  • As globalization is widely expanded in Islamic world as well as huge capital like oil-money is looking for new investment areas, our government should keep eyes on the current situation of Muslim market. This study will focus on the research of operation model of Islamic insurance. It will analysis on the institutional aspects of Islamic insurance(Takaful) system, which is a step further on the basis of these previous researches about Islamic finance. Takaful is conducted with various machanism such as Wakala, Mudarabah, Waqf. The mechanism can also be intermingled with one another to form other diverse contracts. However most of them are focused on basic conceptual elements of Islamic insurance system. As public interests in Islamic insurance are increasing these days, many Islam related literatures are issued accordingly. But most of them were focused on basic aspect of Islamic financial system or on the study of business management structure. The conceptual approach to evaluate the Islamic insurance market shall become the foundation of operation in conventional business law and regulation penetrate to the Islamic business environment. Therefore, the research of the operation model in Islamic insurance system as well as the search of trade engineering basis.

  • Let {$X_{nk}$\mid$1\;{\leq}\;k\;{\leq}\;n,\;n\;{\geq}\;1$} be an array of row negatively associated (NA) random variables which satisfy $P($\mid$X_{nk}$\mid$\;>\;x)\;{\leq}\;P($\mid$X$\mid$\;>\;x)$. For weighed sums ${{\Sigma}_{k=1}}^{Tn}\;a_kX_{nk}$ indexed by random variables {$T_n$\mid$n\;{\geq}$1$}, we establish a general weak law of large numbers (WLLN) of the form $({{\Sigma}_{k=1}}^{Tn}\;a_kX_{nk}\;-\;v_{[nk]})\;/b_{[an]}$ under some suitable conditions, where $\{a_n$\mid$n\;\geq\;1\},\; \{b_n$\mid$n\;\geq\;1\}$ are sequences of constants with $a_n\;>\;0,\;0\;<\;b_n\;\rightarrow \;\infty,\;n\;{\geq}\;1$, and {$v_{an}$\mid$n\;{\geq}\;1$} is an array of random variables, and the symbol [x] denotes the greatest integer in x.

The basic wind speed, wind direction and turbulent intensity are studied at two measurement levels of the structure. The power spectral density of the typhoon is compared with the von Karman prediction, and the coherence between wind speeds at the two measurement levels is found to compare with Davenport's prediction. • The purpose of this study is to examine the legal attribute of subsidiarity principle on the National Basic Livelihood Security Act. The principle of subsidiarity is applied to the regulation for 'fundamental principle of benefits' on the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, therefore it functions as legal theory. However, due to its both positive and negative characteristics it becomes to be interpreted and applied in a different meaning depending on the normative characteristics of related laws. In brief, as the passive meaning of subsidiarity principle guarantees the freedom of civilian by limiting national power, it is reasonable in social control norm like criminal law. However, as nation's active role of intervention and support is required in order to protect basic standard of human life according to the principle of Social(welfare)State, the active meaning of subsidiarity principle is reasonable in Social Security law, especially in public assistance. Hence, the principle of subsidiarity on the National Basic Livelihood Security Act becomes to realize, justice, goal fitness and legal stability when it is operated by system with interpreting in an active meaning.

  • In [5], Csorgo and Zitikis exposed the strong $uniform-over-[0,\;{\infty}]$ consistency, and weak $uniform-over-[0,\;{\infty}]$ approximation of the empirical mean residual life process by employing weight functions. We carry on the uniform asymptotic behaviors of the empirical mean residual life process over the whole positive half line by representing the process as an integral form. We compare our results with those of Yang [15], Hall and Wellner [8], and Csorgo and Zitikis [5].

  • Let $Z_n(s,\;f)=n^{-1}\;{\sum}^{ns}_{i=1}(f(X_i)-Pf)$ be the sequential empirical process based on the independent and identically distributed random variables. We prove that convergence problems of $sup_{(s,\;f)}|Z_n(s,\;f)|$ to zero boil down to those of $sup_f|Z_n(1,\;f)|$. We employ Ottaviani's inequality and the complete convergence to establish, under bracketing entropy with the second moment, the almost sure convergence of $sup_{(s,\;f)}|Z_n(s,\;f)|$ to zero.

  • In this paper, a robust nonlinear prediction-type controller (RNPC) is developed for the continuous time nonlinear system whose control objective is composed of system output and its desired value. The basic control law of RNPC is derived such that the future response of the system is first predicted by appropriate functional expansions and the control law minimizing the difference between the predicted and desired responses is then calculated. RNPC which involves two controls, i.e., the auxiliary and robust controls into the basic control, shows the stable closed loop dynamics of nonlinear system of any relative degree and provides the robustness to the nonlinear system with parameter/modeling uncertainty. Simulation tests for the position control of a two-link rigid body manipulator confirm the performance improvement and the robustness of RNPC.

  • In this paper, an adaptive robust nonlinear predictive controller is developed for the continuous time nonlinear systems whose control objective is composed of the system output and its desired value. The basic control law is derived from the continuous time prediction model and its feedback dynamcis shows another from if input and output linearization. In order to cope with the parameter uncertainty, robust control is incorporated into the basic control law and the asymptotic convergence of tracking error to a certain bounded region is guaranteed. For stability and performance improvement within the bounded region, an adaptive control is introduced. Simulation tests for the motion control of an underwater wall-ranging robot confirm the performance improvement and the robustness of this controller.
