For years, research on the impact of students' attitudes on learning has maintained a spot amongst the most highly discussed topics in education. Particularly, over the past decades, researchers have made great strides in better understanding attitudes toward computers. This article presents a critical review of the current state of research by re-examining how attitudes toward computers have been studied. First, the review introduces an overview of the theoretical foundations and the origins of research on attitudes toward computers. Then, the article summarizes previous literature and knowledge about computer attitudes and provides a review of major findings from research on the effects of some factors affecting the formation of computer attitudes. The discussion reveals a number of major issues and challenges, which include unclear characterization of computer attitudes, problems with measurement tools, and the lack of studies using methods other than brief questionnaires. The unsolved problems cause conflicting, inconsistent and inconclusive results and affect interpretation in the study of computer attitudes. The article also suggests the main recent and future directions of research on attitudes toward computers. Finally, it concludes by providing implications for educators.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among technology innovation (perceived ease of use, perceived ease, joyfulness), individual variables (innovation, self-efficacy), fashion variables (fashion involvement, interest in celebrity style), shopping attitudes toward fashion T-Commerce, and purchasing intention. Two hundred seven female participants in age group of 20s participated in this study. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, simple and multiple regression, and Cronbach's Alpha were used to test the research questions. As the result, first, all three variables (perceived ease of use, perceived ease, joyfulness) from technology innovation did affect on attitudes toward fashion T-Commerce. Second, individual innovation did affect positively on attitudes toward fashion T-Commerce. Third, interest in celebrity style affected positively on attitudes toward fashion T-Commerce. Finally, attitudes toward fashion T-Commerce affected positively on purchasing intention of fashion T-Commerce. Based on these results, T-Commerce fashion merchandising marketing strategies of fashion goods would be provided to fashion T-Commerce retailers or marketers.
Technology and Home Economics are associated with gender-related roles. In this respect, students' attitude toward these subjects may be influenced by gender equity awareness with attitudes that may perpetuate gender-biased images of subjects. This study examined the influence of gender equity awareness of middle school students on attitudes toward Technology and Home Economics. Data were collected through a survey to 442 students from eight purposively sampled middle schools in Seoul. Three gender equity awareness groups were identified through a cluster analysis: Equity in house work group (n=163), Traditional gender role group (n=102), and Equity in all areas group (n=152). The analyses of variances enabled an examination of the effects of gender and gender equity awareness. Differences were found among gender and gender equity awareness groups on attitudes toward Home Economics, but not toward Technology. Girls showed higher preference, higher perceived usefulness than boys, but with a lower importance for career preparation for Home Economics. Traditional gender role group scored the lowest on usefulness and importance for everyday life, yet highest on importance for career preparation. Equity in all areas group perceived lowest importance of Home Economics for career preparation. The results show that Home Economics is more strongly gender-typed than Technology, and that effort is needed to change the gender-biased image of the subject.

This study investigated female consumers' attitudes toward the general and fashion-specific climate environments and analyzed the relations between the attitudes and the variables such as values, knowledge, and climate cognition. The data was collected from a sample of 450 women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s via quota sampling from a selfreported online survey in 2023. The measurement comprised the attitudes toward the general and fashion-specific climate environments, Rokeach's 18 terminal values, Holbrook's 8 consumer values regarding fashion products, climate environmental knowledge related to fashion, the cognition concerning the climate crisis, and several demographic variables. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and correlations were applied to the data using SPSS. As a result, two factors were determined for the attitudes toward the general and fashion-specific climate environments, respectively: social and personal. Family security, happiness, and self-respect were identified as important terminal values. Quality, efficiency, aesthetics, and ethics were considered important when the current sample group purchased fashion products. The mean score of climate environmental knowledge related to fashion was lower than neutral; however the cognition of the climate crisis was considerably high. Attitudes toward the general and fashion-specific climate environments showed positive relations with values, knowledge, and climate cognition. The results were discussed to provide some insight and suggestions to carbon neutrality and the related studies.

The object of this study is to explore the attitudes of occupational therapy students and "general students" (who study in different areas other than occupational therapy) towards people with disabilities, and to examine the causing factors of positive and negative attitudes toward people with disabilities by using Disability Factor Scales (DFS). According to the result of the study using the Disability Factor Scales (DFS), it indicates that the attitudes of the occupational therapy students were more positive than those of "general students" from other departments. In the case of score differences among occupational therapy students by class standing, seniors who experienced clinical practice showed a less favorable attitude toward the disabled than freshmen, so it is necessary to develop clinical practice and an occupational therapy curricula that incorporate patient-centered treatment rather than therapist-centered education with simple physical contact or illness problems.
In this study, high school students' perceptions and attitudes toward nanotechnology are examined through questionnaires gathered from 1704 high school students (five general high schools and two science high schools). As a result, the study shows that high school students have generally high perceptions and positive attitudes toward nanotechnology. Science high school students show more positive attitudes and correct knowledge toward nanotechnology rather than general high school students do. High school students get information on nanotechnology via various sources such as TV and internet, whereas they have rarely perceived to get information on nanotechnology in textbooks and science class. They think that newspaper and TV programs are proper methods to introduce new science technology and get information on the advanced science and technology through the internet and science teachers. High school students show positive attitudes toward the application of nanotechnology, whereas they show negative attitudes toward personal information chips and nano-taste enhancer. And they trust nanotechnology researchers and science teachers, whereas they rarely trust about government, public organizations, and internet.

The purpose of this research is to suggest the way to promote housewives' understanding of science and technology, based on the survey results of the attitude toward science and technology, the scientific attitude, and the interest in science and technology of housewives in Korea. The questionnaire was developed by researchers and administered to housewives who live in Seoul to get basic information. Housewives showed slightly positive attitudes toward science and technology, and similarly positive scientific attitudes. These scores were increased as monthly income and education level were raised. Housewives' interest of the science-technology related topics (foods, health, education, leisure, social issues, cooking, housing, everyday activity) was relatively high, and the interest of foods, health, education, and leisure was significantly correlated with the scores of housewives' attitude towards science and technology and their scientific attitudes. Housewives are shown to be curious to know these topics when they were asked by their children or do not know the terms appeared in media, or purchase home appliances and food. And they get the answers in a passive way by asking their family members or by watching TV or newspapers. They preferred TV program for enhancing their understanding of science. But such program could be proper to present science knowledge but not fulfill the role to promote scientific literacy. Specially designed programs through science centers or science museums would be suggested for their lifelong education.
