  • In this paper, we propose an energy efficient and multimedia traffic friendly MAC protocol (EEMF-MAC) that controls sender's wakeup period based on the data packet's transmission urgency and the receiver's wakeup periods based on the received data packet traffic loads. The protocol is useful for applications such as object tracking, real time data gathering, in which priority-based packet transmission is required. The basic idea of EEMF-MAC is that it uses the priority concept with transmission urgency of sender's data packet to reduce the transmission delay of the urgent data and it also uses duty cycling technique in order to achieve energy efficiency. EEMF-MAC showed a better performance in energy efficiency and packet transmission delay compared to existing protocols, RI-MAC and EE-RI-MAC.

  • This paper discusses the basic concept of artificial intelligence(AI) and expert system and a particular technique(fuzzy logic) applied to expert systems. It examines expert system as search intermediaries during the past few years, particularly in terms of the following functions: 1) handling certain classes of questions on a particular database, 2) assisting in decision making for selecting databases or search terms, and 3) offering advice while keeping the end-user in the control of the searching process. The limitations and difficulties involved in developing such expert systems are also presented.

  • We study some properties of interval-valued fuzzy normal subgroups of a group. In particular, we obtain two characterizations of interval-valued fuzzy normal subgroups. Moreover, we introduce the concept of an interval-valued fuzzy coset and obtain several results which are analogous of some basic theorems of group theory.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concept of fuzzy r-generalized open sets which are generalizations of fuzzy r-open sets defined by Lee and Lee [2] and obtain some basic properties of their structures. Also we introduce and study the concepts of fuzzy r-generalized continuous mapping, fuzzy r-generalized open mapping and fuzzy r-generalized closed mapping.

  • Requirements for device control networks differ greatly from those of data (business) networks. Consequently, any control network which uses a filedbus protocol is, in general, different from If network protocol TCP/IP. One then needs to integrate both fieldbus protocol and TCP/IP to realize distributed control over IP network or internet. LonWorks technology provides networked intelligent I/O and controllers which make it a powerful, expandable solution. Connecting these remote Lon Works networks to the Internet can provide a powerful, integrated, distributed control system. This paper suggests a basic concept that be applied to distributed control over IP network or internet. Specially, Lonworks technology that used LonTalk protocol is reviewed as device network and ...

  • Devices that monitor the depth of hypnosis based on the electroencephalogram (EEG) have long been commercialized, and clinicians use these to titrate the dosage of hypnotic agents. However, these have not yet been accepted as standard monitoring devices for anesthesiology. The primary reason is that the use of these monitoring devices does not completely prevent awareness during surgery, and the development of these devices has not taken into account the neurophysiological mechanisms of hypnotic agents, thus making it possible to show different levels of unconsciousness in the same brain status. An alternative is to monitor EEGs that are not signal processed with numerical values presented by these monitoring devices. Several studies have reported that power spectral analysis alone can distinguish the effects of different hypnotic agents on consciousness changes. This paper introduces the basic concept of power spectral analysis and introduces the EEG characteristics of various hypnotic agents that are used in sedation.

  • Generally, instrument transformer of the core type have been used for measuring current. Because instrument transformer has defects, electronic instrument was appeasred. This paper is introduced a basic concept and thoery of electronic instrument and described the the simulation of core type CT and no saturation CT. The evaluation of CT models implemented using EMTP(Electro Magnetic Transients Program) was carried out. The result of comparison both core type CT and no saturation CT are presented.

  • The basic principle and concept for hydrogen production via water-splitting process are introduced. In particular, recent research activities and their progress in the photoelectrochemical water-splitting process are investigated. The material perspectives of semiconducting photocatalysts are considered from metal oxides, including titanium oxides, to carbon compounds and perovskites. Various structural configurations, from conventional photoanodes with metal cathodes to tandem and nanostructures, are also studied. The pros and cons of each are described in terms of light absorption, charge separation/photoexcited electron-hole pair recombinations and further solar-to-hydrogen efficiency. In this research, we attempt to provide a broad view of up-to-date research and development as well as, possibly, future directions in the photoelectrochemical water-splitting field.

  • A new concept of aging classes namely new better (worse) than used at age $t_0$ in moment generating function order, $NBU_{mgf}-t_0$ ($NWU_{mgf}-t_0$) is introduced. For the classes $NBU_{mgf}-t_0$ ($NWU_{mgf}-t_0$), preservation under convolution, mixture, mixing and the homogeneous Poisson shock model are studied. In the sequel, nonparametric test is proposed, the asymptotic normality of the class is established and the asymptotic null variance is estimated. The percentiles and powers of this test are tabulated. The asymptotic efficiencies for some alternatives distributions are derived. Finally sets of real data are used as examples to elucidate the use of the proposed test in practical application.

  • Integrated Supply Chain Management is a important subject for all enterprise activities as include logistics/sales, transfer and storage, manufacturing, purchasing of materials. A recent customer wants to receive high level service of all parts as Qualify, Delivery, Cost and Product. Therefore, Enterprise effort to supply for customers needs use some techniques like Data Mining, POS, MIS. Inventory and Logistics cost is the highest expense of all cost from first supplier to final customer on supply routine. So, SCM's basic purpose is reduce to that cost. So that this paper explain necessary, background, concept of SCM, analyze several using methodology and function of main SCM solution, after propose to ATP model include arithmetic procedure, functions, input data for determines available due date.
