점에서 Best practice로 인식되고 있는 4개 조직의 사전평가 제도, 방법론, 수행사례를 벤치마킹하고, 그 프로세스, 지표, 측정기법을 통합하여 일관성있는 방법론 체계로 재구성하였다. 본 연구에서 선택한 Best practice 사례는 각각 민간기업과 공공조직, 서비스 분야와 제조 분야, 평가체계와 개별 평가사례를 대표한다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구의 사전평가방법론은 크게 3단계로 구성되어 있다. 1단계 투자계획 타당성 분석에서는 제안된 정보화 계획 자체의 타당성을 사업계획 충실성, 추진의지, 투자비용 적정성, 중복투자, 조달가능성, 리스크 등의 관점에서 판단한다. 그리고 2단계에서는 정보화가 창출하는 효과의 타당성을 경제적, 전략적, 기술적 관점에서 분석하며, 3단계에서는 다양한 관점의 평가결과를 정량적으로 종합 평점화한다. 이 방법론은 Best practice사례가 축적한 수년간의 노하우와 검증된 가이드라인을 담고 있으며, 특히 리스크 분석, 화폐가치 산출, 종합평점 산출을 위한 정량화 기법은 여러 기업의 사전평가 담당자에게 유용한 참조모델을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 이 연구는 그 동안 여러 기업들이 개별적으로 제기해 오던 문의와 요청에 대한 일괄적 대응으로 이해할 수 있다.

The purpose of this research is to introduce the best practice of the Japanese national dementia strategy and explore implications to the Korean national dementia strategy. Interview was conducted among professions those who is in charge of Kumamoto dementia care practice in Kumamoto province, upon review of related literature and public documents. The Kumamoto model is implemented by the department of neuropsychiatry in public university hospitals, which can offer dementia-specialized medical services. Medical centers for dementia in public university hospitals play a leading role for managing practice and training local dementia centers specialist, coordinating medical services among medical institutions and community welfare facilities. In reference to the Kumamoto model, the Korean national dementia strategy can find implications in the direction of current system, specifically its approaches toward policy governance.

Since manufacturing and supplying corporations today come to view their practice of SCM as important, it becomes essential to analyze and control the structural relationship between the information sharing among corporations and the performances resulting from their practice of SCM. It is thus the purpose of this paper to examine the factors that may prompt corporations to implement SCM by means of analyses into the relationship between information sharing and practice of SCM which corporations should lay stress on as well as the relationship between financial and non-financial performances of corporations. The findings of the study can be summed up as follows: First, as for the relationship between information sharing among and practice of SCM by corporations, information sharing among corporations turned out to affect such factors of implementing their SCM as trust, commitment mutual dependence. Consequently, corporations are requested to endeavor to implement SCM itself faithfully if they really aim to achieve their performances by practice of SCM and, at the same time, to make efforts to obtain understanding and support for information sharing among themselves. Second, from the analysis of the relationship between SCM and financial as well as non-financial performances of corporations, it was found that trust, a factor of SCM practice, had influence upon non-financial performances of corporations, but not upon their financial performances, while commitment and mutual dependence affected both financial and non-financial achievements of corporations. Therefore, it was made clear from the analysis that the decision and systematic control of SCM activities which best suit to a corporation play an important role in improving its financial and non-financial performances, because they greatly depend on the implementing extent of SCM factors such as trust, commitment and mutual dependence among corporations.

Change orders represent one of the largest sources of cost growth on construction projects, but an efficient change management control system can help the projects steer clear of the constant construction changes. This study was performed to achieve a better understanding of all changes and to develop a new set of Best Practices using process mapping techniques. The project data for this research were collected from case studies of aviation projects implemented in Houston, Texas at Bush Intercontinental Airport. The findings and contributions of this research should help owners and project managers determine and identify major causes that impact project budget and schedule and implement solutions prior to them surfacing.
