Objectives : This study was carried out in order to contribute to preventing dental caries, which is the biggest disease in adolescence and to promoting oral health by implanting a right habit on oral care targeting adolescents, and further to offer basic help to proceeding with making the better health life. Methods : This study carried out questionnaire survey targeting 1,100 students of middle schools where are located in small and medium-sized cities of Gyeongnam from March 7-18, 2011. Statistical processing was performed frequency analysis and cross tabulation, by using SPSSWIN 12.0 program. Results : As for middle school students' oral health education experience, the group with educational experience was indicated to be 52.9% for girl students and 47.1% for boy students(p<.05) in case of gender. Toothbrushing time was indicated to be the highest with 25.6% in 'after having breakfast'. The appearance of toothbrushing after having lunch at school was indicated to be 53.3% for girl students and 26.3% for boy students(p<.001) by gender. The most important reason for toothbrushing accounted for 82.1% in the 1st grade, 71.1% in the 2nd grade, and 67.4% in the 3rd grade depending on school year as for the response as saying of 'aiming to prevent decayed tooth and gum disease.' Thus, the lower school year led to having indicated to be higher in response as saying of brushing teeth for preventing decayed tooth and gum disease(p<.001). As for a toothbrushing method by gender, boy students accounted for 24.2% in response as saying of 'brushing teeth freely', thereby having been indicated to be higher than 15.0% for girl students(p<.001). Conclusions : In order for toothbrushing method to be rightly practiced and habituated continuously, there will be a need of changing adolescents' awareness and of being driven systematically and continuously through oral health education. School oral health education, which can nurture right attitude and habit of oral health care, is thought to be necessarily expanded and executed.

The Korean society has been dramatically changed in its population, with rapidly increasing number of multicultural families through international marriages. The objective is to investigate the dietary patterns as an acculturation for multicultural families in urban area. The research target was 89 marriage immigrant females in Daejeon, in whom 50.6 % was in their twenties and 49.4 % was in their thirties to forties. 39.3% of the subjects was from China and 28.1 % from Vietnam, which showed similar pattern to the ratio of marriage immigrants' homeland in Korea. As age goes higher, cultural adaptation in Korea was the integration pattern. Marriage immigrant females from Vietnam showed the highest rates of marginalization pattern as cultural adaptation. Moreover, those with longer marriage duration and with children tend to show higher rates of integration pattern. 'Food attitude', 'food diversity', and 'balance life' as eating behaviors are related with acculturation. In conclusion, the multicultural families in urban area showed integration acculturation patterns, which could be influenced by their socioeconomic factors, such as residence period and Korean language ability and food diversity as dietary patterns factors. Further study with a quantitative analysis is needed in order to understand the effect of dietary patterns on acculturation in the multicultural families.

SAR satellite can acquire clear imagery regardless of weather and the images are widely used for land management, natural hazard monitoring and many other applications. Automatic image matching technique is necessary for management of a huge amount of SAR data. Nevertheless, it is difficult to assure the accuracy of image matching due to the difference of image-capturing attitude and time. In this paper, we compared performances of MI method, FMT method and SIFT method by applying arbitrary displacement and rotation to TerraSAR-X images and changing resolution of the images. As a result, when the features having specific intensity were distributed well in SAR imagery, MI method could assure 0~2 pixels accuracy even if the images were captured in different geometry. But the accuracy of FMT method was significantly poor for the images having different spatial resolutions and the error was represented by tens or hundreds pixels. Moreover, the ratio of corresponding matching points for SIFT method was only 0~17% and it was difficult for SIFT method to apply to SAR images captured in different geometry.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the conceptual simulation observed when students are thinking about the causes of the seasonal change, identifying how students come up with the explanation. For this study, a framework for conceptual simulation process and strategy based on literary research was developed and its validity was proved by four experts in the field of science education. The results were as in the following: First, through the process of explaining the causes for seasonal change, students usually base their explanation on perceptual experience learned from model experiments from a science class. Besides, construct of thought experiment using the familiar object or analogize of the familiar perceptual experience. These all contributed to on explanation firmly. Second, errors from mental simulation were found in the statement of initial representation and running imagistic simulation. It happened when statement of initial representation is not in a complete and secure state or when participants think of an inappropriate situation during running imagistic simulation. Third, the study identified that the use of strategies like 'removal' and 'replace' was shown to enhance the effects of conceptual simulation particularly in regard with solar attitude at meridian passage.
As compared with the gender differences in the achievement of mathematics of the PISA 2009, the results of this study on the PISA 2012 show that the achievement of male students sharply increased, while that of female students maintained the status quo. Based on the premise that this result is derived from the ratio differences between male and female students of high level, this study analyzed the educational context variable effects on the achievements of gender differences observed between male and female students of high level. In particular, this study inquired into the factors which influence the gender difference, by analyzing the identical variables regarding Singapore and Finland of which the achievement of female students registers high among other top high-ranking countries of the PISA 2012. Hence, the binominal logistic multi-level analysis was conducted in order to consider the characteristics of hierarchical structure of PISA, and to compare the features of the educational context variable effects between the high level (above level 5) by country and the highest level (above level 6) by group. The analysis results are as follows: in terms of after-school learning time realized either in private lessons and private institutes, no significant effects were shown in any of the students of these three countries. In terms of after-school homework time, the students of Korea and Singapore gave significant influences on the probability which would be included in the group of high level or the highest level. In particular, regarding the variables which influence the probability of inclusion of Korean female students in the group of high level or the highest level, they correspond to "Homework set by teacher", "Attitude toward school: learning activities", "ESCS of School" and "Teacher-student relations". And "Cultural possessions at home" gave main influences on the probability of inclusion of the female students of Korea, Singapore and Finland in the group of the highest level.

The purpose of this study is to understand the elementary student's growth and its implications from the students' experience participating in the science fair by phenomenological study. The results are as follows. First, the students have various experiences. They acquire scientific knowledge and inquiry skills by conducting in-depth experiments, visiting several places, and interviewing experts. They have some experience in writing experiment journals to record the inquiry process in their own language, and presenting their results in public. Second, the students suffer several difficulties while preparing for the science fair. They have some difficulties when the results were not consistent with the hypothesis, or they had to repeat the experiment over and over. They feel burdened in writing the experiment journal. They had a few time to meet friends or for hobbies. Third, the students improve scientific attitude through the science fair, and they receive a positive effect on the affective side. They developed scientific interest, curiosity, cooperation, etc. And they also gained a sense of accomplishment, confidence, friendship, good relationship with teachers, career interest, etc. This study finds out that students participating in the science fair have a lot of experience that cannot be done easily in a normal science class. Even though students confront some difficulties in the inquiry process, they make good progression and feel accomplished. So the science fair is valuable experience for them.
With the rapid expansion of smart-phone based brand app and its marketing implementations, the marketers stake much resources in the success of brand apps so that they are able to reinforce the user satisfaction and intention for repeat use. The purpose of this paper is to understand the characteristics underlying the brand applications and to analyze the usage and attitudes of the users. Self-administered survey on the research variables for respondents of 20-49 age group was conducted and the results as follow. The results are as follows the consumers are more satisfied with its usefulness, entertainment, and design attributes of the brand app. They tend to keep using a brand app that contains useful contents and great entertainment elements. Marketers thus need to reflect those elements when developing and distributing a brand app in order to meet the needs of their customers. The study results would help marketing firms find new competitive edges by providing basic insight for new competition strategies for brand app development.

The concepts of activity involvement(AI) and place attachment(PA) are useful for explaining the sustainable use of natural resources by humans. Although several studies have investigated the effects of AI and PA on environmental behaviors and found its implications, it has not examined the simultaneous effects of both AI and PA. Thus, the purpose of this study was to develop a typology of both AI and PA. This typology was used to explain the environmentally responsible behaviors of visitors. The study sample surveyed 587 users of the main trail in Namhansanseong Provincial Park The results were analyzed by frequency, reliability, factor analysis, cross-tabulation, T-test, correlation and ANOVA analysis. As a result, the typology identified four subgroups of hikers based on involvement in hiking and attachment to setting. Results also indicate that environmentally responsible behaviors do vary significantly across typology. In detail, general environmental behavior and specific environmental behavior were significantly different between the four groups. These finding suggests that PA seems to play a more powerful role than AI in relation to environmental behavior. While more involved and more attached hikers were more active in environmental behaviors, less involved and less attached hikers had a more passive attitude. In this respect, this study placed emphasis on the fact that the future resource management of tourism and outdoor recreation may be established based on its activity experience in certain place.
The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of private kindergarten teachers' teacher efficacy and communication competence on their job stress. The subjects in this study were 161 private kindergarten teachers working in kindergartens in Gyeong-gi province. For the research analysis, frequency, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient, and Pearson's correlation were calculated and regression analysis were conducted. The results are as follows. Firstly, it was revealed that personal teacher efficacy does have statistically meaningful negative influences on job stress as a whole as well as the sub-factors of job stress, but general teacher efficacy has meaningful negative influences only on the personal-related stress of the sub-factors. Secondly, communication competence has statistically meaningful negative influences on job stress as a whole as well as the sub-factors of job stress. Through this study, it is possible to provide a basic guideline to configure the subject content that enhance teacher efficacy and make them give full play to communication competence and develop a positive attitude for coping with job stress in a curriculum for private kindergarten teachers.
