조도 감지기를 이용한 절전형 간판 자동 전원 제어기 (The Energy-Efficient Automatic Power Controller of The Signboard using Illuminance Detector)

  • 본 논문에서는 조도 감지기를 이용하여 사용자가 설정한 조도량에 따라 점등되는 방식의 절전형 간판 자동 전원 제어기를 제안한다. 조도량 설정 방식은 사용자의 편리성을 감안하여 조도량 단위별 구간 분류 알고리즘을 통해 설정 과정이 누구나 쉽게 조작이 가능한 가변저항 방식을 제안한다. 자동 점등의 기준이 되는 조도량의 데이터는 조도 감지기가 측정한 조도량을 무선 통신을 통해 간판 자동 전원 제어기에 보내어 간판의 점등을 제어하게 된다. 본 논문에서 제안된 조도 감지기를 이용한 절전형 간판 자동 전원 제어기의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 공인 시험기관에서 외부의 빛이 모두 차단된 상태에서 시험한 결과, 각 구간별로 오차율이 ${\pm}3%$ 이하로 측정되어 우수한 성능을 나타내었다.

  • This paper presents a new approach to the automatic control of the turn-off angle used to excite the Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) employed in electric vehicles (EV). The controller selects the turn-off angle that supports and improves the performance of the motor drive system. This control scheme consisting of classical current control and speed control depends on a lookup table to take the best result of the motor. The turn-on angle of the main switches of the inverter is fixed at $0^{\circ}C$ and the turn-off angle is variable depending on the reference speed. The motor, inverter and control system are modeled in Simulink to demonstrate the operation of the system.

  • This paper presents a DSP based direct digital control design and implementation for a high power boost converter. A single loop and dual loop voltage control are digitally implemented and compared. The real time workshop (RTW) is used for automatic real-time code generation. Experimental results of a 20 kW boost converter based on the TMS320F2808 DSP during reference voltage changes, input voltage changes, and load disturbances are presented. The results show that the dual loop control achieves better steady state and transient performance than the single loop control. In addition, the experimental results validate the effectiveness of using the RTW for automatic code generation to speed up the system implementation.

전력계통 주파수응답 실적 기반의 국내 AGC 주파수 바이어스 설정치 산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Frequency Bias Setting of the AGC based on Frequency Response in Korea)

  • This paper presents Frequency Bias setting for the adequate AGC(Automatic Generator Control) operation based on the frequency response of power system in Korea. AGC frequency control recovers the frequency up to 60Hz following a primary control when the frequency suddenly drops due to a fault in power system. AGC can compensate an appropriate amount of generation by calculating ACE(Are Control Error) from the frequency deviation with the AGC frequency bias set from the actual frequency response in power systems. An appropriateness of the proposed AGC bias setting is verified through case studies employing the simulation model.

  • The drum level control is initiated by 1-element manual control, and then the control mode is changed to 1-element automatic control mode. Finally, the drum level control is changed to 3-element automatic control mode by the logic based on pre-defined threshold of main steam flow. In terms of plant automation, the automatic 1-element control mode is required from the start-up of boiler. In this paper, the fuzzy controller is adopted for automatic 1-element control of drum level from start-up. It is suggested that the fuzzy controller is used in 1-element control, and the fuzzy-PI cascade controller is used in 3-element control. Finally, the validity of suggested control scheme is shown via simulation.

최대전력점추적방법과 외부저항 제어 알고리즘을 이용한 미생물연료 전지의 전력생산 최대화 (Improvement of Power Generation of Microbial Fuel Cells using Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) and Automatic Load Control Algorithm)

  • A microbial fuel cell (MFC) and bioelectrochemical systems are novel bioprocesses which employ exoelectrogenic biofilm on electrode as a biocatalyst for electricity generation and various useful chemical production. Previous reports show that electrogenic biofilms of MFCs are time varying systems and dynamically interactive with the electrically conductive media (carbon paper as terminal electron acceptor). It has been reported that maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method can automatically control load by algorithm so that increase power generation and columbic efficiency. In this study, we developed logic based control strategy for external load resistance by using $LabVIEW^{TM}$ which increases the power production with using flat-plate MFCs and MPPT circuit board. The flat-plate MFCs inoculated with anaerobic digester sludge were stabilized with fixed external resistance from $1000{\Omega}$ to $100{\Omega}$. Automatic load control with MPPT started load from $52{\Omega}$ during 120 hours of operation. MPPT control strategy increased approximately 2.7 times of power production and power density (1.95 mW and $13.02mW/m^3$) compared to the initial values before application of MPPT (0.72 mW and $4.79mW/m^3$).

Provision of Two-area Automatic Generation Control by Demand-side Electric Vehicle Battery Swapping Stations

  • Application of demand-side resources to automatic generation control (AGC) has a great significance for improving the dynamic control performance of power system frequency regulation. This paper investigates the possibility of providing regulation services by demand-side energy storage in electric vehicle battery swapping stations (BSS). An interaction framework, namely station-to-grid (S2G), is presented to integrate BSS energy storage into power grid for giving benefits to frequency regulation. The BSS can be regarded as a lumped battery energy storage station through S2G framework. A supplementary AGC method using demand-side BSS energy storage is developed considering the vehicle user demand of battery swapping. The effects to the AGC performance are evaluated through simulations by using a two-area interconnected power grid model with step and random load disturbance. The results show that the demand-side BSS can significantly suppress the frequency deviation and tie-line power fluctuations.

  • 기존의 버스트 모드 자동전력제어 회로는 저 전력과 단일 칩화에 적합한 효율적인 구조인 반면에 데이터 율(data rate)이 높아짐에 따라 영의 밀도(zero density) 영향을 심하게 받아 에러를 야기하였다. 본 논문에서는 더블 게이트 MOS와 MOS다이오드를 이용하여 주입전류의 불균형을 보상하는 할 수 있는 새로운 구조의 첨두 비교기를 고안하고 이를 자동전력제어 회로에 적용하여 높은 데이터 율에서도 영의 밀도 변화에 강한 버스트 모드 자동전력제어 회로를 제안하였다. 제안한 자동전력제어 회로 내의 첨두 비교기는 높은 데이터 율에서 영의 밀도 변화에도 불구하고 정확한 전류비교 기준점을 견지하며 에러 없이 정상동작 하였다. 또한 제안한 첨두 비교기는 저전력 구조이고 대용량의 커패시터가 사용되지 않아 단일 칩화에도 적합하였다.

스마트 LED 가로등을 위한 고속 전력선 통신 기반 자동제어 시스템 (High Speed PLC-based Automatic Control System for a Smart LED Streetlight)

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트 LED 가로등을 위한 고속 전력선 통신 기반 자동제어 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 자동제어 시스템은 고속 전력선 통신망을 이용하여 고속 통신 주파수 대역과 가로등 안정기 특성 분석 및 실시간 원격 제어가 가능하도록 전력선 모뎀부와 모니터링부, 가로등 제어부로 구성하였고, KS 도로조명기준의 조명등급 조건에 만족하도록 설계하였다. 제안된 자동제어 시스템은 기존 가로등 시스템의 비교 결과를 통해 PC를 사용하여 소비 전력을 쉽게 모니터링 하였다. 그 결과, LED 가로등 상태 검사 및 원격 제어를 통해 합리적 소비 전력의 유도에 의해 실시간 모니터링 및 관리를 위한 효율적인 운영의 가능성을 확인 하였다. 또한, 전력요금 절감 및 에너지 효율화, 가로등의 차별화/고급화에 대한 기대효과 향상을 증명하였다.

지게차 자동변속기의 클러치 직접 제어 유압 시스템 모델링 및 해석 (The Hydraulic System Modeling and Analysis of the Clutch Direct Control of an Automatic Transmission for a Forklift Truck)

  • An automatic transmission of construction equipment is controlled by hydraulic and electronic system for doing in various functions like as shifting and operation. The shifting is operated by the engaged and disengaged clutch motion from hydraulic power. On the shifting process, suitable pressure control to the clutch is required for smooth shifting. Hydraulic control system in the automatic transmission is divided by the pilot control type and the direct control type greatly. The direct control type has an advantage than the pilot control type. Because the structure is simple, the design and the manufacture are having less troubles and the system can be maximized precision pressure control. However, the excellent performance proportional control valve should be used to achieve proper control-ability. In this study, the dynamic analysis model composing the automatic transmission and hydraulic system for forklift truck is presented to simulate the characteristics of hydraulic system about the direct control type. That model is verified the validity compared the results of the testing examination. Parameters of input signal are analyzed to reduce the output torque according to input control signal is affected in shifting characteristic.
