We have performed a short-term computer information and communication technology education using Arduino. The purpose of this education was to progress basic training interestingly and discover excellent students. Training was about practicing basic examples about H/W, S/W, communication, and solving creative tasks. We divided training participants into a team composed of each 3 members and educated them for 10 hours. Instructors were consists of 1 main teacher and 3 teacher assistants. Training was about assembling Arduino based robot, blinking LED, operating speaker, serial communication, producing software for wireless communications and autonomous of robot, and control hardware of robot. Through this study, we developed a meaningful ICT integrated curriculum which has high usefulness in a short period. Students participated in this education completed 96% out of 10 creative tasks, and this study analyzes the result of curriculum and suggests further research directions.

The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the job characteristics and competencies of a head-cook in contracted foodservice management company, identify the knowledge, abilities, skills and other characteristics (KASO) required to perform the duties of a head-cook, and provide training content and develop training program for job of head-cook in contract foodservice management company (CFMC). A survey instrument including identified KASO was used in the study. The questionnaire was delivered by using e-mail to 165 head-cooks employed by CFMC. The factor analysis resulted in a three-factor structure of the instrument such as 'basic foodservice operation duties' 'personal characteristics' 'managing of expanded duties-menu, customer and business'. This result suggested the education and training program for head-cook in CFMC should be composed of 'basic foodservice operation duties' on 'bulk preparation', 'procurement, inventory management', 'facility and equipment management', and 'sanitation and safety management', 'personal characteristics' on 'personality management' and 'moral duties', and 'managing of expanded duties-menu, customer and business' on 'menu management', 'customer service management', 'cost management', and 'administrative ability'. Therefore, it will be expected that the management of human resources in the contract foodservice industry would be developed by the application of recommended education and training program.

Purpose: This study was done to examine the effects and retention of the American Heart Association (AHA)'s basic cardiac life support (BLS) training on knowledge and skills of nursing college students. Method: The study was a one group pretest-posttest experimental design. The sample included 41 junior nursing students from D college who participated in an AHA BLS course for healthcare providers in K hospital from January 18 to June 7, 2010. The instruction was based on ‘BLS knowledge and skills'. The data were analyzed with paired t-test using the SPSS/PC 12.0 win. Result: First, knowledge (t=-7.648, p=.000) and skills (t=-12.988, p=.000) were significantly increased immediately after BLS training. Second, knowledge (t=4.098, p=.000) and skills (t=50.350, p=.000) of BLS after 4 months was significantly decreased compared to right after BLS training. Conclusion: Knowledge and skills were decreased 4 months after BLS training. Therefore, retraining in BLS is required within 4 months. To maintain the knowledge and skills of BLS, appropriate renewal time and retraining programs are needed.

A drone market is growing fast. Nevertheless, basic drone flight training contents are not actively developing or studying. For solving this problem, first, the researcher has studied a method of training basic drone flight skills and analyzed various existing drone training contents. Then, the researcher designed a game via the researched method above that trains drone flight skills. The modern gamepad, like an Xbox controller, was key mapped to operate as a standard drone radio controller. Further research will develop drone training content for specialized purpose fields.

Construction industry has a relatively higher accident rate compared to other industries, especially the serious accident rate including death. Ministry of Employment and Labor has not only implemented safety consciousness but also initiated the basic occupational safety and health training for the construction industry. Despite the effort, only a few sites follow the obligatory task and there are reports stating the effect of the education is minimal. As a result, this research aims to determine and analyze the current state of the basic occupational safety and health training including its lesson plan and method. Furthermore, by analyzing the preliminary study on the effective instructional method, this research suggests an effective method to implement safety consciousness to the workers. An improvement plan is also suggested by supplying appropriate educational material to different workers by differentiating the characteristics and the cause of death at various work types in construction sites.

In this paper, as a liberal arts course for non-majors, we proposed a supervised learning artificial neural network parameter optimization method and a basic education method for activation function to design a basic artificial neural network subject curriculum. For this, a method of finding a parameter optimization solution in a spreadsheet without programming was applied. Through this training method, you can focus on the basic principles of artificial neural network operation and implementation. And, it is possible to increase the interest and educational effect of non-majors through the visualized data of the spreadsheet. The proposed contents consisted of artificial neurons with sigmoid and ReLU activation functions, supervised learning data generation, supervised learning artificial neural network configuration and parameter optimization, supervised learning artificial neural network implementation and performance analysis using spreadsheets, and education satisfaction analysis. In this paper, considering the optimization of negative parameters for the sigmoid neural network and the ReLU neuron artificial neural network, we propose a training method for the four performance analysis results on the parameter optimization of the artificial neural network, and conduct a training satisfaction analysis.

Recently, there are lacks of construction workers, and such vacancy has been continuously increased in many construction sites. Foreign workers have been hired to fill such vacancy, but increasingly high demands for construction workers made construction companies to hire foreign workers who did not properly pass the health and safety education program. In this work, problems associated with the basic education program for occupational safety and health training, which is the first mandatory requirement for foreign workers, were evaluated to suggest applicable solutions for this program. Literature reviews and preliminary investigations were performed, and a questionnaire survey was conducted for practitioners who were in charge of safety management in various construction sites. Results from survey were analyzed to derive proper methods for improvement on basic education on occupational safety and health training program. It is believed that suggested solution from this work can make foreign workers to be more conscious about health and safety issues, so that it will eventually decrease the accident rate in construction sites.

This study was to develop improving vocational basic skill program and content which are basic of instruction-learning ability for the vocational education substantiality. To pursue this goal, 'interpersonal relation capability' among vocational basic skills was developed through the research methodology and procedure. The interpersonal relation capability was selected as one of vocational basic skill areas when it was more effective by e-learning contents through literature review, expert conference etc. The interpersonal relation capability can be harmony with persons under performing business tasks. In this study, interpersonal relation capability was programmed a interpersonal scheme, a cooperative capability, a leadership capability, a conflict management, negotiation capability, a customer service capability. Especially this program was developed as a form of e-Learning contents focusing on improving problem solving under real case using multimedia strategies such as movies, simulation, game.

This stud was projected to develop the training course for VTS operators in Korea. The studying method was literature survey and questionnaire. It was properly used and analyzed that such as the concerned literature international symposium results and letters from Canada USA Japan and other countries in order to compare their contents This study proposed the basic training course for VTS operators in Korea on the basis of these data. and also concluded as followings. First the number and level of Korea VTS should be decided. Second the training organization and staff should be build and pointed. Third the VTS trainee should selected and the training level & period should be eatablished, Fourth The training should be the VTS training curriculum. Fifth The VTS operator certificate should be issued by proper test. But this need further study through the analysis for the questionnaire regarding to Korea VTS Training Program.

Objectives : Basic life support (BLS) is considered one of the essential clinical skills medical students should master. Nevertheless, neither the current state of education nor the educative effect of and attitudes toward BLS in Korean medical students have yet been reported. The aim of this study was to examine the educative effect of BLS training for Korean medical students in terms of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Methods : Surveys concerning attitudes toward BLS and its education, and tests for knowledge and scheme performance were conducted with 85 students in a college of Korean medicine under training for American Heart Association (AHA) BLS course for healthcare providers. Results : Before training, 70.6% of students answered they felt the necessity to be trained in the BLS course. The levels of confidence to perform and self-presumed knowledge on BLS were low at first. After training, however, the level of confidence and knowledge increased significantly. In the final test, the mean scores of written test and scheme performance significantly decreased, while the level of confidence didn't. Most of the participants answered they wanted to be re-trained under regular re-education system. Conclusions : To evaluate the current state of BLS education and its educative effect in Korean medical schools, it's required to expand the target of research to larger number of colleges and students over the country.
