  • Today, the great revolution in all financial industrial such as bank have been progressing through the utilization of IT technology actively, it is called the fintech. In this paper, we draw the draft design of NFC-based electronic payment and coupon system using FIDO framework to apply the 2 factor authentication technique for strength security. In detailed, we will study that the terminal device in front-end will be applied the 2 factor authentication and electric signature, and cloud-based payment gateway in back-end will be applied malicious code detection technique of distributed avoidance type.

  • Enforcing additional authentication to password-based authentication, in addition to attempting to increase the security of the password itself, helps to improve the security of the password authentication scheme. For a well-known problem of using strong passwords that differ from site to site, we propose a scheme for password generation and management with an inherent supplementary authentication. Like the so-called password manager, the scheme retrieves and presents a strong site-specific password whenever requested without requiring the user to remember multiple passwords. Unlike the existing methods, however, the scheme permits the password retrieval process to proceed only through the authenticated user's ownership verified smartphone. Hence, even for sites not enforcing or supporting two-factor authentication, the logon process can benefit from the scheme's assurance of enhanced security with its two-factor equivalent authentication. The scheme can also prevent an attacker from impersonating a user or stealing secrets even when the stored information of the server for password retrieval service or the user's smartphone is leaked.

  • With the rapid development of the Internet of Things, the problem of privacy protection has been paid great attention. Recently, Nikooghadam et al. pointed out that Kumari et al.'s protocol can neither resist off-line guessing attack nor preserve user anonymity. Moreover, the authors also proposed an authentication supportive session initial protocol, claiming to resist various vulnerability attacks. Unfortunately, this paper proves that the authentication protocols of Kumari et al. and Nikooghadam et al. have neither the ability to preserve perfect forward secrecy nor the ability to resist key-compromise impersonation attack. In order to remedy such flaws in their protocols, we design a lightweight authentication protocol using elliptic curve cryptography. By way of informal security analysis, it is shown that the proposed protocol can both resist a variety of attacks and provide more security. Afterward, it is also proved that the protocol is resistant against active and passive attacks under Dolev-Yao model by means of Burrows-Abadi-Needham logic (BAN-Logic), and fulfills mutual authentication using Automated Validation of Internet Security Protocols and Applications (AVISPA) software. Subsequently, we compare the protocol with the related scheme in terms of computational complexity and security. The comparative analytics witness that the proposed protocol is more suitable for practical application scenarios.

  • In 2018, Cui et al proposed a three-factor remote user authentication scheme using biometrics. Cui et al claimed that their authentication scheme is vulnerable to eavesdropping attack, stolen smart card attack, and especially Dos(denial-of-service) attack. Also they claimed that it is safe to password guessing attack, impersonation attack, and anonymity attack. In this paper, however, we analyze Cui et al's authentication scheme and show that it is vulnerable to replay attack, insider attack, stolen smart card attack, and user impersonation attack, etc. In addition, we present the design flaws in Cui et al's authentication scheme as well.

  • Recently, with the development of IoT, AI, and mobile terminals, medical information platforms are expanding. The medical information platform can determine a patient's emergency situation, and medical staff can easily access patient information through a mobile terminal. However, in the existing platform, emergency situation decision is delayed, and faster and stronger authentication is required in emergency situations. Therefore, we propose an edge computing-based medical information platform for automatic authentication using patient situations. We design an edge computing-based medical information platform architecture capable of rapid transmission of biometric data of IoT and quick emergency situation decision, and implement the platform data flow in emergency situations. Relying on this platform, we propose the automatic authentication using patient situations. The automatic authentication protects patient information through patient-centered authentication by using the patient's situation as an authentication factor, and enables quick authentication by automatically proceeding with mobile terminal authentication after user authentication in emergencies without user intervention. We compared the proposed platform with existing platforms to show that it can make quick and stable emergency decisions. In addition, comparing the automatic authentication with existing authentication showed that it is fast and protects medical information centered on patient situations in emergency situations.

  • In this paper, we propose a new Two-factor Authentication and Key Exchange(TAKE) protocol that can be applied to low-power PDAs in Public Wireless LAMs using two factor authentication and precomputation. This protocol provides mutual authentication session key establishment, identity privacy, and practical half forward-secrecy. The only computational complexity that the client must perform is one symmetric key encryption and five hash functions during the runtime of the protocol.

  • This paper proposes a method to shut out all of the not certified network access packet by embodying the two-factor(MAC ADDRESS, ID/PASSWORD) authentication system. The Authenticating Gateway System takes over central server's policy and permit or hold up the packet by inherited policy. And checks the whether or not patched the OS version and getting influenced from computer virus. And takes the information about client's resources(H/W, S/W) without Agent in the client. That makes more stability of network operating circumstance and fast facing the attack from hackers. In the fixed mobile network circumstance, This method provides more simplicity and less expenses than IEEE802.1x authentication system(cisco nac).

  • Passwords are a common method of identifying and authenticating a user who wishes to log on to a secure system. Password-based authentication techniques, however, do not provide strong security and recognized as being an poor form of protection. It is not all the responsibility of the user to control password and to protect its confidentiality. In this paper, confirm an appropriate response time and I propose a new and improved method of implementing two factor authentication using SMS via receiving apparatus(mobile and email).

  • Lately weight for smartphone mounted to function for NFC is increasing, rapidly. Because of this, NFC related technology is made by many companies. We developed Gallery-Auction for security enhancements and new services of NFC-based 2 factor electronic payment system. Enhanced security features development of user authentication module through fingerprint recognition to apply FIDO authentication technology and developed electronic contract voice service of Gallery-Auction using TTS(Text to Speech). Therefore we enhanced convenient and simple authentication method and security through NFC mobile electronic payment.

  • There are three standards for FIDO1 authentication technology: Universal Second Factor (U2F), Universal Authentication Framework (UAF), and Client to Authenticator Protocols (CTAP). FIDO2 refers to the WebAuthn standard established by W3C for the creation and use of a certificate in a web application that complements the existing CTAP. In Korea, the FIDO certified market is dominated by UAF, which deals with standards for smartphone (Android, iOS) apps owned by the majority of the people. As the market requires certification through FIDO on PCs, FIDO Alliance and W3C established standards that can be certified on the platform-independent Web and published 『Web Authentication: An API for Accessing Public Key Credentials Level 1』 on March 4, 2019. Most PC do not contain biometrics, so they are not being utilized contrary to expectations. In this paper, we intend to present a model that allows login in PC environment through biometric recognition of smartphone and FIDO UAF authentication. We propose a model in which a user requests login from a PC and performs FIDO authentication on a smartphone, and authentication is completed on the PC without any other user's additional gesture.
