The histogram specification turns the shape of a histogram into that we want to specify. This technique can be applied usefully in various image processing fields such as machine vision. However, the histogram specification technique has its basic limits. For instance, the histogram does not have location information of pixels. Also, the accuracy of the specification drops because of quantization errors of the digitized image. In this paper, we proposed a multiresolution histogram specification method in order to improve the accuracy of specification in terms of resemblance between destination and source image. The experimental results show that the proposed method enhances the accuracy of the specification compared to the conventional methods.

The histogram specification is to change the histogram shape of the image into the already defined shape. This technique can be applied usefully in various image processing fields which include a machine vision. However, the histogram specification technique has its basic limits. For example, the histogram does not have location information of pixel within the image and receives the digital image, which is stored through a quantization process, as an input. Namely, the accuracy of specification falls in the high-resolution image because the larger the resolution of image is becoming, the more the pixels having similar value are becoming. Therefore, we proposed the multiresolution histogram specification method for improving the accuracy of specification. Consequently, we can know that if the histogram specification is accomplished by using the proposed algorithm, destination image and source image were changed almost similarly.

Performance specifications leave out unnesessary “how to” or detail and give the manufacturer latitude to determine how to best meet our stated needs. This will increase MND's access to commercial, state-of-the-art technology. However, we find that it is too early to expand the use of performance specification due to the poor domestic infrastructure. To expand the use of performance specification in defense area, this paper suggests the basic principles about which items we should select and which procedeure we should follow.

Industrial structure is more developed, the economical value of human resources and the cases which risks worker's Health & Safety is expended. The Safety & Health issues are focused on elements of control for management activity simultaneously with work environment as well as the risk elements which risks worker's life and body. The activity for combination of basic management System and Safety & Health management is progressing with active discussion in ILO, BS 8800 is specified the guidance of Occupational Safety & Health Management System in UK. 1996. This research refers to BS 8800:1996, specification as a basic model, and introduce of the result of certification development result in Occupational Safety & Health management System with in ISO 14001 Environmental System Standards & ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standards and Systemic Factors. Through this applicability and efficiency evaluation, we make an effort to support and to improve the specification. Also applicability evaluation of Occupational Safety & Health management System and the specification developed for the purpose of the third party certification is applied with expending in industry, and the method is presented through the case which is required to support for method review and activities.

본 논문에서는 정확한 분석 모델을 제시하기 위해서 객체 모델을 정의하고, 이 모델을 정형화와 표준화에 필요한 형식명세로 변환하는 방법을 제안한다. VDM 형식으로 변환된 모델은 정확성, 일관성, 완전성을 제공할 수 있다. 증명의 대상인 VDM 명세에서 오류가 발생한다면 초기 객체 모델 단계에 적용하여 객체 모델의 검증이 가능하다. 검증된 객체 모델을 설계 단계의 기반 명세로 사용하므로 추후 개발 단계의 비용과 노력을 최소화하고 객체 모델 선택의 정확성을 높일 수 있다.

Recently, in various industrial field standardization and performance improvement are actively on going. Noise barrier is generally used to reduce railway noise. But the effectiveness of its use is low because of low level of technology development. In this basic study, test item and its specification are suggested for standardization of railway noise barrier.

Educational environment that change rapidly, trial and error of system, breakdown of school environment by this and private education expense increase etc. are big social problem that we are facing present. Government is enforcing recognizing these problems and develops various program but the change and expansion of school facilities to achieve various program such as those are still unprepared. Now, important agenda that is lifelong education concept that is always can reeducate with social problem such as school leaving is come to the fore. So, specification high school for vocational education and alternative education cope in educational system and educational environment that is changed newly in existent school system. As the beginning step of the purpose of research, this study compares the attempt of school types and change of the school operation system for alternative education by between Korea and Japan and survey some regional cases. And the specification high school for alternative education which correspond to changed educational environment newly and architectural planning of educational facility that can activate those will be done. Also, this study aims that propose basic data that raise school facilities and educational environment by establishing guide line of optimum facilities for specification high school that wish to reorganize again or establish newly using existent school facilities and presents.

The KSTAR(Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) superconducting magnet system consist of 16 TF(Toroidal Field) and 14 PF(Poloidal Field) coils. Internally-cooled cabled superconductors will be used for the magnet system. The magnet system adopt a superconducting CICC (Cable-In-Conduit Conductor) type. The KSTAR PF 6, 7 CICCs use NbTi Superconducting cable with stainless steel 316LN conduit while the other PF CICC use Incoloy 908 conduit. For the fabrication of PF CICC, superconducting cables have been fabricated and the cable has the diameter of 22.3mm. A continuous CICC jacketing system is developed for the CICC jacketing and the jacketing system uses the tube-mill process, which consists of forming, welding, sizing and squaring procedures. The cabling and the jacketing process is described. The welding condition and design specification of CICCs are also discussed. The fabrication results including the geometrical specification and the void fraction will be discussed.

This study analyzes the practical tasks and required competency for technical designers to provide basic data on the training of domestic technical designers. The survey was applied to 21 technical designers of big vendors as well as investigated tasks, task flow, important tasks, time-consuming tasks, and required competencies. The results of the study are as follows. First, the technical designers were in charge of several brands of buyers and distributors of fashion companies, or several lines of the same brand. The main production items were cut and sewn knits. Second, the flow of task and tasks were in the order of buyer comments analysis, sloper decision to matching style, sewing specification, productive sewing method research, size specification suggestion, pattern correction comments, construction decision to matching style & fabric, sample evaluations, fit approval, business e-mail writing, specification & grading confirmation, and communication with buyer. Third, five tasks (analysis of buyer comments analysis, communication with buyer, pattern correction comments, productive sewing methods research, sample evaluation) were important and time-consuming tasks. Fourth, reeducation was required in order of sewing, pattern, English, fabric, and fitting. Fifth, competencies to be a technical designers were fitting, pattern correction, size specification & grading, construction & sewing specification, sewing terms & techniques, and communication skills. In conclusion, technical designer training should focus on technology-based instruction, such as sample evaluation, fitting, pattern correction, and productive sewing methods research of cut and sewn knits.

A study to build a reliability model of electronic ballasts for the fluorescent lamp has been performed in this study. We selected the widely being used specification, MIL-HDBK-217 for the study. We briefly reviewed the basic concepts of the electronic ballast with the selected reliability specification. We then developed a reliability model for the ballast using MIL-HDBK-217 and predicted the reliability. We further provided some guides which should be considered in future model development.
