  • The purpose of this study is to interpret the artistic nature of fashion from the point of view of George Dickie's Institutional theory of art, which defined art from a sociological context. Five notions to formulate the institutional definition of art were regarding the artist, work of art, public, artworld, and artworld system. These notions were applied to the fashion world, and they deduced the definitions of a fashion designer, a fashion product, a fashion consumer, and the fashion system, which indicated fashion's social status in the art system. Firstly, a fashion designer plays a collective role in the product with an understanding of the consumers, professional knowledge of the design, and knowledge of making images of fashion products. Secondly, a fashion product involves artifactuality in the form of clothes created by collaboration among producers and it is transformed into fashion by collective activity of distributors and consumers. Thirdly, a consumer is a set of people who play a leading role in the assessment and consumption of the fashion product, allow the fashion designer to read his or her taste and reflect it in the fashion product although they are not directly involved in its production. Fourthly, a fashion system is a social framework for the presentation of a fashion product by a fashion designer to a consumer, and a social institution which enables clothes to transform into fashion through design, production, display, distribution, and sales. As a result, fashion is defined as an artifact in the form of clothes created by a fashion designer and presented to a consumer by the fashion system.

We perform Dan Occupational Stress Index by Ivancevich and Matteson, Parenting Stress Index/Short Form and salivary cortisol test before and after the group art therapy. For qualitative analysis, Kinetic House-Tree-Person (KHTP) drawing test was used. Using SPSS ver. 19.0, paired t -test or Wilcoxon signed rank test compared the pre and post analysis results. The results of this study are as follows. First, scores of 'occupational stress factor' subpart showed significant improvement in the Occupational Stress Index after the clinical art therapy. Second, scores of 'parental distress,' 'parent-child dysfunctional interaction,' and 'difficult child' subpart in Parenting Stress Index also showed a significant improvement. Third, a positive change was observed after the clinical art therapy in the KHTP drawing test. In conclusion, this study suggests that the clinical art therapy can be effective for occupational stress factors and the parenting stress of working mothers.

By survey, data from 1,000 respondents are used for analysis after applying proportional sampling based on the proportion of sex and age indicated in the population statistics. Exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted based on the collected data using SPSS v.22.0. The results obtained from the empirical analysis are as follows. First, regarding culture and art activities (experience, type, frequency) and subjective well-being, the results are as follows. H1. • As Music Room in Art School is mainly for exercise of musical instrument rather than any lecture or music appreciation, it should be designed and constructed in consideration with Acoustic Condition on the preferential basis. However, in case of Music Room in Art School that has been built already or latest newly constructed, since it was designed and constructed without any reflection of Acoustic Characteristics, it appeared as inadequate for them to enjoy music appreciation or performance activity. On such view point, this Study has examined the physical Acoustic Characteristics for the subjects on those Music Rooms of Art Middle School, Art High School, Art College built in Cheonbuk Province, and it is deemed that the material grasped in such way could be utilized as the valuable data enables to improve Acoustic Performance at the time when designing and construction or renovation for Music Room hereafter.

  • If we consider the origins of new architectural language in Russian, as opposed to its social dimensions, then we are looking at quite another area of pre-Revolutionary activity: art. It was Tatlin's early ‘counter-reliefs’ which first explored the way new materials might generate new artistic form. The Basis of his art is collage and the reality of materials. In 1915, he exhibited the first of his ‘counter-reliefs’, casual montages of pieces of metal that invade the space around them, making the decomposition of the forms three-dimensional. What is not in doubt is the primacy of materials in Tatlin's art. He was a key figure in the transition from art towards design and ‘construction’, the last was accomplished with ‘real materials in real space.’After the October Revolution, one of the central myths of avant-garde was the realization of a total work of art. The progress has developed in the directions to an unprecedented creative realm, situated somewhere between painting and architecture in the post-revolutionary period. Paramount among such pioneer works was Tatlin's design for a monument to the Third International in 1919. Here In an artistic form, his investigation of ‘material, volume and construction’ was clearly embodied. In the comtemporary architecture, Tatlin's concept has been a great influence on the various tendencies of spatial expressions. For example, the architecture with concept of ex-formality has many varied aspects of space composition - dynamic forms with plasticity of concrete, ex-cubic composition with free walls, disposal composition by geometric collision and superimposition, and etc.

  • Here, we studied the sports mouse guard as an oral device system, to minimize the sports related facial and dental injuries, jawbone fracture and brain injury, and by layering the hardened sheets for improving the activity performance and stable wearing. By pressuring and layering 2 soft- and 1 hard-layers of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) thermoplastic materials, for a category of martial art, record sports and leports, here we introduce a methodology for thickness control of layers to protect the teeth and oral structure. A personally customized mouse guard optimized for sports by layering a mixture of soft and hardened sheets is not easily detached during the sporting activity, easy to breathe through, comforts to wear, and also improves the sporting record. A designed EVA thermoplastic material for individual sports is used as the mouth guard, which is stably attached, easily removed, and convenient for breathing through the mouth.

  • In this study, the functional cosmetic activity of hot-water (AW) and methanol(AM) extracts from Apocynum lancifolium Russanov are examined. In the DPPH antioxidant activity test, the AW extract showed the highest inhibition rate of 90.5% (IC50 37.717 ± 8.209 ㎍/mL) and the antioxidative activity of ABTS showed a high activity in the AW extract with an IC50 of 185.244 ± 12.602 ㎍/mL and 96.2%, respectively. In RAW264.7 macrophages, the two extracts significantly suppressed the LPS-induced nitric oxide (NO), TNF-α, IL-6 production and iNOS expression level. The MTT assay measured by the cell survival rate showed that AW and AM extracts have no toxicity. The astringent activity of the AW extract exhibited the highest astringent activity with 74.336±2.487 mg/mL. Therefore, these results suggest that A. lancifolium extracts have a health promotion potential which can be further developed as food additive, natural products for cosmetic purpose.
