건설자동화를 위한 철골 공사 계획의 의사결정 영향요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influential Factors on Decision Making of Frame Construction Scheduling For Automated Construction)

  • During the last few decades, several companies and research laboratories have developed construction robots in an effort to improve productivity, quality, and reduce construction time and safety concerns. Recently, domestic construction industry is also interested in developing the construction robots. However, the studies on the research and development process is impossible in real field. A existing research's object is the development of the research on the assumption that construction's environment is a fixed form, But real construction's environment is very dynamic and atypical. So it is very difficult that we apply construction automation and robots. In order to solve this problem, this study deduce influential factors on decision making of frame construction scheduling for automated construction.

  • It is impossible to precat the behavior of ground soil and structure accurately during underground construction in urban area or excavation in soft ground area because of difference between the assumed design condition and the actual site condition. Therefore, it must be managed by measuring system and correct the difference by real data. Large scale under ground construction in urban area like a seoul subway project has needed for Intelligent Construction technique, a field of the Engineering Contractor. The automated measuring system is developed for the technique. It is described that the procedure and the method of measuring work with application of the automated measuring system.

  • Introducing the concept of construction safety in the design/engineering phase can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of safety management on construction sites. In this sense, further improvements for safety can be made in the design/engineering phase through the development of (1) an automated hazard identification process that is little dependent on user knowledge, (2) an automated construction schedule generation to accommodate varying hazard information over time, and (3) a visual representation of the results that is easy to understand. In this paper, we formulate an automated hazard identification framework for construction safety by extracting hazard information from related regulations to eliminate human interventions, and by utilizing a visualization technique in order to enhance users' understanding on hazard information. First, the hazard information is automatically extracted from textual safety and health regulations (i.e., Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) Standards) by using natural language processing (NLP) techniques without users' interpretations. Next, scheduling and sequencing of the construction activities are automatically generated with regard to the 3D building model. Then, the extracted hazard information is integrated into the geometry data of construction elements in the industry foundation class (IFC) building model using a conformity-checking algorithm within the open source 3D computer graphics software. Preliminary results demonstrate that this approach is advantageous in that it can be used in the design/engineering phases of construction without the manual interpretation of safety experts, facilitating the designers' and engineers' proactive consideration for improving safety management.

건설 자동화 장비 도입을 위한 기술도입 영향요인 분석 (Analysis of the Technology Adoption Impact Factors for Automated Construction Equipment)

  • 안전사고와 민원이 많은 건설현장에서 새로운 건설기술, 특히 자동화 장비가 적용되는 경우는 드물다. 본 연구에서는 건설 자동화 장비의 적용 가능성을 높이기 위하여 고려하여야 하는 기술도입 영향요인들을 도출하고 분석하였다. 먼저, 영향요인들을 기술과 비기술 요인으로 분류하고, 기술요인을 사용성과 기능성 요인으로, 그리고 비기술 요인을 비용, 공사특징, 조직요인으로 분류하였다. 다음으로, 전문가 설문을 통하여 각 영향요인들의 중요도와 실현 가능성을 분석하였다. 사용성과 기능성이 중요도와 실현 가능성이 모두 높은 요인으로 분석되었다. 또한, 영향요인들의 중요도와 실현 가능성에 대한 건설사와 장비 개발사의 관점 차이를 분석하였다. 사전관계와 운전자 태도, 구성원들 의지, 공사품질들은 모두 건설사가 장비 개발사보다 더 높게 인식하고 있었다. 본 연구의 결과를 기반으로 장비 개발사는 건설사와의 관점 차이를 인지하고, 건설사가 중요하게 생각하는 요인들을 중심으로 개발하여야 할 것이다. 또한 본 연구의 결과는 자동화 장비 개발 사전 단계에서 적용할 수 있는 평가기준으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • In the area of domestic construction industry, recently, standardization of construction. globalization of constructional and a building information arc required to advance increase productivity, shorten the term of works and reduce the cost of construction. The objective of this is to offer basic data of process new thesis and development for automated building equipment design system based on 3D CAD building information. This study contribute the development of automated Building equipment design system based on 3D which helps to conduct the equipment design handily and quickly.

  • Progress measurement is one of key tasks for cost and schedule management in construction management. However, there has been shortage of effort to implement for automated progress measurement. This paper proposes to use a face recognition (FR) technology for automated progress measurement and management in construction sites. The FR technology can acquire detailed progress data that includes the in and out information of labors by location. The expected effectiveness of the proposed system is to provide accurate labor information for progress measurement by utilizing automated data acquisition technology (DAT) with high-speed reading face. In addition, it could be applied to real-time safety and quality management by using the camera images.

드론을 활용한 지상기준점 측량 자동화 기술의 개념디자인 (Conceptual Design of Ground Control Point Survey Automation Technology Using Drone)

  • In recent construction sites, digital maps obtained through drone photogrammetry have garnered increasing attention as indispensable tools for effective construction site management. the strategic placement of Ground Control Points (GCPs) is crucial in drone photogrammetry. Nevertheless, the manual labor and time-intensive nature of GCP surveying pose significant challenges. The purpose of this study is to design the concept of automated GCPs survey technology for enhancing drone photogrammetry efficiency in construction sites. As a result, the productivity of the automated method was analyzed as 118,894.7㎡/hr. It is over 25% productivity improvement compared to traditional methods. In future studies, economic analysis of automated methods should be studied.

Towards Instant Availability and Full Life Cycle Resilience in Vertical Cities: Automated Deployment and Transformation of High-Rise Buildings to Mitigate Social Challenges

  • High-rise buildings often can accommodate the population of small horizontal cities. The investment in high-rise buildings is considerable and therefore a rapid return on investment is necessary. The immediate availability of high-rise buildings can be achieved by automated prefabrication of highly finished modules and their instant on-site assembly by robotic and automated construction sites. A high-rise building as a vertical city can be considered as a sophisticated organism that can constantly change throughout its lifecycle in response to economic growth, demographic change, and environmental pressures. To date, many new urban high-rise developments claim to be "vertical cities", yet few represent this important characteristic. This article analyzed the technological readiness and innovations in the field of construction automation and robotics including single-task construction robots, automated on-site construction factories, and ambient assisted living. These technological advances enable the realization of future vertical cities that are able to continuously grow and transform in terms of form and function. Finally, the article proposes a visionary archetype of vertical city in the name of "dynamic vertical urbanism" that is easy to expand vertically and horizontally in order to achieve instant availability and full life cycle resilience thanks to advanced building technologies.

  • 최근의 건축공사는 고층화되어 가는 추세이며 원가절감과 공기단축, 생산성 향상 등이 요구되고 건설자동화의 도입을 통한 총생애자동화시스템의 도입이 시급히 요구되는 추세이다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 초고층 빌딩 건축에 주로 사용되는 커튼월 공법과 제조업에서의 SCM기법, 최신의 RFID기법을 이용하여 초고층 건축물 커튼월의 자동화 관리시스템을 구축을 위한 방안을 제시하였다. SCM기법이란 생산에서 판매에 이르는 전단계의 과정을 연결, 관리하는 것을 의미하고 커튼월은 빌딩 건축에서 골조공사의 공기단축과 단순화를 위해 가장 많이 활용되는 건식공법으로 건설공사에서 가장 제조업에 가까운 형태의 공사로 볼 수 있다. 또한 RFID는 SCM의 구현방법으로 자재의 흐름과 생산프로세스, 그리고 정보관리 시스템의 도구로 사용되며 이들을 활용한 총생애자동화시스템은 생산과정 뿐만 아니라 사후관리 과정에도 효율적이며 높은 생산성과 경제성 향상에 기여한 것으로 기대된다.

A Framework for developing the automated management system of environmental complaints in construction projects

  • Vast quantities of environmental pollutants from construction projects are causing significant damage to nearby local communities and thus generate environmental complaints. The construction company, responsible for compensating and resolving environmental complaints, suffers economic damages due to additional expenditures and schedule delays in construction projects. Meanwhile, the construction industry can stagnate from a broader perspective. Therefore, this study aimed to propose a framework for developing an automated management system which consists of two models for environmental complaints in construction projects: (i) the prediction model: a model for predicting environmental complaints based on factors related to environmental complaints; and (ii) the prevention model: a model for providing construction companies with the optimal prevention measure to effectively prevent environmental complaints according to the results of the prediction model. In addition, the algorithm for integrating the developed models into the management system in construction projects was proposed. Eventually, the application of the management system to construction projects can ensure the profitability of construction companies and mitigate damage from environmental pollutants to the nearby local community.
