A new paradigm of design lays stress on the world of metaphysical concepts, and various attempts are being made to give meaning to psychological values. Hotel is a memorable place to remind of a special moment in one's life such as travel, marriage, meeting and so on. It also contains even more symbolism than other spaces as it is the place where the most primary and private act takes place apart from one's residence. As a result, it is also possible to communicate the message which a designer intends to convey through the user's recognition in the form of various symbolic expressions in space design. The designer communicates a meaning into a space through a symbolic system and creates a mutual consensus by means of the understanding structure of "designer-space-user". The user's diverse interpretations through a symbol are based on epistemology and consist of the primary, the secondary and the tertiary recognition structure system in the aspect of their contents. The primary structure depends on sensual perception, impressive idea and transcendental recognition based on metaphysical and perceptional association. The secondary structure includes casualty, continuous deduction and rational(integral) recognition. Finally, the tertiary structure is sublimation to the transcendental mental world beyond the boundary of emotion and it is classified into fundamental recognition structure on an object and archetypical recognition structure on an ego. These characteristics can derive systematic understandings and diverse interpretations on the symbol from the space of a hotel through the frame of analysis based on the artistic form of monosemous, polysemous and multidimensional frameworks and symbols. The framework of this analysis includes all the cases, and various methods which haven't been attempted in practice are presented. Therefore this study is not just a simple analysis of space but rather it will serve as a methodological tool for design that allows for various attempts of symbolic design concepts in the recognition structure system.

The purpose of this study is to study how forms of clothing fluid form images are expressed in modern fashion develop body around in the spatial relationship between the body and its environment. The study method consider changed characterastics of fluid space through the heterotopia thinking system of Foucault Michel. Based on this method, the heterotopia space that appeared in the plastic arts in aspects of artistic significance and aesthetic value was examined. Based on the above discussion on modern fashion Fluid Form were expressed in any formative characteristics were considered. The results of this study are as follows. Fluidity is the transformed interaction. It expanded external representation of organic body structure and reconstructed flexible forms of dynamic structures continuously. Transformation is the new space structure. It constructed invisible transformation and developed convertible dress space by combining a variety of functional overlap and fold. Deconstruction was expressed structural forms, expanding the existing forms in the open structure which have ambiguous boundaries.
The purpose of the study is to understand the unique characteristics of decoration style in traditional Javanese houses. Reviewing literature and visiting site were applied as the research method. Javanese House can be divided into three parts; roof, wall and floor. First, the roof of the traditional Javanese House is the most unique and important decorative element. The roofs are covered with roof-tiles and have clay carving ornaments on top. Usually there are no ceilings, just exposed to the oblique shape roof, which are made of wood to enable air ventilation. Joglo roof is the outstanding and representative roof type of Javanese houses. There is artistic and constructive roof structure named as tumpang sari in Joglo roof. The decoration on tumpang sari is the most colorful and symbolic ornaments. Secondly, the most unique element in the wall is the gebyok. Gebyok is made of wood and full of carved ornament, which has an artistic appearance, and also important function. The top part of doors are designed as perforated woodcarving, which give both aesthetic and ventilation purposes. Last, the stratified floor is begin with ground yard, then veranda that made from hardened clay, and main room constituted with a wood scaffold to provide air circulation and remove the humidity of the ground. The decorations of the column stand (umpak) are unique, where usually lotus flower is carved into black stone or lime stone. The outside of the buildings in Java Houses is not decorated by colors or symbols, whereas colors are only used in temples, pavilion or in royal housings. Instead they have carvings and decorations on important structural elements such as columns and beams inside. The ornaments and colors of decorations symbolize their god, ancestors and piece.

Source and use of investment money in the content business has been subject to closer attention, This study attempts to identify the information asymmetry problem in the performing art are, focusing on the Korean musical play. Despite the various discussions in the venture capital practice in the performing art area, there has been few studies analyzing the investors' perspective. While juggling with the 'artistic value' and 'rate of return', the investors are concerned about the 'transparency' of the performing art practice. When coupled with the subjective judgment of 'artistic value', the information asymmetry between the investor and the performing art manager becomes more delicate. In the performing art business, 'SPC(Special Purpose Company)' is considered a possible solution to organize the deal structure in this field. This study analyzes the role of SPC regarding the information asymmetry problem.
In light of the recent increase in new independent spaces within the field of artistic production, this study seeks to examine the daily experience and art practice of agents in such spaces. In-depth interviews were conducted with fifteen emerging artists, who manage new independent art spaces and participate actively in related activities, and the significance of their activities was analyzed. An important theoretical foundation of this study is Bourdieu's concept of the field of cultural production. According to Bourdieu, in order to understand a specific field, the habitus of agents must be studied together with the structure of the field. This study found that individuals belonging to the same or a close generation exhibit similar attitudes to life based on shared experiences, and they can be connected to their art practice. Most agents of new spaces did not have high expectations for success, and chose to practice art independently while bonding with their peers and enjoying the moment rather than wait for recognition or funding from external sources. Their self-fulfilling habitus is condition-specific and can be regarded as a form of flexible art practice. Given the poor conditions of today's field of artistic production, this is likely to serve as an advantage in entering the field and in position-taking. The social significance of this study lies in the fact that the aforementioned characteristics of the agents of independent production spaces not only reflect the current field of artistic production but also other fields of cultural production at large in our society.
Son Jinchaek got into his directing career since 1976 when he founded the theatre group Minye with Huhgyu and others. His experience in Minye was the turnaround of his life; Huhgyu was a teacher in his artist's life whereas Brecht was a teacher for his ideology to make 'Korean Theatre'. From these two teachers, he learned how and why Korean Theatre should be made. Since then, Korean theatre was his calling for 40 years of his directing career. As he established Michoo in 1986, it served a turning point in his art. His focus was on intrinsic attributes of Korean Theatre with Madang Jungshin. With Madang Jungshin, he tried to get over the former generation's fixation on external materials of Korean traditional theatre and folk culture to make Korean Theatre. Rather, he believed Korean Theatre could be realized when it grafted Korean social reality onto the stage, while the form was subsequent. He advocated Korean Theatre should mirror present social reality and circulate social energy. Also, he did not give up aesthetics. On the contrary, his aesthetic style was conspicuously evident in his productions. In spite of his life long career with noteworthy works, the critical discourses are strikingly scarce especially when compared with other senior and peer directors such as Hugh Gyu, Ahn Minsoo, Oh Taesok, and Lee Yoontaek. During his career he has crossed into various genres from Changeuk, Madangnori, and to theatres, which were too versatile to thread them into a discourse and caused a lack of theoretical greeting. Madangnori has anchored its artistic structure on its polished aesthetics which were acclaimed by the general audience for 30 years. For theatre, he concentrated on one production per year to grasp its own style. Theatre works also had revealed his own style of being opened and of being emptied which was certainly different from Madangnori, but had same aesthetic principle within it. This paper attempts to recompose his stylistic features with 'Madang aesthetics' which were based on open space, open acting style, and graphic ensemble. This paper tries to demonstrate how his 'Madang aesthetics' has refined his productions in scenography, acting style, and in more like metaphoric and metonymic symbolic expression of the graphic ensemble. To do this, two productions were explored: eLee Chunpoongjeun and Yulha Ilgyee Manbo. Madangnori was sorely explored by Son Jinchaek with his artistic colleagues Yoon Munshik, Kim Jongyeup, Kim Sungnyu, music designer Park Buhmhoon, and choreographer Guk Sooho. Though it has been ignored for its popular appeal by the doctrinaire theoretical opinions, it started to pull academic attention recently. His theatres are also getting sharp with his 'Madang aesthetics' as well as minimalistic expression in scenography, acting style, and graphic ensemble. Madang Jungshin is the soul and Madang aesthetics is the body in his artistic works. The Madang Jungshin animates the Madang aesthetics, so they become alive in his theatre.
The educational trait that the arts and cultural education and dance strive for at a time when the ethical tasks of life is the experience for insight of life. The value striving for by the culture and arts education and dance education is to structure the life form with the artistic experience through the art as the ultimate life description. This is attributable to the fact that the artistic trait structured with self-understanding and self-expression contains the directivity of life that is recorded and depicted in the process of life. The dance education in the culture and arts education has the trait to view the world with the dance structure as the comprehensive study as in other textbook or art genre under the awareness of time and education system category within the school system and it has diverse social issues combined as related to the frame of social growth and advancement outside of school. When taking a look at the practical characteristics (method) of dance based on the arts and cultural education business, it facilitates the practice strategy through dance, in dance, about dance, between dance with the artist for art [dance]. At this time, the approachability of dance is deployed in a program based on diverse artistry for technology, expression, understanding, symbolism and others and it has the participation of enjoyment and preference. The purpose of this study is to grasp the element and method of traditional expression appeared in hotel lobby spaces, and present the direction of traditional expression applicable to the domestic hotel lobby space. Therefore, this study analyzed traditional expression according to its element and method taken out from the prior researches related to it. Specifically, the element of traditional expressions divided into the element of space organization, the element of structure (bottom, wall, ceiling, window, door and pillar), and the element of decorative design(furniture, illumination, artistic ornament, color, and material). The method of traditional expressions divided into the method of prototype reappearance, prototype transformation, reinterpretation, and abstract. The target of analysis has been 27 hotels designed since 1970s. and described as expressed traditionality in architecture-technical journals and books in the inside and outside of the country. considering these results, it seems that the traditional expressions using more various elements and more various element and methods have to used in domestic hotels. Specifically, when expressing traditionality in the lobby space of domestic hotel, it is important to decided the method expressing traditionality at first, and the traditional expressions using the element of space organization, structure, decorative design, and so based on the method expression traditionality was fulfilled with coordination.
This research selected The Old Rectory, Sissinghurst and East Lambrook Manor as a case study location that is meaningful to discuss potager garden, herb garden and harvest garden, which is a topic of productive garden. This research focuses on the growth potential of Korea's rural house into a garden that embellishes decoration and appreciation. The application method through the interpretation of the case study location will be, first, organizing the shape of the flower bed and then adding additional materials along with the main materials. Second, it can increase the appreciation of productive garden through layering method and making it abundant. Third, it can be utilized well by pursuing artistic feature by combing unique color and texture of edible plants. Lastly, for the weakness of flat structure by short edible plants, vertical structure shall be utilized to provide decoration and frame. Also, by using natural materials, the ambiance of the garden can be presented.
