  • Sound has been rated negatively in many industrial areas as the noise to be removed. In the agricultural process such as rice milling based on grinding the surface of the rice, however, it may be anticipated that the sound can contain the some information on the process. In this research, on the assumption that variation of the shape of the rice kernel during milling may bring the change in frequency characteristic of sound signal, we tried to investigate the relationship between the milling degree in the grinding test mill and the resonance and anti-resonance frequencies (the frequencies at which the sound power has the extreme values).   • Transducer for ultrasonic linear motor with the symmetric and anti-symmetric modes was studied. The ultrasonic linear motor consists of two Langevin type piezoelectric vibrators that cross at right angles with each other in tip. In order to excite symmetric and anti-symmetric modes, the transducer must have a phase shift of 90 degree in space and time. Therefore, the tip of transducer moves on an elliptical motion. In this paper, the finite element analysis was used to optimize dimension and displacement of the transducer The ultrasonic motor was fabricated using the simulated result and the driving characteristics were measured. No-load velocity was 0.28[m/s] and the maximum efficiency was 30[%] in resonance frequency.

  • Noise reduction has become a major issue of the duct air-conditioners. This paper describes the reduction of noise and vibration of rotational slim duct system. The design of slim duct system is the most important point of noise reduction in terms of the motor of 2f line noise, resonance noise between forced frequency and natural frequency of Sirocco fan, unbalance noise of motor axis and the noise induced refrigerant. The noise of duct system is mainly measured from diffuser and bottom of duct. The optimal design was implemented after measuring the effect of noise and vibration in each part which is composed of duct system. In this paper, experimental results show that the main elements in air-conditioner duct design. These elements are anti-vibration rubber of motor, axis length of motor, rubber coupler, materials of sirocco fan and control method of motor which are the most vital factors in reducing noise.

온도변화에 기인한 컴팩트디스크 플레이어의 전달률 (The Transmissibility of the Compact Disc Player due to Temperature)

  • To investigate the vibration characteristics of compact disc player(CDP) due to excited vibration and disturbances, it is necessary to consider the transmissibility of the CDP. The disturbances as well as the temperature in the vehicle are the one of the important factors when CDP is designed. In this study, the effect on the temperature of the oil damper, which is applied to anti-vibration system of the CDP, was investigated. When the temperature was changed from $-30^{\circ}C$ to $90^{\circ}C$ and the properties of the oil damper (hardness of rubber, viscosity of oil) were changed, the transmissibility was measured. When the damper rubber has the large hardness, the difference of the transmissibility and natural frequency due to temperature showed the remarkable change as compared with the those of damper viscosity.

  • A linear ultrasonic motor was designed by a combination of the longitudinal and bending mode. linear ultrasonic motors are based on an elliptical motion on the surface of elastic body, such as bar or plates. The corresponding eigen-mode of one resonance frequency can be excited twice at the same time with a phase shift of 90 degrees in space and time. That is excite symmetric and anti-symmetric modes. Then it determines the thrust and speed of the motor. Linear ultrasonic motors are investigated experimentally in according to be fabricated a general classification to motor structure and material characteristic. There was the first to simulate as use of finite element analysis ANSYS 9.0. The AL-T2W8-ARM14-LEG18-ANGLE80 motor has a maxim efficiency 18 % under the speed 0.14 m/s, thrust 345 gf and preload 280 gf, operating frequency is 57.6 kHz.

  • The paper investigates the change of frequency response characteristics on two-stage gear reduction servo system according to the variation of backlash amount of each gear reduction stage, under the condition that the backlash of total system is constant. It is shown that the frequency response characteristics of the system heavily depend on the contribution ratio which is defined as a ratio of the first backlash amount to the total backlash. It is also found that there is an optimal backlash combination to maximize the bandwidth of two-stage gear reduction servo system when the allowable total backlash is determined.

철근 콘크리트 구조물의 Access Floor 수평진동 제어를 위한 실험 및 해석 (Experiment and Analysis for the Horizontal Vibration Control of Access Floor on Reinforced Concrete Structures)

  • 본 논문은 철근 콘크리트(RC) 격자보위에 설치된 access floor 에 발생하는 진동 중 수평방향 진동을 제어하기 위해 정밀 스프링 댐퍼를 이용한 실험을 이용한 실험을 통하여 수평진동 방진 시스템을 개발하였고, 대상 구조물의 진동해석을 위한 모델링과 그에 따른 해석을 수행하였다. 설계된 스프링 댐버 시스템의 방진효과를 알아보기 위하여 모형구조물에 댐퍼를 설치하지 않은 경우, 설피시 댐버를 pedestal과 pedestal에 연결하여 설치한 경우 그리고 pedestal과 격자보에 연결하여 설치한 경우로 나누어 실험을 실시하였다. 각각의 경우에 대해 충격 가진 및 외부 진동을 가해 슬래브와 access floor에서의 가속도 응답을 측정하였다. 실험결과 댐퍼를 설치한 경우에 공진 응답은 댐퍼가 없는 경우에 비해 응답크기가 감소하고, 공진 최대치도 부분적으로 저진동수 대역으로 이동하는 경향으로 나타났다. 또한 저진동수 대역에서 보다는 고진동수 대역에서 가속도 성분의 감소가 크게 나타나고 있고, 특히 외부 진동에 대해서는 상당한 효과가 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 대상 구조물의 진동해석을 유한요소법에 의해 실시 하였으며 해석을 통해서도 스프링 댐퍼 시스템의 방진효과를 확인할 수 있었고, 실험과 해석의 결과가 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 정밀 방.제진 시스템 및 미진동 제어 콘크리트 구조물 설계를 위해 유용하게 이용될 수 있으리라 판단된다.

사각헝 탱크 구조의 접수 진동 특성에 관한 연구 (Analytical and Experimental Study on Vibration Characteristics for Rectangular Tank Structure Filled with Fluid)

  • In the engine room and the aft part areas of the ship, there exist so many tank structures contacting with fresh water or sea water or oil. If these structures exhibit excessive vibrations during the sea trials, it takes a lot of cost, time and effort to improve vibration situation because the reinforcement work requires emptying the fluid out of the tanks, additional welding and special painting. It is therefore very important to predict a precise vibration characteristics of the tank structures at the design stage, however it is not easy to estimate vibration characteristics of the structures because of difficulties for accurate evaluation of the added (or virtual) mass effect due to the fluid inside the tank. In this paper, numerical and experimental approaches have been performed to present same fundamental data necessary for anti-vibration design of tank structures contacting with fluid, by investigating vibration behaviors of rectangular tank structure for various water depths.

초음파 모터용 람다형 다방향 변환자 (Multi-directionally Movable Lambda Shape Transducer for Ultrasonic Motor)

  • The transducer for multi-directionally movable ultrasonic motor having lambda shaped vibrators has been proposed and designed. The two branches cross at a right angle with each other at the tip. FEM analyses of lambda shaped transducer were carried out to find vibration modes for ultrasonic motor. The lambda shaped transducer has one symmetric mode and two anti-symmetric modes. The symmetric mode generates the normal direction motion of the tip. The lateral and vertical direction motion of the tip are excited by two anti-symmetric modes. The normal and lateral direction motions made an lateral elliptic trajectory. And the normal and vertical direction motions made an vertical elliptic trajectory normal to previous one. The transducer with 1 mm in thickness and 25 mm in length has been fabricated and evaluated. The resonance frequencies of the transducer was 32 kHz and 103 kHz. The tangential and vertical vibration displacement of the transducer having the lateral elliptic trajectory were $1.5{\mu}m\;and\;1.1{\mu}m$, respectively at the driving voltage of 100 Vpp and frequency of 32 kHz and 103 kHz. And the tangential and vertical vibration displacement of the transducer having the vertical elliptic trajectory were $0.4{\mu}m\;and\;0.2{\mu}m$, respectively at the same driving condition.
