BIM을 이용한 ECO2-OD 프로그램의 정보입력 개선 (Improving Data Input of ECO2-OD Program Utilizing BIM)

  • In a situation that building energy consumption is increasing worldwide, the research utilizing BIM technology to analyze building energy has been actively conducted. On the other hand, data input method of the building energy analysis has been still manually entered. This paper proposed a improved input method of required information for building energy analysis using the ECO2-OD program. As a result, although some required information of BIM based design software could be almost entered when it comes to general information and architectural sector, it has a problem to be handled in HVAC sector. Therefore, in the both of general and architectural sectors, the BIM information from the BIM-based design software could be directly used to automatically and systematically input the information. Future research should be studied the algorism and method in connection with data exchange to utilize input method of ECO2-OD from BIM data.

BIM기반 건축물 인허가 신청을 위한 정보 관리방안 (A Method of Information Management for BIM Based Building Permission)

  • Around the world, BIM application has been mandated. In Korea, an announcement was made in 2016 that BIM application will be required for all public constructions ordered by the Public Procurement Service. However, BIM cannot be used for building permits as Seumter, a building permit system, doesn't support BIM, even if it was used for building design. To utilize BIM for permit application, this study introduces a method of management for BIM-used permit application information. It was done by analyzing the data entered for new building permit application in Seumter. For the analysis, the permit application information is classified as internal BIM information and external BIM information and the required information is defined. To easily create and utilize the data types at the design stage, this study introduces a method of creating and utilizing a permit template. Also, this study developed a tool for combining the area information to add up all the related information such as gross floor area and floor area ratio. This study is significant in that it analyzes the required information for new building permit application among all the permit application types in Korea.

BIM-BEMS 연계를 위한 M-BDL 기반 BIM 데이터 맵핑 (BIM data mapping based on M-BDL for BIM-BEMS connection)

  • 최근 BEMS(Building Energy Management System)는 공간정보를 적극 활용하고 있다. 공간정보가 포함된 BIM(Building Information Modeling)을 잘 활용한다면, 사용자는 공간정보와 연계된 직관적 건물 에너지 관리가 가능하다. 이 연구는 BIM-BEMS 연계를 위한 MF(Model Filter)을 활용한 데이터 맵핑 방법인 M-BDL(MF-based BIM Data Linkage)제안한다. 최근 BEMS은 3차원 공간정보를 적극 활용하고 있다. 이를 통해 사용자는 공간정보가 연계된 직관적인 건물 에너지관리가 가능하다. BIM 데이터를 에너지 관리 시스템에 활용하기 위해서는, 사용자 요구사항 관점에서 필요한 BIM 데이터만 BEMS과 연계할 필요가 있다. 하지만, Rich dataset인 BIM을 그대로 연계한다면 사용자가 불필요한 정보까지 관리해야 하는 부담을 주게 된다. M-BDL을 통해, 무거운 BIM 데이터에서 BEMS에 필요한 데이터만 맵핑함으로써, BIM데이터를 경량화할 수 있었고, 유지보수에 필요한 데이터량을 줄일 수 있다. 이 기술은 필요한 BIM 데이터만 필터링된 BIM 데이터와 BEMS 데이터베이스 간 연계할 수 있는 M-BDL 맵핑 방법을 제안한다.

  • As a way to improve productivity and integrated project delivery in construction industry, BIM(building Information Modeling) using IT technique is being studied and applied recently. S-BIM application Process was established that enable efficient work through Structural BIM detailed Model in consideration of the collaboration among relevant fields. This study has the objective applying S-BIM technique to enable effective Cost Analysis in initial design phase and presenting the method for practical works using Construction Cost Analysis Process based on S-BIM.

  • BIM(Building Information Modeling) is an indispensable tool to secure global competitiveness in construction sector, as already adapted significantly in European countries and U.S. In particular, as considering School Buildings constructed by BTL Method, using BIM tools are required for the accurate estimation of construction cost in planning stage, exact design and construction, well-judged settlement and performance of maintenance schedule. Therefore, this study investigates the BIM education status and the problems on using BIM tools through a survey of 100 BIM trainees and suggests improvement method of BIM education.

BIM과 GIS 통합을 위한 건물 외곽 폴리곤 기반 Georeferencing (Georeferencing for BIM and GIS Integration Using Building Boundary Polygon)

  • Building Information Models(BIM) provides rich geometric and attribute information throughout the entire life cycle of a building and infrastructure object, while Geographic Information System(GIS) enables the detail analysis of urban issues based on the geo-spatial information in support of decision-making. The Integration of BIM and GIS data makes it possible to create a digital twin of the land in order to effectively manage smart cities. In the perspective of integrating BIM data into GIS systems, this study performs literature reviews on georeferencing techniques and identifies limitations in carrying out the georeferencing process using attribute information associated with absolute coordinates probided by Industry Foundation Classes(IFC) as a BIM standard. To address these limitations, an automated georeferencing process is proposed as a pilot study to position a IFC model with the Local Coordinate System(LCS) in GIS environments with the Reference Coordinate System(RCS). An evaluation of the proposed approach over a BIM model demonstrates that the proposed method is expected to be a great help for automatically georeferencing complex BIM models in a GIS environment, and thus provides benefits for efficient and reliable BIM and GIS integration in practice.

도시단위 건축물 CO2 저감을 위한 데이터 통합 활용 기반기술에 관한 연구 (A Study on Integrated Utilization of Urban Spatial Data and Building Data for CO2 Reduction)

  • We have researched a character of BIM(Building Information Modeling) and GIS(Geographic Information System) data for integrated utilization of urban spatial data and building data for $CO_2$ reduction. We consider literature on integrated utilization of BIM and GIS and measure method of $CO_2$ in urban spatial unit. Among them without distortion of standard data structure, derive method how to install between BIM and GIS standard data. Rhino & Grasshopper is utilization tools of DB platform. The compatibility with existing BIM and GIS data format, graphic and numeric results can be output at the same time. And using the existing ARCHSIM, it can be easily combined for building energy analysis program. Based on BIM and GIS data to run an energy analysis target on Majang-dong, it could be poly synthetically derived the value information and graphic information.

  • Today, as construction industry grows rapidly, technology has advanced throughout the whole industrial world. Architectural design phase has gone digital from the traditional method of drawing which was an important means in the past, and Building Information Modeling(BIM), an emerging new paradigm, changed architectural design process. So this paper studies the difference between a 2D-based and a BIM-based design process which are currently applied to domestic, and proposes a BIM-based integrated design process in order to help establish BIM to domestic efficiently.

BIM 기반 비정형 건축물 패널화 모델 생성 방법에 관한 연구 (BIM-Based Generation of Free-form Building Panelization Model)

  • With the development of 3D-based CAD (Computer Aided Design), attempts at freeform building design have expanded to small and medium-sized buildings in Korea. However, a standardized system for continuous utilization of shape data and BIM conversion process implemented with 3D-based NURBS is still immature. Without accurate review and management throughout the Freeform building project, interference between members occurs and the cost of the project increases. This is very detrimental to the project. To solve this problem, we proposed a continuous utilization process of 3D shape information based on BIM parameters. Our process includes algorithms such as Auto Split, Panel Optimization, Excel extraction based on shape information, BIM modeling through Adaptive Component, and BIM model utilization method using ID Code. The optimal cutting reference point was calculated and the optimal material specification was derived using the Panel Optimization algorithm. With the Adaptive Component design methodology, a BIM model conforming to the standard cross-section details and specifications was uniformly established. The automatic BIM conversion algorithm of shape data through Excel extraction created a BIM model without omission of data based on the optimized panel cutting reference point and cutting line. Finally, we analyzed how to use the BIM model built for automatic conversion. As a result of the analysis, in addition to the BIM utilization plan in the general construction stage such as visualization, interference review, quantity calculation, and construction simulation, an individual management plan for the unit panel was derived through ID data input. This study suggested an improvement process by linking the existing research on atypical panel optimization and the study of parameter-based BIM information management method. And it showed that it can solve the problems of existing Freeform building project.

  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) design has been mandatory in Korea since 2016, and it has been gradually expanding in the industry, with a slow attempt to apply it in remodeling constructions. This is because Korea is facing a situation where many buildings are over 30 years old and require remodeling or reconstruction. The remodeling industry is also a growing market, as it saves construction time and cost compared to reconstruction. BIM is an ideal technology element for a competitive remodeling construction, as remodeling constructions face a complicated construction process from the start, including demolition, maintenance, and reinforcement to save the change process. However, there are still limitations in applying BIM to remodeling constructions, due to considerations of the existing building and the complicated requests of the inhabitants. BIM still has technical and environmental limitations for general use. In this study, I analyzed BIM application cases from existing studies and suggest what improvement points should be strengthened.
