  • Combustion of RDF and wastewater sludge was performed in a 0.1MWth bench scale circulating fluidized bed combustor(CFBC), Combustion characteristics of the RDF and sludge mixture demonstrated stable combustion conditions. Component analysis, Combustion characteristics was measured before and after the test, and applications for commercial 1MWe CFBC boiler were prepared. The release of hazardous components such as $SO_2$ and HCl was relatively low values of 50 and 150ppm, respectively.

  • This paper presented to phenanthrene removal of electrokinetic(EK) remediation and enhanced EK remediation with bench scale test. The experiments were carried out on mixture soil with phenanthrene as the test compound. The EK remediation experiments were conducted under controlled voltage. Surfactant solution was constantly supplied at the anode reservoir with constant concentration. Results showed that phenanthrene was removed little in EK remediation. Surfactant helped phenanthrene moving and cumulated in cathode region. Moving effect was increased with surfactant concentration.

  • The iterative learning operation has been utilized in the temperature Control of a batch reactor. A generic form of feedback-assisted first-order learning control scheme was constructed and then various design and operation modes were derived through convergence and robustness analysis in the frequency domain. The proposed learning control scheme was then implemented on a bench scale batch reactor with the heat of reaction simulated by an electric heater. The results show a great improvement in the performance of control as the number of batch operations progressed.

  • It is said that the verification effort occupies about 50-70 percent of the total effort of a System-On-A-Chip. This paper aims to develop a test bench automation tool based on the abstraction of the interface protocols. This tool will allow designers to describe their test benches in a high level language such as C rather than VHDL or Verilog. It helps designers to save their verification time and effort.

  • The iterative learning control synthesized in the frequency domain has been utilized for temperature control of a batch reactor. For this purpose, a feedback-assisted generalized learning control scheme was constructed first, and the convergence and robustness analyses were conducted in the frequency domain. The feedback-assisted learning operation was then implemented in a bench scale batch reactor where reaction heat is simulated using an electric heater. As a result, progressive reduction of temperature control error could be obviously observed as batch operation is repeated.

  • This study aims to predict the particle size of blasted rock. For this purpose, Predicted particle sizes were compared with the measured particle sizes at the rock blasting sites, where various blasting patterns which controls the bench height, depth of blasted hole, burden, spacing etc were tested. the difference of mean fragment size between measured and predicted values was 0.11m.

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 운용되고 있는 bench급 석탄가스화공정 전체에 대하여 개발된 동적모델을 사용하여, 대상공정에 포함된 조작변수들의 변동에 따른 주요 공정변수들의 동특성 해석 및 대상공정의 제어로직 설계에 활용된 결과를 설명하였다. 가스화기의 부하변동에 따른 주요 공정변수들의 변동경향 및 시상수에 대한 신뢰성 있는 모사결과를 얻을 수 있었으며, 개발된 모델을 사용하여 cascade 및 ratio 방식의 온도제어로직을 설계하였고, 실공정 적용실험을 통하여 모사결과 및 안정된 운전특성을 검증할 수 있었다.
